Lugares para alojarse en Saint Just in Roseland
With aged oak and natural tones the barn welcomes your tired feet to a stress and city-free escape. On the route between Falmouth and the Helford River, it comfortably fits a couple with a child.
This south facing barn offers year-round accommodation with self catering facilities for those who prefer an independent break. It comfortably accommodates 2 adults and a child; with a large double bedroom and small single room. (The bedrooms are within the pitch of the roof and may not be comfortable for someone over 6'2".) The spacious open plan kitchen/lounge has solid oak flooring and modern cooking facilities with more than adequate space for evenings in. The paneled bathroom is fitted with a shower, WC and basin, with a stone tiled floor and underfloor heating. The utility is fitted with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Guests will be provided with hand and bath towels along with a welcome pack including the essentials needed for self catering. We're willing to provide advice, so please don't hesitate to ask us recommendations for activities or restaurants. We live next to the barn and will be present most of the time.
Pennance Mill is a rural hamlet on the road between Falmouth and Mawnan Smith, with country walks and beaches nearby. It's only a short bus journey or taxi trip into Falmouth, which would cost no more than a few pounds.

A stylishly furnished king-sized annex overlooking the garden with its own private entrance. The room is at the back of our Victorian townhouse and has its own ensuite shower room and a private parking space. It is located in central Falmouth close to the town centre, beaches, rail stations and some of the university campus buildings. It is ideal for couples, parents visiting their kids at university and business travellers. Please note there's no breakfast, only tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
The room and its ensuite are in an annex with its own private entrance through the garden. Guests are welcome to use the garden. Please note that there are no cooking facilities, but there is a small silent fridge. It is a quiet and comfortable space for a good nights sleep with its king-sized bed and blackout curtains. There is a private ensuite with walk in shower. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap and towels are provided. There is a 'storage corridor' with plenty of room to put suitcases etc and guests can hang clothes on hooks and hangers. There is a completely silent fridge, a DAB radio/bluetooth speaker next to the bed, and a desk to work at, or to sit and drink a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Please note that no breakfast is provided, but you are welcome to bring your own things to eat, or there are plenty of lovely cafes for breakfast in Falmouth close by.
The house is near the town centre, so there are a lot of great restaurants and some nice independent shops within easy walking distance, and a Tesco supermarket less than 5 mins walk into town. There are fab independent cafes called Espressini and Good Vibes Cafe close by which do great breakfasts and coffee, or there is a Wetherspoon pub/restaurant 2 mins walk into town which does a good full English breakfast for very little money. Or I can recommend Gylly Beach Cafe for breakfast - it is only 20 mins walk and literally on the beach!
  • Me encantó quedarme aquí!

    James2019-09-13T00:00:00Z

Malpas is in the civil Parish of St Clement and is a popular centre for boating with navigable waterways to Truro, Falmouth and the Roseland peninsula via the seasonal Enterprise boats which dock at the jetty at the bottom of the hill. There is a myth that Iseult, from the Arthurian legend of Tristan and Iseult, used Malpas as a crossing point. The Cathedral city of Truro in the heart of Cornwall is only about a 2 mile drive away and has a wide selection of good shopping including a Waitrose, Tescos, Sainsburys, Marks & Spencer and many other high street outlets.

Estancia impecable

Lovely, snug flat perfect for two guests looking to hide away somewhere in the middle of Falmouth, with gated parking and outside seating area overlooking the harbour.
Falmouth is well known for its waterside activities, and lively town vibe; and this flat gives great access to both. It's bang smack in the middle of the town, right on the water, and has the rarest of advantages in town - its own parking spot, which is inside a secure gated area. Newly refurbished, it's clean, warm and comfortable, but also (hopefully) tastefully kitted out with some home comforts. For sunny days, you won't be found wanting for access to any number of activities, safe in the knowledge that your car doesn't need to move after x number of hours. Regular activities on the main town squares are within easy walking distance, boat trips from the pier are on your doorstep, and the ferry to St Mawes less than 100 metres away. For rainy days, there's the telly with access to Sky...plus a variety of board games...and a PS3 with some old school classics...not to mention the bookshelf...or DVDs. Lastly, I do love a good coffee, so there's a nice Nespresso machine here to be used.
Falmouth is a year-round vibrant town, unique to Cornwall in that there is the omnipresent university crowd who give the area its energy. Three great beaches, countless good eateries, river cruises, fishing trips, walking routes of any length, pubs-a-plenty, and near to any number of days out...this town really is a great centre to a south Cornwall break.

Tucked away on the banks of the River Fal, our secluded, wild location is one of the most unique settings in Cornwall. At the heart of the venue is the 300 year old Lost Cottage of Penperth. In addition there are 4 individual accommodation pods; the Treehouse, Potting Shed, Hunting Lodge and Shepherd's Hut. Set within an ancient oak woodland in a private creek, the scene is wild, creative and peaceful. It is the perfect getaway for big groups, families, friends, corporate and more.
There are 18 beds in total: the Treehouse (Sleeps 2), Potting Shed (4), Hunting Lodge (Sleeps 2), Shepherd's Hut (Sleeps 2) and the Cottage (Sleeps 8). Our adventurous venue has a large fire pit, long outdoor feast table, hammock area overlooking the river, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen including clay pizza oven and gas hobs. There are two toilets, two hot outdoor showers, a washing up area, as well as a large versatile barn, with wood burner and indoor seating; perfect for parties, dining, reading and relaxing. All this plus acres of woodland to roam and wild swimming in the river. The Fal estuary is also the perfect spot for kayaking, canoeing or fishing if you have your own equipment, or subject to availability, we can contact local companies to take groups out on the river in Canadian Canoes or offer kayak hire direct from our creek.
The Roseland Peninsula is a beautiful, peaceful part of Cornwall. The King Harry Ferry (also known as the moving bridge) makes it extremely accessible to Truro and Falmouth. The Roseland hosts some of the best beaches on the south coast (Porthbeor, Towan, Porthcurnick and Pendower just to name a few). All great for swimming and beach days and all within 15 minutes drive from our venue. Local villages such as Portscatho and St Mawes provide convenience stores, pubs, restaurants and cafes as well as picturesque views of the coastline. Boat trips from St Mawes to Falmouth run daily and frequently all year round (except in very bad weather). The Fal river - where we are based - is one of the deepest natural harbours in the world. It boasts beautiful scenery and wildlife. We highly recommend including some time on the river during your stay.

Saint Just in Roseland, Inglaterra, Reino Unido

First floor, two-bedroom apartment with a delightful view across Falmouth Harbour and the Carrick Roads towards Flushing. Accommodation comprises a comfortable lounge with views, kitchen, shower room and two bedrooms; one is a double bedroom with great harbour views, and the second if set up with two single beds. The lounge has all the comforts of home and a large, bay window with stunning, far-reaching views over the water towards the fishing village of Flushing and the Roseland Peninsula.
First floor apartment with communal entrance hall and stairs leading to the first floor. Bed is kingsize, comfortable and furnishings are of a high standard. This apartment is ideally suited to a couple. The kitchen includes a Nespresso coffee machine and a welcome pack includes all you need for that fabulous cup of coffee on day one, overlooking the harbour.
The flat is with two-minute walk from three great pubs, all of which sell good food and drink. The main town is the same distance away by foot and it's a slightly downhill walk into town.

Located in the tiny village of St Just in Roseland, this delightful cottage offers a traditional and very good value place to stay close to St Mawes. The cottage has low beamed ceilings, bags of character and the benefit of a patio garden to the rear. April Cottage welcomes well behaved groups of young people and also dogs at no additional charge.
April Cottage is a pretty little 3 bedroom terrace cottage in the tiny village of St Just in Roseland, just a 5 minute drive north of the famous village of St Mawes. This is a really traditional holiday cottage with bags of character, low beams, some slightly older style furniture and fittings, but it is a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. The cottage is positioned on the main road and there can be a little disturbance from traffic, however this is clearly represented in the price and it is the best value three bedroom property on the Roseland by far! Particular care has to be taken when leaving or entering the property with young children or dogs due to the proximity of the road. Although April Cottage is in a busy position, it is a very convenient location. The whole of the Roseland Peninsula including all the wonderful beaches, walks and waterborne activities are just a short drive away. There is a stone beach, boatyard and boat launching point in the nearby St Just Creek which is a 10 minute walk away. The incredibly pretty church and churchyard at St Just cannot be missed during your stay.Accommodation Ground Floor: Kitchen, dining room and sitting room with separate family bathroom with over bath shower & WC.First Floor: Master double bedroom with king size bed.

¡¡Muchas gracias!!

We’d love to welcome you to our gorgeous cosy shepherd’s hut. Warm & cosy in all seasons. LOGBURNER. Insulated, ensuite proper loo & shower, electric, fridge, oven & gas BBQ. Enjoy views of spectacular scenery, sunrises & sunsets in rolling countryside in a secret, unspoilt corner of Cornwall on the stunning Roseland Peninsula. Get away from it all and relax with total peace and quiet, a short stroll from the water and beaches and less than 2m from the picturesque seaside resort of St Mawes.
Shepherd’s Delight is a beautiful space we’ve created with a pretty custom-made shepherd’s hut designed to offer all your home comforts together with the charm and fun of a traditional shepherd’s hut. The hut is beautifully situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You’ll probably arrive via the historic King Harry chain-link Ferry. Once here you’ll enjoy stunning views of t¬he rolling Cornish countryside and surrounding farmland. The hut is uniquely positioned so you can enjoy uninterrupted views of both the sunrise and the sunset (if you’re up early enough!). Red sky in the morning – shepherd’s warning; red sky at night – shepherd’s delight! (Hence the name!) From the bedroom window there are sea glimpses where you can see the passing boats on the stunning Carrick Roads and waters of the River Fal. Relax and enjoy total peace and tranquillity bar the occasional squawking seagull, clucking chicken or passing tractor. The hut is located in a mini-orchard within the gardens of our little Cornish Cottage between apple trees and wandering chickens. You’ll enjoy your own totally separate space including an elevated decking area to enjoy the warm Cornish sunshine and breath-taking views. If the sun gets too warm then the apple trees provide some lovely dappled shade. The hut is nestled into a peaceful little corner of the gorgeous Roseland Peninsula which is almost an island surrounded by water. Everywhere you look there’s a river, creek, a beach or the sea! You’ll be really close to the sea, St Just creek, the River Fal, the stunning seaside village of St Mawes, beaches, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing and the South West coast path. A 1 minute stroll up the public footpath offers a 360 degree panorama to appreciate the sheer beauty of the location with breath-taking views of the River Fal, the sea, the charming port of Falmouth, the sailing village of Mylor across the water to the west and the rolling countryside all around. The garden is a wonderful spot for spotting wildlife. Deer, birds of prey, owls and bats are often seen. At night the rural location means the starry skies on a clear night are amazing! Before we were lucky enough to move to Cornwall we holidayed here many times and we’ve tried to create a place we’d have loved to have stayed in. We’ve tried to think of everything you’ll need to enjoy a relaxing, super-comfortable and enjoyable stay. We’ve tried to strike the perfect balance between rural, rustic charm and little touches of luxury. The facilities of the hut include: • Double bed with super comfy mattress and cotton linen • A cosy sofa • Log burner with cooking plate to keep you extra toasty and cosy on cool evenings. • Full ‘traditional’ mains water toilet and shower facilities within the shepherd’s hut - with complimentary toiletries and fluffy cotton towels • Mains electricity – enabling cosy lighting, modern kitchen facilities and charging for any tech / gadgets • Free Wi-Fi – watch Netflix and chill if you like! • The hut is fully insulated so is warm and cosy in all weathers • The hut is tastefully decorated in Farrow and Ball paint with Orla Kiely curtains. • Storage space for suitcases / bags and hanging rail, iron and hair dryer. • Kitchen facilities: o Cooking is up to you – inside there’s a mini oven with grill and hob or outside there’s a choice of a gas barbecue or a charcoal one for the traditionalists which is small enough to take to the beach for a beach barbie! o The kitchen is fully equipped including a vintage whistling kettle and all the pots, pans, cutlery, plates, mugs and glasses you’ll need to cook up a feast or rustle up some drinks (including the essential big gin glasses!) o A spacious fridge (with small freezer compartment) is provided together with a vintage cool box and cool blocks for picnics (ice block freezing on request) • We’ve also supplied some classic retro board games, an OS map for local walks, local interest books and pamphlets and there is a small library in the village (very small, fits inside an old red telephone box!) • An authentic tin roof adds a traditional charm and a lovely cosy sound when we get the odd rain shower! • A secure off-road parking space is provided on our drive to the front of the cottage. • Outside there’s an elevated decking area equipped with a gas BBQ and bistro table and chairs for al fresco drinks and dining within the pretty Cornish cottage garden. • The decking benefits from the morning sunrise and the last of the sun in the evening including some lovely sunsets. • Help yourself to herbs for cooking or more importantly for Pimms or gin and tonics! Feel free to pick apples and blackberries too and eggs don’t get any fresher than those laid by chickens in the garden!
If you’ve never been to this part of Cornwall before you’ll wonder why not! Just don’t tell too many people about it! The Roseland Peninsula is something of a hidden gem in the Cornish Riviera. We’re fairly off the beaten track compared to the mass tourism hotspots and the Roseland is wonderfully unspoilt and peaceful. Even in peak season it’s always easy to find your own corner of peace and quiet and there’s generally always plenty of room on our stunning beaches. Take a look through the photographs to get an idea of the beautiful places that’ll be on your hut-step to explore. St Just in Roseland itself is very quiet. Not a lot goes on here. And that’s the way we like it! Just sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery! When you’re ready to explore St Just has a famous 13th Century church set above the tidal creek of St Just Pool with a beautiful churchyard and gardens luxuriantly planted with sub-tropical plants. The tranquillity of the gardens of St Just in Roseland are a delight. Explore the winding paths through the bamboos, follow the running stream down to the creek and pause by the Holy Well. Beautiful views lead the eye over to the boatyard or back towards the church. It was described by John Betjeman as ‘to many people the most beautiful churchyard on earth’. There’s a tea room which does refreshments and amazing cakes and Cornish cream teas (jam first of course!) St Mawes is a small fishing village turned fashionable little seaside resort nestled at the very end of the Roseland peninsula. Surrounded by the sea and gentle hills, St Mawes is quite spectacular! St Mawes, and other villages on the Roseland, such as Portloe, Portscatho and Portholland, have to be some of the most exclusive waterside villages within Cornwall. Of course being right on the seafront these villages are also a haven for the gastro enthusiast, with restaurants and pubs serving up superb fish and shellfish dishes all year round as well as the more traditional dishes. Being positioned within the Gulf Stream, the climate in St Mawes and on the Roseland Peninsula is very mild all year round and during the summer temperatures can reach that of the Mediterranean, as a result there are beautiful semi-tropical local gardens throughout the Roseland with exquisite fauna and flora. St Mawes benefits from lush turquoise blue calm waters which are ideal for swimming, inflatables, paddle boarding, kayaking and sailing. There are 2 great fun diving platforms to swim out to and take the plunge! And when you’ve worked up an appetite there’s usually plenty of room on one of the beaches for a beach barbecue! The King Harry Ferry is really cool and a great fun way to cut the journey time from the mainland. Incredibly, a ferry has operated from this site for more than 500 years! The “new” ferry is the 7th to operate a vehicle service since the King Harry Ferry was established in 1888. If you’re staying a while invest in a Mussel Card (no Oyster Cards down here!) which makes the crossing cheaper and is valid on all of the Fal River boat trips.

¡No queríamos irnos!

The Roseland Peninsula is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and forms one of the finest sections of Cornwall's South Coast. From Mevagissey in the east to the Fal Estuary to the west, the Roseland has been drawing visitors for years with its splendid coastline, unique gardens, historic villages and superb sailing waters. A truly magnificent part of Cornwall, the Roseland is a wonderful place to spend a memorable holiday. From The Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project in one direction and Falmouth and the National Maritime Museum in the other the Roseland is brimming with places to visit and things to do. The area is an excellent centre for visiting Cornwall's famous gardens, most of the major gardens all lie within a 25 mile radius; and are particularly magnificent in the spring when the magnolias, rhododendrons and camelias are in flower. The closest village to Crugsillick is Veryan - most famous for its nineteenth century thatched Round Houses. There are five in all, two pairs of which stand at each end of the village and another in the centre. They were originally built by the vicar, the Reverend Jeremiah Trist for his daughters and built in the round so that there were no corners where the devil could hide. A crucifix on the top of each one adds extra protection! Veryan has a children's playground, an excellent village shop and a good pub. Very close to Crugsillick is the lovingly restored Melinsey Mill which serves lunches and cream teas.A couple of miles to the east, Portloe is considered one of the prettiest villages in Cornwall. Its steep sided valley has meant that it has managed to escape development over the years and many buildings differ little from when they were built. Sir John Betjeman said of Portloe "One of the least spoiled and most impressive of Cornish fishing villages". The Lugger Hotel has an excellent restaurant and the Ship Inn is also a good place to eat.St Mawes is a lovely small town with lots of places to eat from smart hotels to fish and chips, small shops and a pretty harbour with opportunities for sailing, kayaking and fishing. St Mawes Castle, built by Henry VIII in the 16th century sits on Castle Point at the mouth of the River Fal. At the top of St Mawes, Lamorran Garden has a wonderful collection of tropical plants with lovely views down into the Harbour. There are many pretty churches in the area but St Just-in-Roseland has, arguably, the most photographed church in Cornwall. The 13th century church sits quietly tucked away on the edge of the creek surrounded by exotic trees and shrubs.Portscatho overlooks the dramatic Gerrans Bay towards Nare Head. A quiet waterside village, Portscatho has a very pretty harbour, a good pub, an excellent general store, two modestly priced restaurants and three galleries. Above the closest beach, Porthcurnick, is the Hidden Hut - a well-known and excellent lunch, tea and ice cream venue. Portscatho was once a busy fishing harbour, but now it has become a haven for artists. More than anything, Portscatho is a place to relax.Events on the Roseland get a bit busier in August when sailing regattas, carnivals and fun days take place in many villages and the waters of the Carrick Roads. Year round, though, it is the beauty of the coast here that brings people back again and again. There are some stunning beaches around Gerrans Bay from Carne and Pendower in the east stretching round through Porthcurnick (Rosevine) and on to Towan and Porthbeor to the west, they are nearly all very accessible and have plenty of exposed sand at low tide and magical rock pools which can keep children engaged for hours. Most importantly compared to the hustle and bustle of the north coast they are comparatively empty!

St Mawes is one of the finest waterside villages in Cornwall. Situated overlooking an idyllic bay on the eastern side of the famous Falmouth Estuary, St Mawes has one of the mildest climates in Britain due to its proximity to the Gulf Stream. The sea is at the heart of the village and has helped to shape St Mawes from the little fishing village to the fashionable holiday destination that is so popular with visitors. A mecca for boating enthusiasts, St Mawes is a particularly popular sailing centre. Weekly club racing, village regattas and larger events are commonplace on the superb waters of the bay all through the summer.St Mawes has so much to offer the visitor. St Mawes Castle was built by Henry VIII and is a splendid place to take in the views of the Carrick Roads. There are miles of coastal and countryside walks to take in and some idyllic beaches on which to relax and watch the world go by. The little Place Ferry takes visitors to explore St Anthony's Head or there are regular ferries to Falmouth. Being situated on the seafront, the village is also known for the restaurants and pubs that serve superb fish and shellfish dishes all year round.
