  • The accommodation at Jackie and Dan's was lovely. We really loved being in the cosy little cabin which had everything we wanted. In particular the bed was really comfy and we were nice and warm the whole time! Jackie was really helpful and gave recommendations of local pubs - we had dinner at the Fairy Glen the first night and the second night had an Indian takeaway from The Spice of Wales delivered to the door. There is a hob in the accommodation and we made porridge the first morning so you could cook if you wanted to. The local area is stunning and we easily filled our time with walking and exploring. Would highly recommend this airbnb who people who want to stay somewhere private and cosy in a beautiful area.

  • Dan and Jackie were wonderful hosts! They were helpful and friendly while also allowing us to thoroughly enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and privacy of the cabin. The corner shop down the street had an array of snacks and drinks and even organic eggs, and the chapel on the main street was a beautiful landmark for finding the air b&b. With their suggestion, we had a great time walking the walls of Conwy. We would gladly stay with them again!

  • Very short stay for me, overnight stop on-route. Dan was very helpful (I have to thank Dan for changing the minimum stay from 2 nights to one to accommodate me) making room for my car + trailer, good directions to get there and generally good communication. Cabin was warm and clean and had everything I needed. Arriving late and leaving early, there was no hassle getting in or leaving the next morning. Exactly what I wanted. If I am down that way in the future, I would certainly consider staying again :-) Thanks Dan.

  • This cosy cabin was a perfect place to stay. I was on a business trip and it suited me well, but I would have preferred to have been on holiday and to explore the area which looked lovely!

  • Very small and cosy- we attempted to have 3 adults stay and it was a squeeze but doable. Very friendly and helpful host!

  • The cabin is as good as expected. Everything is there to spend a pleasant and nice time in Snowdonia for a very competitive price. The cabin is cosy and very clean. Even though Dan was not there, all necessary information were in the website link and his wife hosted us very kindly. Professional!

    Ronan2016-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin was wonderful! We arrived later than expected, in the dark and in the rain, and Dan still came out to welcome us! We had a wonderful, relaxing stay. The house was easy to find with the directions given and we enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere. Everything was explained in the house rules inside the cabin and we had no problems at all. We are definitely going to consider coming back to this cabin when travelling to Snowdonia.

  • Daniel was a great host. He called us in the evening the day of our hike to check that we had come back safely. The place was lovely and if you have a car it is super easy to get anywhere on the a55. The cabin itself was great and no problems! It was a great trip and we would happily come here again!

  • My friends and I had a lovely stay at the cottage. Perfect area...close to the beach, mountains and zipwire adventure centre. We had heating & hot water throuout (just need to follow instructions by turning on immersion if there's an issue with central heating). We had all channels on the TV and enjoyed nights in infront of the log fire. The views are amazing with big windows where the sun sets right on the sea. Ok it's not a 5* hotel and would benefit from a couple of updates but we paid nowhere near what you would for a hotel anyway so never expected that. Overall we had a great time & would definitely recommend it. Also Iain was very kind and sent back some trainers I left behind without a bother. Thanks for the stay :)

  • A little rough around the edges , wifi , TV , and heating could do with improvement , otherwise great place for location and layout

  • Lovely views, (don't expect luxury and take your own bedding)

    Rachel2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • A brilliant spot! We could not ask for a better location. And the views from the cottage were absolutely stunning. Not your 5 star accommodation but it's not what we were after. Very good value for your money. Thank you Iain!

    robert2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • The location is great, not far from Conwy and Llandudno and easily accessible from the cottage. The cottage has wonderful sea views and is a wonderful feature for this place. There is a lovely outside space for having a drink on the patio. However we won't return due to the cleanliness and upkeep of the property. The house has an unusable shower which was far too hot and unsafe for anyone let alone children. The windows were dirty and the kitchen smelled grimey, there were cobwebs on the ceiling which were old. A bit of dirt is manageable but this was just a little too much. There are many reviews stating the same things but nothing has been done to clean the house up, and in all honesty it wouldn't take much to get the house in a good state. Such a shame as the location and sea views would have brought us back time and time again.

    Catherine2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Unfortunately we weren’t able to enjoy the cottage due to a bereavement at home. Iain was an excellent host and was very understanding and accommodating. We hope to visit again soon.

"Craiglwyd Quarry" began extracting stone in 1834 and continues to this day... albeit a much scaled down operation! The rock is extremely hard 'Diorite' and is used mainly for road and railway construction. There are many fascinating high level walks that include the remains of the old quarry. It is also possible to climb further up the hillside and reach the historic 'Druids Stone Circle (Meini Hirion) which lies on the windswept moorlands high above the village. This well-preserved relic of Prehistoric Britain is around 3,000 years B.C! In addition to this, there is also a Prehistoric Axe Factory nearby. This was one of the most important stone axe manufacturing sites in the whole of Europe. Today, Penmaenmawr is a very popular seaside village benefitting from clean 'Blue Flag' beaches and easy access. OTHER LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: Conwy Town and its famous castle are approximately 4.5 miles away and well-served by regular public transport. Conwy's spectacular castle was built in the 13th Century for the King Edward 1st. Today it is recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. One can marvel at its huge, preserved towers and ramparts. A tourist walk around the castle walls gives a completely different view of the streets and quaint alley ways below. Conwy is also famous for the 'UK's SMALLEST HOUSE'! Measuring a mere 3m high x 1.8 m wide, this tiny one-up, one-down was once owned by a 6 foot high fisherman! There is also a good range of pubs, restaurants, cafes and fish & chip shops. LLANDUDNO: Llandudno, with its lovely pier stretching out to sea, is an excellent example of a Victorian- Era seaside resort. Bustling with hotels and all major high street stores, Llandudno is a great place to go shopping for gifts etc. Nearby is the Great Orme Copper Mines where tourists can visit this 4000 year old Bronze Age site and journey along its network of underground passages. Archaeological excavations still continue to this day and visitors can see how our ancestors turned copper ore into valuable metal. FURTHER AFIELD: Penmaenmawr is within very easy reach of the beautiful Isle of Anglesey with its rugged, sea cliff coastline, world famous Menai Suspension Bridge and moated, Beaumaris Castle. Mount Snowdon at 1085m is Wales' (and England's for that matter!!) highest peak. The village of Llanberis sits at its base and is an ideal destination for anyone interested in outdoor sports such as mountain walking, running, rock climbing/scrambling or kayaking. Llanberis can be reached in sub-thirty minutes from Penmaenmawr by car. Local 'SAVER' (WEEKLY/MONTHLY) bus passes can be purchased in the University City of Bangor. These passes are valid throughout most of North Wales. They represent a huge saving over multiple daily ticket purchases. Ideal for anyone wishing to visit/ tour any/ all of these attractions and more!!
  • Our stay with James & Julia was brilliant! Our hosts were extremely welcoming, the house was very comfortable with a great view over the sea, good breakfast and three minutes from the train station. We did not get to go on outdoors activities with them this time as we were just passing by on our travels but are sure to want to go back for some climbing and more exploring. We walked from theirs to Conwy mostly along the beach and really enjoyed the walled town's atmosphere. Totally recommend, can not be flawed.

  • James and Julia were very welcoming and the bedroom was clean and comfortable - including tea tray and sweets! Lovely views from living room and breakfast table. James has fantastic knowledge to share about the area - both for walkers/climbers and tourists. He suggested a guided walk which I didn't have time to do this visit, but definitely want to come back again and take his offer up.

  • Very good experience. Jim and Julia have fascinated us with his personality and his life story. We felt at home chatting with them and listening to their tips on what to visit in the area. They know very well the area in which they live. One day Julia accompanied us along the nature to see a waterfall. The experience was magnificent. Jim and Julia ... well done!

    Mauro2013-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Just what I needed - a comfortable room, a lovely shower and a warm welcome after a long journey. Jim and Julia made me feel instantly at ease with some great advice for my trip to Snowdon the next day. Great breakfast with the best view I have had for a long time. A fantastic little gem - so glad I found it.

  • I have stayed @ Julia and Julia for three days and I had so far the best experience from Airbnb accommodations. Jim came to pick me up @ 11pm from the rail station although the station is only hundred meters from their place. During my whole time there, they had been the best host and ensure that we all feel comfy and feel like home. I went for my 1st climbing challenge with Julia @ Snowdon , she guided me all the way and I had the best, challenging & fun time. I wouldn't had made it without Julia :) I highly recommend J&J to everyone!

'Come and stay in our AirBnB; Here where the mountains sweep down to the sea!' Spectacular views out to Anglesey, Puffin Island and the Great Orme. The Snowdonia range begins behind the village. Wonderful walking and scrambling area! Historic castles, stunning gardens and beautiful, tranquil, unspoiled beaches. Village centre a short walk. Railway station and beach five minutes walk. Easily accessible from the A55 route to Ireland. Liverpool & Manchester airports. Handy for Bangor University!
The Room Located on the second foor (US third floor!), the room has views to the North East across to Llandudno and the Great Orme and Eastwards up to the two Penmaenmawr mountains. Situated at the rear of the building it is cosy and quiet with a brand new bed and mattress. Facilities include TV, tea and coffee making facilities, and Wi-fi access. You also have the exclusive use of a bathroom with bath, shower, washbasin and WC next door to your room. The breakfast room has the view across to Puffin Island. (PLEASE NOTE: We are pleased to serve you breakfast - this is not self-catering). The House: One of a trio of three storey houses constructed by the owners of Pen quarry for their managers. Built over 100 years ago they command magnificent views across the Irish Sea to Anglesey, Puffin Island and The Great Orme. The house is adjoined on three sides by a substantial plot of land on different levels giving it an interesting perspective.
As a new visitor to North Wales or a veteran of the Welsh countryside there is something for everyone within this beautiful land. Nestling amongst Mountains and the Sea, Penmaenmawr is located between Llanfairfechan and the historical town of Conwy. If you have not previously visited Penmaenmawr, you may be unaware of its hidden treasures. If you arrive by car you will either have come by the A55 or you will have travelled from the direction of Conwy, over the picturesque Sychnant Pass which forms part of the Snowdonia National Park. This will have given you a taste of what is on offer. Relax in one of a number of good pubs and restaurants within Penmaenmawr and Dwygyfylchi, which should be able to cater for most people, or try taking a gentle evening stroll along the soft sandy beaches, looking out over the clear blue sea to Puffin Island and Anglesey and watching some of the most breathtaking sunsets. Our beach has been awarded the Blue Flag. A statue and bronze bust in the town commemorates former Prime Minister William Gladstone’s connection with Penmaenmawr. The original bust was stolen in 1977. A new bust, the work of local sculptor Peter London, a former resident of this house, replaced it in 1991.
  • Joy and Neil were excellent hosts. The room was well decorated and very clean, and the breakfast room had incredible views over the beach and sea. Breakfast was great and Neil couldn't have done more to accommodate us. I would highly recommend this property.

    Megan2017-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • The house is near bus stop so is easy to go to Conwy or other places. The train station is near..2 blocks. We love the room with the great view and the bathroom is private and next to the room. Joy and Neil were incredibles host and they worry about keep us confortable. I love to return someday.

    Karina2017-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful view but we were unaware of the proximity to a noisy freeway so this may not be the place to stay if you're looking for a quiet getaway. Joy & Neil were very helpful with local knowledge (and pronouciation) and there was excellent communication.

    Mira2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • A million thanks to Joy & Neil, they made everything perfect and made us feel fully welcome from the moment we arrived. A perfect place to stay to see all the local attractions and a comfortable and clean living space. Would highly recommend it and hope to see them again sometime. THANK YOU!!

Mid terrace renovated a few years ago sleeping 4 people, only 500 meters from a wide sandy beach, shops, pubs and restaurants in the seaside village of Penmaenmawr. A short drive from Llandudno and Conwy to east, Anglesey to the west and Snowdonia to the south.
It is a 2 bedroom house set out over 2 floors. The master bedroom (king size bed), family bathroom (bath with shower over) and twin bedroom are on the first floor. The main living area is on the ground floor with a comfortable lounge and kitchen-diner. The house was renovated a few years ago keeping the high ceilings and trying to blend original features with a light, bright interior.
Penmaenmawr lies between a wide sandy beach (ideal for families, kites and sailing) and the beginning of the Snowdonia National Park (walking, hiking mountain biking and more). There shops, cafes and restaurants within walking distance. A short drive takes you to popular tourist destinations like the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno, the historic castle town of Conwy and inland towards Betws Y Coed, Bethesda and Mt. Snowdon itself. North Wales is becoming a hub for adrenalin adventure, Zip Wires, Surf Snowdonia, Bounce Below, Llechwedd Slate Caverns, Go Below and more and all within an easy drive.

The room is in a house with a secluded garden which is very quiet although close to Penmaenmawr town centre. Convenient for shops, buses and 10 minute walk to train station. The kitchen and sitting room are on the first floor to make the most of the outlook towards the mountains. The bathroom is on the next floor up from the kitchen (2nd floor) and is shared.

  • This is a great place to stay! David and Heidi are very friendly and welcoming hosts, offering advice for exploring the area. I found the home to be exactly what I needed. There's a lot to see in the nearby areas. Wish I could have stayed here a few days longer!

  • Had a quick stay at D and H's place on our northern wales tour. We passed by late at night but the host was very accommodating and hospitable. The room is a good size and homely. Walk out not too far and there is the view of the ocean.

    Tim2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • David and Heidi were very kind but arrived a bit late, so we didn't get a ton of interaction with them; they were very friendly in the short amount of time we met with them. The outside of the building was a beautiful setting that resembled a sort of closed b garden. Our room was very clean, as well as the e bathroom. Breakfast was delicious -- bacon and eggs. Didn't have the time to check out the local town, but we did climb Snowdon per recommendation and it was lovely. Would absolutely stay here again and fully recommend this place.

  • Prix correct, proximité de Conwy, possibilité d'utiliser toutes les commodités de la maison(cuisine, salon,...).A recommander.

  • The room was very clean and I was very comfortable in it. The only thing you should know is that the bathroom for that room is two flights of stairs above the room. If you have any difficulty with stairs that room would not be good for you, however they have another room that has a bathroom. Both rooms are on the ground floor with the kitchen one floor above. I would definitely stay there again if I needed a place in that area. David and Heidi were Great Hosts and very helpful during my stay. Thanks!

Sea and mountains welcome you in a Victorian coastal favourite. Private double bedroom with rural mountain view and a sea view over Llandudno's Great Orme and Anglesey's Puffin Island from the kitchen and front patio. Penmaenmawr is situated just west of historic Conwy. Ideal for walkers, kayakers and explorers. Extra single mattress for child can be added to room. I would prefer Monday arrivals to be before 5.30 pm between April and September and before 7.00 pm from October to March.
My home is set up high in Penmaenmawr with both sea and mountain views. There is a Mediterranean style terrace (great for watching the sun go down) and a breakfast kitchen with sea views. Your bedroom is at the back of the house and looks over woodland and up to the hills at the back. There's a seating area with TV in the bedroom . Arrival time is set as after 5 pm but if you want to arrive earlier ask as it may be possible.
• Everything was awesome, Jill is so warm-hearted and really, really lovely person. Everything was so clean and our room is well-furnished and comfortable as the kitchen, bathroom. If you sleep like a top after a big adventure or excursion ( Bodnant Garden, Conwy Castle...) This is perfect place, so calm and relaxing with pure, excellent air. Thank you , Jill.

  • I just stayed overnight and Jill made me feel very welcome, she is easy going chatty and very helpful. I can highly recommend anyone to go and stay. Jill’s home is a lovely the view from the kitchen window out to sea and over toward the Great Orme is amazing. If you get there early enough you may be lucky enough to catch a sunset. My room was lovely and my bed is really comfortable. The house is high up over the village but its worth it for the views. I went for a walk around Conwy and Conwy mountain on Jill’s recommendation and it was a gorgeous day

  • Jill is a great host! She was very helpful with tips on where to go and what to do in Snowdonia National Park. We enjoyed being on the coast away from yet very close to busy Conwy.

  • Jill was wonderful and helpful host. We enjoyed our stay at her house. We would come back and see her if we would have a chance to be around.

  • A wonderful Welsh hospitality. The place is clean and close to everywhere we wanted to go. Jill is a wonderful and friendly host. She was there to receive us and she is a good resource person. She made our stay very comfortable. Thank you Jill.

  • Jill was an amazing and welcoming host. She was generous enough to pick me up and drop me off at the train station and she even spent the day showing me around to some of the local sights. The house was clean and cosy with amazing views of the water. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

    Megan2016-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • The stunning view from jill's terrace was only surpassed by the warmth and generosity of the welcome we reveived. Jill is a truly wonderful host. Her home is only accessible by car but if you have one, most of the attractions of North Wales are within day trip distance.

  • I had a great time staying at Jill's house, which has fantastic views of the sea and mountains. The house is just as described and Jill paid attention to every detail possible to make me feel welcome. The house is also nice and warm to come back to after a day out walking in Snowdonia or on Anglesey - both are less than half an hour's drive away and the house is very conveniently located for access to the A55 expressway. Jill is very knowledgeable about the area and happy to share local tips, especially if you want to kayak around the coast. She has lots of guides and maps about north Wales and its history. I enjoyed the interesting conversations we had and discovered the amazing new Surf Snowdonia centre (and cafe!) thanks to a video clip she showed me. Thanks Jill and happy paddling!

The room is in a house with a secluded garden which is very quiet although close to town centre - a veritable secret garden. Convenient for shops, buses and 10 minutes walk (downhill!) to train station. The kitchen and sitting room are on the first floor to make the most of the outlook towards the mountains.
Ground floor room, small but comfortable with tea making facilities and its own ensuite shower room with toilet and basin, large wardrobe space for backpacks, suitcases, etc.
This is an excellent base for walkers and enjoyers of the countryside. Penmaenmawr is surrounded by its own mountains but is also on the edge of Snowdonia National Park and about half an hour away by car from Llanberis and Snowdon itself. There are many beautiful and historic towns in the vicinity to explore - Conwy, with its castle, Llanrwst in the beautiful Conwy Valley, Betwys y Coed, a walkers paradise, Beddgelert, Caernarfon, as well as all the seaside towns - Penmaenmawr has its own great sandy beach, then there's Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and twenty minutes further afield Rhyl and Prestatyn.... and don't forget there's also the whole of Anglesey to explore as well as the Llyn (Lleyn) Peninsula. Check out the local walking weeks in the area to cash in on expert guidance and friendly company while exploring the countryside. And you won't go hungry in Pen - we have our fair share of eateries and takeaways to enjoy, most very short walking distances away. There are also a number of interesting shops on the high street, antique furniture, arts and crafts and our newest one, Le Chien Blanc, restoring and decorating pre-loved furniture beautifully (my own biased opinion).
  • I had a wonderful stay! The room is great, with a comfortable bed, and a good shower. David and Heidi were also very welcoming.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Hilary's AirBNB in North Wales. First of all, the location is great. Perfect for a weekend trip to Wales, as you're at the beautiful coast but also very close to the mountains and lakes of Snowdonia. We had a rental car which I recommend as with public transport it takes longer and is less convenient. The BNB itself is great, Hilary and her family are very friendly - they gave us good advice on places to go and they were very welcoming and relaxed. I recommend everyone to stay at this place! :)

    Julia2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Spent a night there on a two day trip in North Wales. The place was as described, very clean and quite. The host was very friendly and offered a nice breakfast - coffee was fabulous. The whole experience was like visiting old friends. Definitely will return to do some more area exploration soon and stay at the same place.

  • Hilary was the perfect host and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with her. Nothing was too much trouble. The accomodation was excellent and her local knowledge made my stay even more enjoyable.

  • One of the best Airbnb experiences I've had! Hilary gave detailed instructions on how to get there and catered my experience for my personal needs. I was running a half marathon so they made sure plenty of energy bars and snacks were available to me. Hilary and her lovely family invited me to have dinner with them (thanks!) and the room was super comfy. Great experience would recommend !

  • Ylenia and I were hosted by David and Heidi who were very helpful and very friendly with us. We came for a short visit from Malta and this place for perfect. Close to amenities, and with a large public parking just in front of the house. The room was very clean and we had tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and biscuits. Breakfast was great, with eggs, beans, black pudding and toast and we also had some choice of cereal. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we highly recommend it.

  • Hilary was the sweetest lady with welcoming warm hugs. Her cottage was cozy and the bed and bath were nice. The highlight was being able to chat around the breakfast table with her and her daughter and friend. I felt part of the family for a few days. I wish I didn't have to leave. The area was beautiful!

It is also super clean and looks like has been renovated just recently. Peter is a great host and we would like to stay at his place again when back to Wales. Book without any doubt

  • Astounding views, from lounge/balcony and kitchen. Wonderful high ceilings. Lounge super comfortable. Beautiful bathroom. (Each bedroom has small ensuites too.) Kitchen well stocked. Excellent value for money. Don't expect perfection. Iain was most helpful and understanding with our checking out late due to serious car problem.

  • My elderly parents, my husband and I had a great time at Iain's place. The location is great for the stunning view, accessibility to the beach, railway, shops and local areas of interest. We loved the balcony. The beds were very comfortable and there was always plenty of hot water. As there is only one shower in the two ensuites, my husband took advantage of the lovely roll top bath, in the large bathroom. Iain was a great host and was always very prompt with communication. His dad greeted us on our late arrival and he was a pleasure to meet. Thank you for a great stay.

  • Jim and Julia were very welcoming and friendly. I wasn't sure on my arrival time but they were flexible and easily contactable. The house is in a lovely location and everything was comfortable, homely and clean. Allowing me to store my bike inside was much appreciated!

  • A very lovely, down to earth interesting couple who seem to have life sussed! Jims work life balance is inspiring, with his racing cars and his work on zip wires and as a film extra. very kind and generous people. Jim gave me a quick tour of the area when i arrived, meeting me at the station. He lent me a great day rucksack for walking. And put up with my phone calls when I couldn't get the cooker to work! Lovely bedroom, just as description. Very self contained and comfortable. Penmaemawr is very handy for Llandudno, Snowdonia and Anglessey. Sweet village built up a hill. My only criticism with the my stay was the very busy A55 which runs blow the house, and is noisy day and night.

  • Wonderful hosts! Very welcoming and knowledgable about the area. They are experts on various outdoors activities and gave us lots of info on hiking Mt. Snowdon. They were also very accommodating on our last minute request for the room. Thank you so much for hosting us!

  • Staying with James and Julia was probably one of our best Airbnb experiences. They really overwhelmed us with their hospitality. We arrived a little late in the night but they were there to welcome us into their home nevertheless and spend some time to get to know each other. It was such a pleasure to meet them and hear stories from James about his work and his very exciting life. The house also was very clean and had literally everything we needed for a comfortable stay. They also let us use their kitchen to have breakfast with the amazing ocean view from their house. I will definitely want to stay with them next time I'm in that part of the UK.

    Abdullah2015-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first visit to North Wales. Why I have not been before I don't know! Jim and Julia are great hosts, great conversation and hospitality with an excellent knowledge of the local area. I had a very comfortable stay in the attic room which had everything I needed. The rock climbing was certainly an experience, I have the bruises to prove it! I would definitely recommend staying with these two, just go for it you won't be disappointed. I'll be back!

    Jessica2013-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • I have been AirBnBing around North Wales for the past few weeks, and Jim and Julia have been by far the most hospitable and helpful hosts I have come across. The room was really comfortable, and they both thought of everything. I even made a mistake with the booking and there was no problem in accommodating me. (As a side-note, they are both expert climbers and fascinating to talk to about their adventures).

    Richard2015-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Julia greeted us on the road, as I had a hard time finding house numbers on Espelande St. She guided us in and showed us where to park. The room was small but comfortable and we loved the location just a short distance from the beach. We walked down on the promenade and stayed until the sun set below the sea - beautiful sunset and a still, lovely evening. Slept well, had a nice light breakfast, and followed James's advice and directions for a trip to Holy Head and then returning on the A5 through the mountains towards Shrewsbury - probably the most beautiful drive we've had in the UK. James and Julia were great hosts and we greatly enjoyed our time in the area around Penmaenmawr!

  • Wonderful place to stay! Great host!!

    Paula2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • 【HIGHLY RECOMMENDED】 The host is very kind and thoughtful! We unfortunately had a small car accident before we arrived, and he kindly agreed to change the date one day after, giving us enough time to sort everything out. When we got to the house, we were so impressed by the tidiness and cuteness of the house. We enjoyed the Welsh cake very much. Every detail in the house is a piece of art. The living room is cozy and comfortable. The bedding uses pure cotton, providing the guests comfortable sleeps. The flower in the bathroom is also lovely. Everything is ready, including the kitchen utensils and the towel for bathing. The house is also accessible to a lot of local attractions. The BBQ in the back garden is also very lovely. There are much more things to say. One should never miss the villa when traveling to North Wales!

  • We spent two weeks as a family in this amazingly beautiful and comfortable house and enjoyed every moment. The house is extremely well equipped and has a lovely decor. It is in a region which is full of great things to do: Discovering nice little towns with castles rich of history, hiking in the awesome mountains of Snowdownia NP or enjoy the romantic beaches of Anglesey and Llyn peninsula (Tip: Whistling Sand - Porth Oer) and much more... We did not meet Gwyndaf in person but he prepared everything excellently and with love for details (we appreciated the delicious Welsh cakes and the wine). He took very good care of us by Mail. In short: The house is a real gem. The stay in North Wales was fantastic.

    Daniel2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Dear Gwyndaf, we are so happy that we can stayed in your lovely appartment! It is very comfortable and clean. We sit outside and have had a nice evening. Gwyndaf is very friendly. thank you for a wonderful holiday:)

  • We loved our stay here. We only stayed 2 nights, but the house would be ideal for an extended stay. There is so much storage and it is fully equipped. Plus it's just adorable.

    Jo2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • We did not actually meet Gwyndaf but that made no difference to our arrival at the house....we were welcomed by Welsh cakes and a bottle of wine! The house was lovely and clean, modern and homely all in one. The location for Zipworld was only 10 minutes by car and everything was accessible. Would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit North Wales.

    Carly2015-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Gwyndaf's place was in a wonderful location and immaculate! The house manual he left was very helpful, and included clear instructions on how to get to the local shop etc. We interacted via text and Gwyndaf was very helpful in the lead up and whilst we were staying in the house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Dwygyfylchi!

The room is in a house with a secluded garden which is very quiet although close to town centre - a veritable secret garden. Convenient for shops, buses and 10 minutes walk (downhill!) to train station. The kitchen and sitting room are on the first floor to make the most of the outlook towards the mountains.
This is a ground floor room with a single bed and a sofabed which will sleep two. The sofabed is regular length but the width of a small double, ie 4ft. There are tea making facilities in the room but you are also able to use the kitchen upstairs. There is a chest of drawers, alcove with rail for clothes hanging and room for bag storage, desk with lamp and swivel chair. You need to note that this room is on the ground floor and the bathroom is two floors up and shared with the hosts.
  • Hilary was very welcoming, very fast to respond to communication. Her son David came and met me in the car park and showed me round the property. The room itself was comfortable and Penmaenmawr is a gret location for visiting the rest of North Wales.

    Tom2016-03-27T00:00:00Z

  • The best part was cleanliness and friendly atmosphere of the house. The host went out of her way to accommodate our requests. They guided us well about things to see in the local area. I will definitely recommend this one

  • Hilary was a very welcoming and fun host on my weekend in north Wales. I really felt at home and enjoyed having breakfast with her and the other guest. The facilities at Fern Cottage are perfect and no problem at having the kitchen and bathroom on different floors. It just added to the homely feel!

    Doug2016-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Hilary made us feel very at home. We arrived late and there was no problem staying up to greet us. The facilitaties of the house were shared generously - even an iron when I broke my own! I would recommend anyone to stay here and hope to visit again soon myself.

    Sarah2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Felt so safe and comfortable staying with Hilary. She came and picked me up at the station and made me feel so welcome. The whole time I was there I felt like I was staying with family! Can't recommend this listing enough. She's the sweetest.

  • I had a great stay! David and Heidi made me feel very welcome - a really nice couple who couldn't do enough for me. They handled my booking at very short notice, too - which was nice. Lovely area, perfect for a nice get-away. Everything you need in close vicinity. Would definitely go back again.

  • Great location, easy free public car park opposite the house. Heidi was really kind and offered a lot of information about the area. The room was basic but had en-suit bathroom, breakfast included (eggs, toasts, cereals and bacon) and we were allowed to use the kitchen. Very good value for money!

  • David And Heidi live in a charming cottage with a precious garden and a lovely view, which besides is conveniently located just in front of a car park and a few minutes walking from a bus stop, shops and restaurants. Train station is nearby a beautiful promenade and you will hardly find a better accommodation to spend your holiday and explore the many places of interest in this enchanting area of North of Wales. I will be always grateful to David's parents for receiving me as if I was an old family friend and I hope to have the chance to visit them again in future.

  • David and Heidi were very welcoming and were able to answer questions about the area. They also had a lot of useful information to look at for local attractions. Would stay again. There was an in-room coffee/tea setup that was very convenient. It was easy to walk to shops and restaurants. Thank you!!

  • The place is a little hard to find, but once you find it you'll feel silly because it's actually quite easy after you've been once haha. I ADORE this town. I didn't get to interact with David or Heidi much, but they were very good about communicating. It's a VERY easy bus ride to Conwy and a cheaper alternative to staying in town. Make sure you explore this town though. I fell in love with everyone that lived there and the hiking... breath taking! I did have someone drop and entire beer in my purse one night hahahah. So my passport smells like Guinness forever. haha. It was my favorite place in England!

    Tiffany2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • David and Heidi were very informative and made us feel right at home. There were eggs bacon bread and milk plus cereals for you to make a good breakfast. Everything was very well explained and clean and tidy. We stayed in the ensuite bedroom that was small but clean and comfortable and great value for the price!

My home is close to stunning natural beauty (sea, sand and mountains), unlimited activities (e.g. Zip Line, Conwy Castle) and local public transport options. You’ll love it here because of its cosy atmosphere, the gorgeous views across the bay, the high ceilings of the lovingly decorated rooms and the people - host as well as fellow guests. My place is great for couples, solo adventurers, families, dogs (provided their house-trained and well behaved) and business travellers.
My Victorian house is situated in beautiful natural surroundings and offers sea view from all front aspect windows as well as mountain views up into the Snowdonia mountains behind Penmaenmawr. You'll find a well travelled host who can set you off with a good breakfast before you head out exploring. My B&B is family and dog friendly.
Penmaenmawr is a small, quiet and very friendly little town where people say hello when passing. It has everything you might need - little Spar which has long opening hours on all 7 days of the week, several take-aways, a couple of cafes and an Italian restaurant that is open in the evenings. The nearest pub offering good local food is only a 20 minute walk (flat terrain) away and we also have a post office, if, like me, you're still old fashioned enough to send the odd post card from your holidays.
  • I would thoroughly recommend a stay with Susanne in Penmaenmawr. Me and my partner stayed two nights arriving from London on Friday evening and leaving Sunday morning. We travelled by train from London and the station was a short walk from the house, less than 5 minutes. The location is close to Llandudno, Conwy and Snowdonia, a perfect place to explore beautiful North Wales. The room was fantastic, really comfortable with lots of lovely little touches where Susanne went the extra mile. Susanne is a very sociable, friendly and helpful host, who also cooks a lovely breakfast for all guests. I look forward to staying again!

  • We had a great stay at Susanne's place, it was a lovely bedroom with thoughtful touches like homemade biscuits in the room and lots of local information. Great breakfast the next day with lots of options, would definitely recommend!

  • Very nice B&B, clean and excellent breakfast options! Susanne, you are a wonderful host, thank you!

  • Wow wow wow, what a gem of a place and a host. We were welcomed into Susannes home like it was ours, her B and B is beautiful in every way. Our room had everything we needed, I seriously can't think of a single item I would have needed. The home made biscuits really topped it all off for us. We went out for a drink and some food a stunning pub 10 minutes down the road The location is perfect to visit any of the attractions nearby.... Susanne is extremely knowledgeable, and she shares some brilliant advice on places to see Our breakfast was stunning, I've never felt so spoilt... everything was perfect. Everything was made from local produce, and cooked to perfection. Thank you for an amazing stay, you will be seeing us soon(with our three mad kid tho sorry ☺️) Chris and Shelly

  • Susanne is a great host, very welcoming to both us and our dog (including a doggy bag of treats on arrival). The local area has some a fish and chip shop and a lovely pub. Susanne provided a great breakfast to help start our days of walking! We would highly recommend Susanne’s as a relaxed, homely get away.

    Kim2017-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay. Wonderful hosting - we felt really welcome and the doggie pack was much appreciated. Comfy bed - we slept really well (particularly after we climbed Snowdon). And we (especially Tony but me too) were looking forward to breakfast each morning - such a great range of breakfast and it was so delicious! And we both loved the cake that Suzanne made - it came very handy when we were climbing up Snowdon. It was great to wake up every morning with a view of the sea. It is a really lovely, clean and friendly place and we really recommend it. Edyta, Tony and Fry.

A modernised Quarryman's cottage situated close to the beach, Snowdonia National Park, Anglesey, Bangor & Llandudno. Only a 5 minute walk to the Beach and the National Park offering spectacular views and sunsets looking out to Anglesey, Puffin Island and the Great Orme. A beautiful spot with great walks, historic castles, gardens and beautiful, tranquil unspoiled beaches on the doorstep with a well serviced village centre a short walk away.
There is a king size bed in a large double room with plenty of space.
It's quiet residential neighbourhood. The Gladstone Hotel is a great pub nearby serving great food & beer. Its a 20-25 minute walk from the house or you can catch the bus down the road a couple of stops. There are also two other pubs in the village. • Amanda responded promptly and answered all my questions. The house is a little jewel--recently refurbished to a high standard of quality and taste.Good sized rooms and plenty of light.I found it peaceful --little noise from neighbours and no passing traffic apart from residents. For me the location was good--an excellent bus service to both Llandudno and Bangor. The ocean is at the bottom of the road and the mountains rise up behind the house --a beautiful location

    niah2016-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda's place is in a great location for exploring North Wales. Nearby attractions include Conwy, Llandudno, Aber Falls, Penrhyn Castle and Bangor. All of which are easily accessible by bus; the local service runs through the village every 15 minutes in the day. Snowdonia national park is also within walking distance. There are a number of different walking routes with some steep hills but spectacular views. The druid's circle, a 5000 year old stone circle which is about an hour's walk, is particularly worth a visit. The house itself has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen has all the equipment and space required for cooking. The living area is comfortable with a nice TV and dining table. The bedroom and bathroom are both very spacious and really nicely decorated. Overall, Amanda's place is a great place to get away, relax by the sea and explore a beautiful part of the country.

  • Very relaxing. Beautiful location with hills behind (nice walk to the top) and a fabulous view of the ocean and sunsets. Incredibly clean toilets (never ran out of loo roll) and showers (3 in the women's, presumably same in men's). A clean, well equipped kitchen with lockers for your valuables. Nice, clean, dry, large tent which was surprisingly warm inside on the very chill evenings (of this less than great summer); double bed very comfortable, single camp bed suitable for my 8 year old but I would have killed it and probably me so I purchased an inflatable bed (available on site or at the local supermarket); torch, plug board with 3 sockets and table with 4 chairs provided. Plenty of great things to do, places to eat and nice beaches locally.

My place is close to the Mountains, Beach, Conwy, Golf Course, Surf Snowdonia (15 mins away), Zip Word (20 mins away) Llandudno (6 miles), National Trust Properties and Gardens.. You’ll love my place because of the location, we're very accessible to get to all of North Snowdonia and Anglesey, the hamlet is lovely and has a great country pub just 50 meters away.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids).
Capelulo is a small hamlet in an amazing location, just 1.5 miles off the A55 and at the bottom of the Sychnant Pass. The local pub (The Fairy Glen) is just 100 metres away, they have a great food menu as well as some nice guest ales.
  • Perfect location for accessing all the facilities of Snowdonia National Park. Brilliant for getting to Anglesey. In a beautiful location on it's own with perfect local walks and close to a beach to boot. A great place with a local family friendly pub in a pretty little village setting. Accommodation is spacious, clean and very comfortable. The host is friendly and full of useful information. Recommend for anyone wishing to explore all of North Wales and Snowdonia.

  • Lovely place to stay, really clean, home from home with everything you could possibly want. It has a washing machine and dishwasher so take tablets with you. The bath is a short bath to fit in the space but still perfect to ease aching muscles, and there's very efficient central heating for a little burst of heat if needed, so all in all highly recommended. I'd recommend the back bedroom as the bed is a lot more comfortable, front one bit springy for us! The area is fabulous, just on edge of Snowdonia, 30 minutes drive to some great mountain walks, and close to beaches, and Conwy for shopping too. There is even a lovely walk right up in the hills behind the house. Pub next door has a lovely feel to it, although a bit pricey I think. Don't order G&T's! Thank you for a lovely stay in your beautifully furnished place.

  • Had a wonderful week in capelulo, the apartment is beautiful and much larger than expected which was perfect for the 6 of us. Comfy beds, good shower, and everything we needed for a perfect break. The village was great for us, the kids loved the park and we enjoyed the pub! Will definitely be returning. Thanks Johnny and Chloe x

  • Y Bedol is in an idilic setting in the heart of the village of Capelulo. There are ample eateries and convenience stores locally for your food needs, and the north Wales expressway is only a couple of miles away for fast access both ways along the coast. Conwy, Bangor and Llandudno are all easily accessible and great places to visit. More locally there are numerous beautiful walks and the spectacular Sychnant Pass is on the doorstep; literally! The flat is great, newly refurbished and fitted out with everything you could need. It was a real home from home for us. Jonny was welcoming and helpful; our very first Airbnb booking was a huge success! We're just sorry to be home again!

At Plas Arfon you have the beach in front of you and the mountains behind you. Guests enjoy a 10% discount at the Gladstone as well as the Castle View Bar/Restaurant in Deganwy. Plas Arfon is suitable for families and is beautifully decorated throughout. We are located on the side of the mountain in Llanfairfechan, nestled in the foothills of Snowdonia with the Carneddau mountain ridge directly accessible from our back door. Walking, climbing and biking in Llanberis, and Snowdon itself are only a 30 minute drive, with Surf Snowdonia a similar distance eastwards. The North Wales coast path (inland route) passes our front door; we welcome muddy boots. We offer good-quality sensibly-priced accommodation, and can suggest walks and other activities.
We have 2 lovely bedrooms, bookable together or separately. Our guests have use of a private lounge, with open log fire, TV and CD player. The 2 bedrooms share a bathroom. Our other bedroom can be found at https://www.airbnb.co.uk/manage-your-space/20945918

  • We had a wonderful few days at this cottage. It is has an old world magic. The cottage has lots of original features which add to it's charm and helps escape from the modern world. It is set in the owner's garden which is in an area of parkland. From the top of the cottage's garden you can see over to Anglesey and Puffin Island. You can hear the the main road noise in the garden but only as a background rumble, and we didn't notice it at all inside. With the cottage being in the owner's garden, Deborah is always on hand. She supplied everything we needed for breakfast and the kitchen is fully equipped so we cooked each night. The cottage is nicely situated to explore North Wales. We didn't spend much time in the immediate vicinity but there is a very handy supermarket on the way to the cottage.

  • Deb's cottage is in a beautiful location in North Wales, in the middle of a park that overlooks the sea. The cottage is very comfortable with two bedrooms (one double, one single), good sized living, dining rooms and a bathroom. There's a lovely private area to eat outside too. Deb provides breakfast supplies for your stay and the kitchen is very well equipped for cooking. We really enjoyed our stay and hope we can come back soon!

  • If you are looking for a quiet cosy place to stay in North Wales - this is an ideal spot. The cottage is situated on a hill with a lovely sea view. The cottage is really cosy with numerous electric heaters for those cold winter mornings. Kitchen is well equipped and the cereals, milk, tea, coffee, eggs and croissant that were provided are a really welcome treat. The location is perfect for day trips to Llandudno, Conwy or Carnarvon and Portmerion. The promenade in Lanfairfetchan is ideal for quite strolls. If you don't want to cook - there are Indian and Chinese take always and a fish and chip shop in the village close to the co-op which has everything you need if you self cater.

Breakfast is a help yourself selection of museli, yoghurt, fresh fruit, locally-baked bread, home-made jam and fresh coffee from the local Heartlands Roasters.
The room is quiet and has a comfortable double bed. It comes with clothes-hanging and shelf space, clean towels and international power sockets. The central heating means it's always cozy. The bathroom is close by, with a shower and relaxing bath.
Our home is on the edge of Snowdonia National Park, perfect for hikes and amazing views. The bedroom is quite and we slept well in the comfortable bed. Chris and Abigail are very friendly and helpful provided us very useful information about the next day's trip. We had also enjoy the talk with them in the evening. And also the breakfast they made for us in the morning. If we are going to visit Snowdonia again we are definitely choose their home again.

  • Staying with Abigail was a lot of fun, she and Chris are super friendly and easy-going hosts. They gave us some good tips, made us tea and breakfast, but most importantly - made us feel at home. Their place is in a nice little village tucked between the sea and some stunning mountains. Lots to see and do in the area.

Lovely old Welsh stone cottage set in a picturesque location in the old village of Llanfairfechan. Ideal for two adults and two children, this cosy house has everything you need, with a large sunny front garden, and sits on the boundary of the Snowdonia National Park.
The cottage sits in the upper part of the old village in a lovely, quiet and friendly neighbourhood. It has a well kept south facing and secure front garden with trampoline and picnic table. Inside, the ground floor is semi open plan. Lounge with original inglenook fireplace and wood burner leads to dining room with table to seat 4 people. Two steps lead up to compact but fully functioning kitchen with Belfast sink, double oven and fridge. The hallway leads to bathroom with slipper bath. There is plenty of hanging space for coats and jackets in the hall, which leads on to the boot room and back door to the shed and back garden. The back garden is at first floor level up some steps which are quite steep. There is a washing line, brick bbq and more outdoor seating. In the shed there is a washer drier. Upstairs are the bedrooms - double bed and wardrobe to the front, kids room with bunk beds to the back. The boiler cupboard is also in the back bedroom.
The village has plenty of interesting shops from haberdashery and crafts, to convenience stores, newsagents and a beauty salon. There is a medical practice and pharmacy, vets, barbers antique stores. There are several pubs, takeaways and places to eat. There is also a gated swing park opposite the cottage and a 9 hole parkland golf course and clubhouse a short walk away.

  • A fantastic twin bed apartment in an idyllic location with stunning country views of Snowdonia. Sarah was a fantastic hostess who gave me helpful directions at the end of what was a long days travel for me. I was extremely grateful to find Sarah had provided milk and tea on arrival to help me get settled in. I would defiantly book again if I visit the Snowdonia area again.
