There are also three 18 hole golf courses within easy reach and a good choice of sailing clubs nearby at Mylor, Flushing and Restronguet.Truro is Cornwall's only city, it's cobbled high street has a good spread of shops and restaurants as well as being home to the Hall for Cornwall and the Royal Cornwall Museum. Truro Cathedral dominates the skyline of the only city in Cornwall. Set on the original site of St Mary's Church, the current building's foundations were laid in 1880 and, today, it towers over a cobbled high street of modern shops and restaurants. Although Bodmin still holds the official title of Cornwalls County Town, most view Truro as the focal point of Cornwall. Lemon Quay plays host to many events throughout the year, including the Cornwall Food & Drink Festival in the Autumn and the famous Truro Fatstock Show just before Christmas. Regular farmer's markets occur every Wednesdays & Saturday with arts & craft markets also held on Saturdays. The Royal Cornwall Museum, tucked away on River Street, hosts many visiting exhibitions as well as having amassed a sizeable collection of its own. There is a wonderful range of shopping for the visitor including all the regular high street stores including Waitrose, Marks & Spencer, Tescos & Sainsburys, but also a wide range of more specialist stores. It's also worth a wander through the back streets and alleys to find some fabulous little boutiques. Located in central Cornwall, Truro is a great base for exploring the rest of the county: it's only 20 minutes from the North Coast, 30 minutes to Newquay Airport, 20 minutes from Falmouth (home to the National Maritime Museum) and 30 minutes from the beautiful Roseland Peninsula.Falmouth has a buzzing town centre filled with shops, restaurants and waterside attractions. Falmouth is a famous British sailing hotspot and hosts a popular Regatta Week every year in August. Falmouth, the sailing capital of Cornwall, is renowned for being the third deepest natural port in the world. It's a haven for both cruisers and racers offering the sailor the last major port before the 12 hour crossing to the Isles of Scilly. Visitors to the Port will find the town teeming with coastal treasures, ranging from fish restaurants and boat trips to The National Maritime Museum, next to Port Pendennis. Pendennis Castle, built in the 16th Century, sits high above the harbour with truly magical panoramic views across the bay. You can ride one of the Fal River Link Ferries to the beautiful St Mawes and visit Henry VIII's sister castle or take a delightful trip around the estuary stopping off at either Trelissick Gardens or Smugglers Cottage for a cream tea. Falmouth Regatta Week, in August is the town's major event both on and off the water, fireworks and the recent addition of the Red Arrows provides a spectacular back drop for some high class racing. Later in the year the Oyster Festival shows off the river's heritage to the full. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in Falmouth and recently Rick Stein brought his Fish Restaurant to Discovery Quay, adding to the superb mix across the town.

¡Realmente no queríamos irnos!

Delightful airy annexe with gorgeous views of Penpol Creek. Public water access 75m from flat; perfect opportunity for walkers to explore the foreshore and network of footpaths in this historic area, or keen kayakers/ SUP paddlers to traverse the stunning waters beyond to the Carrick Roads. Ideal for business & pleasure, conveniently located between Truro & Falmouth. Easy access to north & south coast beaches and attractions. Close proximity to National Trust Trelissick Gardens.
The annexe is a self contained unit attached to our home. Guests have own private parking outside flat. Fantastic space to use as a base for your Cornish experience with fully equipped kitchen and living area. I provide basic provisions for breakfast for a couple of days, tea, coffee, milk and additional ingredient for cooking including oil, salt, pepper etc. The living area has a double sofa bed and I can provide a travel cot and high chair if required for accompanying babies. An outside decked area offers a tranquil setting overlooking the water and across to the historic village of Point and the farmland and woods of Angarrick and Carclew beyond. Perfect for a morning coffee or glass of wine at the end of the day. Public access to the foreshore opposite the boatyard, 75m from The Annexe, enables easy launching of boats or SUPs if you have them. The launch area is tidal, Penpol creek opens up on to Restronguet and the Carrick Roads estuary and is well worth exploring. On a high tide, we often paddle across to the picturesque Pandora Inn (TR11 5ST) in Mylor (a 20 min journey by water depending on hunger levels!) perched on the waters edge for lunch or dinner. Other nearby friendly pubs are The Old Quay Inn, Devoran, 1.9 miles away, 10 mins by car or a beautiful 40 min walk along the Old Tram road and the Punch Bowl & Ladle, Penelewy, 1.6 miles away, 7 mins by car or 40 minutes walking.
Feock and the surrounding villages of Point, Penpol and Devoran are steeped in local history, like many parts of Cornwall and you can find plenty of historical landmarks relating to it's mining heritage as you explore the area. The Annexe is located on Penpol Creek, a tributary of the Carrick Roads a glorious leafy landscape that is home to abundant bird life and the occasional seal. The foreshore in front of neighbouring Penpol boatyard enables easy public access on foot to link up to footpaths or to launch a boat/SUP. We are in close proximity to the National Trust owned Trelissick Gardens (2.5 miles), which also offers access to the foot ferry to St Mawes & Falmouth. The King Harry Ferry (2.5 miles) allows vehicle crossing of the river for easy exploring of the Roseland Peninsular. If you are feeling more active Loe Beach Watersports Centre (1.9 miles) provides hire of kayaks, SUPs and dinghies. Feock is well placed just off the A39 enabling easy links to Falmouth, with it's plethora of waterside restaurants and characterful bars, to the city of Truro or to the trunk roads leading to North, West and East Cornwall.

No podríamos haber pedido mejor.

My place is close to Falmouth and Truro on a tidal creek of the river Fal. . You’ll love it because of its beautiful, quiet setting yet convenient location to explore Cornwall. Little Narabo is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families . The 2 storey accomodation is annexed to my home with an acre of beautiful gardens for you to enjoy. Plenty of room for car parking . Piano in your living area. I am a qualified aromatherapist offering Indian Head massage.
Little Narabo is a hidden gem up a leafy lane close to the village of Devoran which has a popular pub and a village hall which hosts many events. I have lived and raised my children here and the creek at high tide is lovely for swimming and boating. There are many beautiful walks to explore from the doorstep while the beaches of the north and south Cornish coast are a short drive away. For shopping we are 10 minutes to the county town of Truro and 15 from the port and University town of Falmouth. The nearest shop which has its own butchers and bakery is in the neighbouring village of Carnon Downs . Relatives and friends who have stayed with us always remark on the comfort of the beds and the lovely linen. Guests have access to a washing machine during their stay.
Devoran and this area of the Fal is unique in that it is classed as an area of outstanding natural beauty but is not over-run by tourism . The community has much to offer visitors with a good pub serving local beers and food , a village hall with many events and a regatta. Devoran is on the cycle trail that runs from the north to the south coast . Bikes are available to hire locally.

Penpol and the surrounding area enjoys access to not only boating and sailing waters, but also excellent countryside walking and riding along bridle paths, as well as the Bissoe Trail, an 11 mile cycle path starting from Devoran and finishing on the north coast at Portreath. Nearby Devoran has the Old Quay Inn, a popular local pub. There are also three 18 hole golf courses within easy reach and a good choice of sailing clubs nearby at Mylor, Flushing and Restronguet. Truro is Cornwall's only city, it's cobbled high street has a good spread of shops and restaurants as well as being home to the Hall for Cornwall and the Royal Cornwall Museum. Located in central Cornwall, Truro is a great base for exploring the rest of the county: it's only 20 minutes from the North Coast, 30 minutes to Newquay Airport, 20 minutes from Falmouth (home to the National Maritime Museum) and 30 minutes from the beautiful Roseland Peninsula. Falmouth has a buzzing town centre filled with shops, restaurants and waterside attractions.

Belmont Yurt is close to Devoran Creek on a small working farm. We raise cattle, saddleback pigs, and host horses in the surrounding fields. You’ll love it for the seclusion, peaceful environment, and great shower! Our Yurt is good for couples and families with kids.
This is a traditional Mongolian Yurt furnished with a warm double bed and children's beds as required. There is also an indoor dining table and chairs just in case any inclement weather should prevent use of the outdoor eating area! Immediately adjacent to the Yurt is your own private power shower and loo. I should also mention that this year we have installed a composting loo which so far appears to be working wonders. The kitchen area is stocked with tea, coffee and a few other essentials that you are free to use. Surrounding the Yurt is a lawn area where giant bean bags provide very comfortable seating to lounge on whilst the sun goes down.
Devoran is a wonderful Cornish village. Long summer days can be spent "messing about on the river" (or more accurately the Creek!), walking, or resting in the local pub. Devoran's location is ideal for access to numerous beaches, coastal walks, and bike trails.
  • Una escapada perfectamente tranquila y con estilo. Usted no será decepcionado.

Our comfortable family home, cosy yet spacious, in the heart of this pretty village, tucked away in a tranquil row of 3 cottages. Perfect for children, safe for older ones to roam independently, with a well equipped play park in the village green for younger ones. There's a tidal creek, great for swims, picnics, quay jumping and sailing. The welcoming village pub serves excellent food and there's a bakery with a lovely cafe. A superb location for getting around Cornwall.
Our cottage is a family home, tranquil, homely and comfortable. We would like you to make yourselves at home and feel at ease while enjoying our beautiful county. There is one double bedroom with a superking-sized bed and a calming view over the fields and creek. The single room has a memory foam mattress and is cosy and peaceful, perfect for a child or for another adult. Naturally, 100% cotton bed linen and towels are provided. The kitchen/dining room is usually the hub of the house, roomy and well equipped with an electric oven and back door opening out into the garden, which is leafy and equipped with table and chairs for outside eating. Both front and back gardens are peaceful sun traps and get the sun at different times of the day so there is always somewhere to sit outside. The pretty front garden has a garden bench and is very safe for children - the terrace is blocked off at the end so is not a thoroughfare; there are just 3 houses so you can park outside the house. The living room is peaceful and bright with two sofas, a wood burner for cooler nights (hopefully you won't need it in the summer but is easy to use) and a large TV. The bathroom is well presented with a good shower, bath and constant hot water. There is one other living room space to spread out in. There is a washing machine available. Please don't expect the blandness of a holiday home; this is a family home, comfortable and welcoming in a very child friendly and wonderful location, very much in the original ethos of airbnb. So the sofa sags a little and you have to wash your own dishes! We use any airbnb money to improve the house; last year meant that we could have new carpets, the year before a new washing machine.
Our pretty village is friendly and safe for children. What attracted us to it in the first place was the chance for children to be a bit freer and safe rather than confined to playing in the back garden. There is a wonderful grassy village green with goalposts, picnic tables and new wooden play equipment (see photos) two minutes from our house. And there are always other friendly kids to meet and play with. The tidal creek is great to swim in with a quay for jumping in, kayaking, sailing and crabbing. The pub is welcoming with a varied and locally sourced menu. There is an excellent shop, newsagents, off licence and butchers in the next village. We are set in a perfect location for exploring Cornwall - the surfy waves of the rugged north coast or the calmer waters of the south.
