Old Smock Mill is a romantic place for couples. The atmosphere inside is peaceful and relaxing. Everything is designed to unwind you from the moment you walk in. It is surrounded by the lovely Kent countryside where you can ramble and refresh yourselves by perhaps ending the day in one of the great pubs cosy by a log fire in Winter or in Summer in an English garden. Guests have said how hard it is to tear themselves away, it truly is a treasure to find.
The Old Smock Mill is a gorgeous four storey building it has carefully been restored to a very high level. We now have opened the ground floor so if couples wish to come with another couple you have the option. The ground floor area can only be booked with the upper holiday let as they are in close proximity of each other. The ground floor website is Old Smock Mill Garden Hideaway. The Mill has eighteen inch brick walls and a white weather boarded tower which stands out on the landscape. The oak exterior staircase leads up onto the beautiful staging where you enter into the Mill. Massive beams span each floor carrying the original upright shaft giant spur wheel and sack hoist. It is a very unusual romantic and memorable place to stay. Each room has been carefully designed to be in keeping but comfort and modern facilities are well catered for. A welcome basket including the owners chickens organic eggs will be given on arrival. Bedroom: Beautiful French king size bed with crisp white cotton sheets. There is a beautiful old copper basin sink and taps and a unique pulley system for hanging clothes. Large beams hold the iron giant spur wheel a stunning spiral staircase leads to the bathroom. Bathroom: Double ended bath, pedestal basin and toilet. Walk in wet room shower with under floor heating. White fluffy towels and locally made hand wash are supplied as standard. Kitchen: The kitchen is well laid out with washing machine/dryer oven hob fridge/freezer dishwasher toaster kettle and a good range of saucepans frying pans cutlery glass and china. Living Room: Dining area with round table and four chairs. Sitting area comfortable leather sofa and two chairs TV DVD player and WiFi. A gas wood-burning stove is great to sit by in the evenings. Other: The 9' wide staging where a round teak table and four chairs are supplied. A bench on the morning side of the staging and two teak steamer chairs for sunbathing. There is an area under a large old apple tree which can be used in the garden for barbecuing. Cleaning/Towels/Linen: All towels and linen is included. Each week the linen and towels are changed and the mill is cleaned. Amenities/Facilities: Barbecue, Parking, Views onto the owners garden. Dishwasher, Fridge/Freezer, Hob/Stove, Oven, Tumble Dryer, Washing Machine. Central Heating, Internet Access, TV. About the area Accessibility The Windmill is not suitable for wheelchair use. Outside The area around the mill at first floor has a oak staging balcony 2.5 metres wide which encircles the mill. There are quality tables and chairs provided with teak steamers and cushions for relaxing in. A barbecue can be supplied to be used in an area in the garden not on the staging. The owners garden is private. Coast/Beach The local beach is Camber sands with its fantastic sand dunes and wide open sandy beaches. It lies close to the lovely Cinque Port town of Rye. Well worth a day trip! There is also the seaside town of Hastings approximately 30 min. away with its famous fishing huts and Jerwood Gallery. The old town is very charming and full of unusual shops but the beach is mainly pebbles. Golf The local area is rich in golf courses with a varying degree of difficulty. In forest Cranbrook there is a full 18 hole course which is less then five minutes away. In Biddenden there is a par 3 18 hole course called Chart Hills and Dale Hill at Flimwell. How to get there Gatwick is 36 miles away. Heathrow is 54 miles away. Ports of Dover 40 miles and Folkstone 36 miles (for euro tunnel) respectively. A car is essential for getting around as the bus services are intermittent. Taxis can be used but need to be booked. Staplehurst station with a direct line to London in under an hour is 15 mins away. Distances Benenden is around 10 min. walk and is the closest village. Tenterden and Cranbrook are around 10 min. by car, both are interesting places to visit. Cranbrook with it's working Windmill and Tenterden with the steam railway. Bewl water (also is the place of lapland UK) which is great for renting bikes and catching a ferry round the reservoir is about 15mins by car. The famous gardens of Sissinghurst Castle and Great Dixter are 10 min. by car. Further Details Benenden has a village shop and traditional butchers. For bigger shops Tenterden contains a Tesco & Waitrose. In Cranbrook there is a co-op supermarket and Hartley Dyke farm shop which also has a great fish shop at good prices. There are ATM machine and Banks in both Cranbrook & Tenterden. Both Tenterden and Cranbrook have sports halls indoor swimming pools and public tennis courts. Apicius is a Michelin starred restaurant in Cranbrook booking essential. West House at Biddenden is another Michelin starred restaurant. The Bull at Benenden has good pub food and the Woodcock at Iden Green both reasonably priced. Fabios' in Cranbrook is a deli/cafe and has delicous Italian fare and serves the best coffee around.     Romantic and stylish apartment, It's the perfect base from which to explore Edinburgh from. I've already had some great people come and stay, so I welcome you to my home. Edinburgh castle is a short walk away from the apartment, and the National Gallery, St Giles Cathedral, National Museum of Scotland are all close by. My apartment is on the fourth floor of an 18th Century tenement with views on to the historic Royal Mile. With all mod cons and a unique location, this is the perfect apartment to have as a base while you explore Edinburgh. The apartment retains the unique character of the Old Town with oak panelled walls and parquet flooring, mixed with family portraits, antiques and works of art, but also all the modern comforts of a home. It is on the fourth floor and is reached by a spiral staircase (76 steps in all!) For our American cousins that's a walkup :-) There is no elevator. The apartment is South facing and full of light by day. The hall has a cupboard to hang clothes/store shoes etc. There is also an ironing board/iron and a hair dryer kept here as well. The bathroom has a bath and a shower, there is always hot water and plenty of towels for you to have. Then through the main door off the hall, is the open plan living space. Five full height original Georgian sash windows face you as you walk into the space. Floor to ceiling book cases and a large period fireplace with French empire over-mantle mirror. There is free wifi throughout the apartment, also a big collection of fiction/history/cookery/poetry/art/design books to while away the time with and I have a music/radio player with an eclectic choice of C.Ds. Plus cards and board games. A large kitchen space with character and all the modern cons - toaster, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, oven, kettle, induction hob etc. However I don't own a microwave. There is a washing machine and there is washing liquid capsules for it under the sink, just put one of these inside the washing machine drum and close the door and turn to what ever setting you want. I do not have a dryer (it's not that typical here in Scotland/Europe) what I do have is a clothes horses which you can hang your clothes on. Their kept folded up in the hall cupboard. I hate staying in apartments on holiday where there aren't even any basics to cook with like salt and olive oil, so the kitchen is stocked with all the usual larder fare to help yourself to if you're cooking in. Plus coffee and all sorts of teas. I also have an honesty bar if you want to finish off with a drink or two after a long day of walking around town. By the windows is the generous dining space with oak dinning table and six chairs. The bed is a unique 'bedbox chamber' made from architectural salvaged fitted Scottish 18th/19th century carved oak. A floor to ceiling hidden panelled door lets you into this cosy space with reading lights on the headboard and it is fitted out with a British king size mattress - width 150cm and length 200cm, white cotton sheets, pillows and duvet. Mary Queen of Scots would feel quite at home sleeping in it! The living room area of the apartment is tucked at the West side of the room and has two good size sofas, reading lamps and is perfect to socialize in and also have quiet time with a good book.     Edinburgh is beautiful and historic. This apartment is in the oldest part of the city, close to the castle. Museums, restaurants, and good coffee shops are really close by, as are the train station and airport links.

Tess amablemente me enseñó cómo usar una lavadora, lo cual es difícil de entender para los extranjeros. La habitación es luminosa en cualquier clima.   • Fue un lugar maravilloso para quedarnos como nuestro primer alquiler de tres durante nuestro viaje de Londres / París con mis 3 hijos y mi madre. Tess puso el listón alto con excelentes comodidades, lugar limpio y respuestas rápidas. Se sentía realmente hogareño y, aunque llovió uno de los días, disfrutamos de la vista del patio trasero y de la soleada terraza acristalada donde tomamos el desayuno y los refrigerios después de nuestras excursiones turísticas diarias a la ciudad. El vecindario estaba tranquilo con un puesto de frutas y verduras al final de la calle donde pasábamos por allí para obtener frutas frescas todos los días. Hay otros mercados y restaurantes cerca. La ubicación era genial porque queríamos un lugar un poco alejado de los lugares turísticos para descansar. Me encantó que pudiéramos lavar la ropa también.

  • Este es un piso de planta baja muy bien presentado cerca de 3 estaciones de metro. Es amplio y luminoso y tiene su propio jardín. Mi familia se alojó aquí por 3 noches y, aunque hubo una fuga de agua importante desde el piso de arriba (sin relación alguna con este encantador apartamento), disfrutamos mucho de nuestra estancia. Tess ha brindado detalles adicionales y reflexivos, como consejos de restaurantes locales, jabones y champús, cápsulas de café y una cocina totalmente equipada. Football: Emirates Stadium is a 20 mins walk away. or Movie Fans; At the back of St Pancras Station ( Batman Begins 2005) is Somerstown, featured in the film of the same name. Chaplin 1992 and countless films were filmed by the canal there, which has now been opened up for visitors and has a new street food market and a brilliant music venue called Kings Place. The Spice Girls filmed in the now magnificent St Pancras Hotel -- well worth a visit. All 8 Harry Potter films were filmed at Kings Cross Station so fans will want to visit platform 9 and 3/4 - ask anyone where it is. Alfie, Breaking and Entering, Nanny Mcfee 2 were filming in that area as well as Regents Park, Primrose Hill, Regents Canal. Camden has been filmed in numerous times. And Robert Downey Jn had his photo taken right outside my front door for Sherlock Holmes. And I missed it...     ROUND THE CORNER: I live on a main road just down from a small high street with basic shops and cafes in it. If you want West End stores then my local bus takes you right to Oxford St in 20 minutes. There are buses near me for all the major sights of London as well as the tube, Camden Town. By my home there are 3 supermarkets, organic butchers, an Earth Store, 2 book shops, one of the first cycle shops in London, a pharmacy, ATM and Post Office, 3 train stations, and a great vegetable stall, ** There are 3 good local restaurants and more. IN WALKING DISTANCE: Camden is a vibrant area with many different cultures and creeds. This is reflected in the street life. We have a farmers market, boutiques, cafes, coffee houses, the Jazz Cafe, a Cinema, the Jewish Museum, welcoming pubs and small restaurants, thriving night clubs and a ground - breaking music scene, as well as charming neighbourhoods and easy access to London's Museums. I have lived in this area for over 27 years and still love it. *7 mins - Welcome to Camden Market packed with 100s of stalls, that receives over a 100 thousand people each weekend. This colourful street market is world famous and provides a glimpse of all of London's many tribes and fashions. *8 mins walk along Regents Canal to London Zoo and Primrose Hill with one of the best views of london. It has also featured in many films. *12 mins walk to Regents Park which has an open air theatre, cafes, walks and events. *23 mins you can walk to the British Library (next door to St Pancras Station) with the exquisite Treasures Room, 14 million books, cafes, exhibitions, and a huge statue of Newton thinking about gravity.

Un apartamento alicia maravillosamente peculiar en el país de las maravillas con sorpresas en todos los rincones: conchas marinas, una casa de muñecas, sombreros fabulosos ... También disfruté navegando por la ecléctica colección de libros que van desde Dostoievski hasta Alexander McQueen. La cama era cómoda y el apartamento era acogedor a pesar de mi visita en febrero frío. Cocina muy bien equipada con todos los utensilios de cocina que pueda necesitar. El registro y la comunicación con el host son extremadamente fáciles y eficientes. Excelente relación calidad-precio y no dudaría en recomendar.

The room has a fridge, kettle and a TV but you are also welcome to use the kitchen and lounge. Help yourself to cereal and toast in the morning. Our apartment is within a beautiful Victorian red brick factory that was converted into apartments. We are situated at the end of a quiet cobbled street. Please note we have two very friendly, well behaved cats.
    The room is a good sized double with a new bed and a fridge. There is also tea, coffee, sugar and milk but feel free to use the kitchen. In the morning you can help yourself to cereal, bread, preserves and eggs. There is ample space for your clothes and along with fresh bedding and towels we also provide shampoo. Our apartment is on two floors with your bedroom and the shared bathroom being on a level of it's own.
    Our flat is beside several cafes, bars, shops and is only 15 minutes walk from Edinburgh Playhouse and the Omni Centre where there is a cinema along with a great selection of restaurants and bars.

    A renovated wooden horse stable with mezzanine bed up a ladder, wood-burning stove (pots/pans/utensils etc provided), kitchen sink with fresh drinking water and DIY outdoor (hot!) camping shower. This is simple, rustic living for those who want to be closer to nature, surrounded by trees and birdsong. The site is not completely free of road noise (see satellite image) but with a light wind through leafy trees it's certainly well masked. Winter visitors be sure to bring appropriate day/night wear.
    Biggar is a historic market town, Coulter has great walks and an excellent old pub - The Mill Inn. The woodland around the bothy has many species of birds including sparrowhawks and firecrest wrens, the occasional fox and regular visits from deer.

    Gaze out across the rooftops from this bright upstairs flat. The space features a unique mix of antique and modern furnishings, an open-plan living area, a large skylight, a cosy minimalist kitchen, and pops of colour throughout.
    My apartment is on the top floor of an 18th Century tenement. With all mod cons and a unique location, this is the perfect apartment to have as a base while you explore Edinburgh. The apartment retains the unique character of the Old Town with oak parquet flooring, wooden window shutters in the bedroom and a mix of contemporary and antique furniture throughout. It is on the fifth floor and is reached by a spiral turnpike staircase (102 steps in all!) For our American cousins that's a walkup :-) There is NO LIFT/ELEVATOR so if you have very large/heavy luggage or struggle with stairs this isn't the place for you to stay and I'd advise booking a ground floor apartment. Edinburgh in general, never caught up with installing lifts in its buildings. The apartment is at the end of the row and South facing, so gets lots of light throughout the day. The apartment has cupboard space for your luggage and places to hang clothes/store shoes etc. There is also an ironing board/iron. The bathroom has a shower, shampoo/conditioner/shower gel/toothpaste. There is always plenty of towels for you to have. The hairdryer is kept in the cupboard under the sink. I don't own a TV.... but there is free wifi throughout the apartment. I've a big collection of fiction/history/cookery/poetry/art/photography books to while away the time with. I also have a music/radio player with an eclectic choice of C.Ds. Plus cards and board games. A large kitchen space with character and all the modern cons - toaster, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, oven, kettle, induction hob etc. There is no microwave. There is a washing machine and there is washing liquid capsules for it under the sink, just put one of these inside the washing machine drum and close the door and turn to what ever setting you want. I do not have a dryer (it's not that typical here in Scotland/Europe) what I do have is a clothes horse which you can hang your clothes on. It's kept folded up in the hall cupboard. I hate staying in apartments on holiday where there aren't even any basics to cook with like salt and olive oil, so the kitchen is stocked with all the usual larder fare to help yourself to if you're cooking in. Plus coffee and all sorts of teas. There is a dinning table and chairs. The bedroom is tucked off the hall and has reading lights and a comfortable British king size mattress width 150cm X length 200cm, with white cotton sheets, pillows and duvet. The living room area of the apartment is at the front with lots of light and a good view of the Old College dome. A good size sofa, armchairs, reading lights and is perfect to come back to after a day in town. I hope to hear from you.     The National Museum of Scotland is merely yards away from the apartment, and The Royal Mile and Castle are just a few minutes walk away. Live Scottish folk music can be found at the local pub as well as one of the best city coffee shops Brew Lab on the street.

With a wood fired hot tub, fire pit, and deck with beautiful views of the pond and surrounding trees, it's a perfect spot to relax, unwind and get back to nature. The site is completely off grid - water in containers, solar power, and composting toilet. We believe this makes the site special, offering a unique back-to-basics experience.
    Our ethos is to provide a simple but comfortable, tranquil space to 'unplug' from the modern world, with a minimal impact on the surrounding nature so that it can be enjoyed. Please read our description fully before booking to ensure that our dome and site is perfect for you. Satori dome is located on a working farm alongside a large pond. Spend your time watching wild ducks and swans through the panoramic bay window, or explore North Northumeberland before heading back to your site for a soak in the outdoor Japanese soaking tub, whilst star gazing from the deck. Our dome is set up for 2 people with a double bed and Eve© memory foam mattress (bedding is provided.) LED battery fairy lights and lanterns provide mood lighting inside and outside the dome at night, and logs are provided for the wood burning stove and fire to keep you cosy when it is cold outside. Outside on the deck is a gas BBQ for cooking and inside there is a worktop and sink set up for prepping simple meals and washing up dishes (plates, cutlery and utensils provided.) A camp stove and kettle is also provided if you wish to boil water for teas and coffee. A leisure battery powers a small 24 Litre electric cool box to keep food items cool. The battery also has a USB port to charge your devices. Our simple off-grid sink is setup with a 25 litre container of fresh spring water and hand pump tap for washing up. Your outdoor hot tub will be filled with fresh spring water for your arrival. It can be used 2-3 times and takes 2-4 hours to heat up (depending on the weather/season), and will usually stay warm overnight. Please note that in keeping with our ethos of having a low impact on the surrounding nature, soaps are NOT allowed to be used in the tub because of the harm they could cause to the aquatic life of the pond when the tub is drained. We do not (yet) have a shower at the dome, for most people this is not a problem as the hot tub water is clean and does not contain any chemicals, and makes you feel fresh afterwards. The Eco friendly composting toilet is set back from the dome. Whilst it is basic, please be assured that it is both clean and civilised :)
    The site is rural (no postcode and the closest neighbours are sheep), but is not far from a main road with easy access to the market towns Wooler (10 mins), Alnwick (20 mins) and Berwick-upon-Tweed (30 mins), as well as the stunning coast (40 mins). There are plenty of local pubs and shops within an approximate 10 minute drive. The location is great for those seeking to explore Chillingham Castle, The Cheviot hills, Ingram Valley, Bamburgh Beach and many other spectacular locations.

  • Tuvimos una estancia encantadora durante un fin de semana de invierno. A pesar del clima frío y ventoso, disfrutamos de la bañera de hidromasaje y las vistas al estanque. La estufa de leña la hacía muy acogedora dentro del domo. La cúpula es muy fácil de encontrar con la guía de Liz y Hugh, y hay mucho que hacer en el área local. La cúpula en sí tenía todo lo que necesitábamos y estaba limpia y cómoda. ¡Nos encantaría volver a visitarlo en verano para disfrutar de la barbacoa y la fogata!

    This cosy luxurious self contained oak frame cabin offers the perfect peaceful setting for a relaxing getaway. Listen out and you may hear the owls at night. Backing onto the National Trust Ashridge Forest, this is perfect for outdoor lovers but equally suitable for a romantic night in. 1.5 miles down the road, the popular market town of Berkhamsted is offering atmospheric pubs and bars for a special treat out. The cabin offers comfortable, spacious living with King size bed.
    Although the cabin is within the grounds of the main property, it is completely separated off by thick hedge rows to offer complete privacy to our guests. A path alongside the house leads the guests to their own entrance of the cabin. This cabin features all you need for a comfortable stay- a small bathroom with shower facility, a spacious open plan living room, an open plan kitchen with a hob and convection microwave oven grill and a comfortable King Size bed on the Mezzanine level, accessed by a ladder. It is furnished with cosy lighting, two comfortable sofas and a dining table. The cabin features a TV as well as a large DVD selection and Hi-Fi system. Kitchen: We also provide utensils so that our guests can choose to stay in and prepare their own meal if they wish. The back gate allows you to walk straight into the woods to explore 5000 acres of deer filled forest and its other wildlife. A 20 minute walk away you may wish to refresh yourself in the upmarket and cosy pub, the Alford Arms, in the idyllic Frithsden Valley where they even have their own vineyard. The cabin is only 1.5 miles away from the popular and trendy town centre of Berkhamsted, featuring a range of lively pubs and restaurants.
    Our cosy little wood cabin is backing straight onto the woods, located in a quiet setting of the sleepy village Potten End, just minutes away from popular old market town Berkhamsted. You can literally walk out of the back gate into the woods and explore the nature. Here are a few tips and activities in the area: Ashridge Estate - a 5,000 acre area of the Chiltern Hills with beech and oak woodlands, commons and chalk downlands. These very different landscapes each support a rich variety of wildlife, including carpets of bluebells in spring, rare butterflies in summer and the fallow deer that rut in autumn. You can walk out of the back gate of the property into the woods and explore Miles of footpaths and bridleways. Frithsden Vineyard – Literally a 30 minute walk through the woods, and you will get to this beautiful boutique English vineyard and winery set in the foothills of the Chilterns. Besides a range of regular seasonal events you can also pass by and enjoy some of their home produced wines. Berkhamsted Town centre and Castle – have a stroll through Berkhamsted highstreet and explore Berkhamsted Castle's remains. The town has a special place in our history: following the Saxon defeat at the Battle of Hastings, it was at Berkhamsted that the bishops and noblemen formally offered William the Conqueror the crown. The Rex – "possibly Britain's most beautiful cinema" (BBC), the Rex has one huge screen set in a glorious 1938 art-deco proscenium arch, with "the sharpest film projection and clearest non-booming sound anywhere in the world". The whole experience is delightfully civilized: sink into large, comfortable seats then sit back with cheese and wine to enjoy the film. Berkhamsted Waterways Walk – Go for a walk along the River Bulbourne andGrand Union Canal which run through the town and enjoy a cold drink in the popular Boat pub. Tring Natural History Museum – 5 miles from Berkhamsted. The wonderful galleries of this beautiful Victorian museum present a fascinating range of animals, from tiny dressed fleas to a smiling polar bear and domestic dogs. The Snow Centre – 5 miles from Berkhamsted. Britain's newest snow centre at Hemel Hempstead is currently the coolest place to go to enjoy skiing, snowboarding and other snow sports on indoor slopes of real snow. The main slope is 160m long and 30m wide, serviced by two POMA button lifts. The trainer slope is 100m long, with two rope tows. There are lessons for everyone new to snow, and clothing and equipment is on hand to hire. Whipsnade Zoo – 9 miles from Berkhamsted. Set on the slopes of the Chiltern Hills, the UK's biggest zoo is home to more than 2,500 animals, many of which are endangered in the wild. Whipsnade is noted for creating interactive and inspiring exhibits and popular daily events including keeper talks, animal feeds and demonstrations. You can drive through the 'Passage through Asia' or take the free Safari bus which stops at all the main exhibits in the 600 acre site. Harry Potter, Warner Bros. Studio Tour – the Making of Harry Potter – 9.7 miles from Berkhamsted.   • Nos encantó nuestra estancia en casa de Lilli y Dan. Es un espacio realmente hermoso y único. La cabaña es privada y se siente aislada, a pesar de no estar lejos de la casa de los anfitriones. Está perfectamente ubicado para dar largos paseos por Ashridge Estate, o un corto paseo hasta el galardonado Alford Arms. Se lo recomendaríamos a cualquiera y esperamos volver a nosotros también.

  • Tuvimos la mejor experiencia en la cabaña. La cabaña era exactamente como en la imagen (¡si no mejor!) Y pasamos un tiempo muy relajante, siguiendo las recomendaciones de Lili 'y Dan sobre lugares para comer y caminar. Nos gustó especialmente el restaurante "Alfred's Arms" y la caminata fue increíble (colores de otoño, naturaleza hermosa, venados, etc.). También tuvimos la oportunidad de hablar brevemente con Lilli y Dan y son muy amables y serviciales. Olvidé mi cargador de iPhone y en lugar de comprar otro, pero Lilli y Dan nos dejaron prestado su cargador hasta que terminamos nuestra estadía. No puedo recomendarlos como anfitriones y su cabaña lo suficiente!

Large hot tub available to use at an additional cost of £20 per day for your own use..... please let us know prior to arrival if you would like the tub, as we have to balance chemicals and get it up to temperature ready for you. Full kitchen with everything you could possibly need... pots, pans, steamer, slow cooker etc,sky TV, log burner and central heating. We have beautiful views, some lovely walks and a haven of wildlife on our doorstep.
    Hot tub can be booked for your sole use (£20 per night).... payable on arrival please. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate guests in the hot tub that have any kind of fake tan applied, it turns the water orange!!!!! Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause but we need to keep our facilities clean for other guests. Please be aware that we are in a valley and internet can be hit and miss, if you are looking to be on line for a lot of the time.... this may not the place for you. Mobile signal is really a no go, we are happy for you to use our land line to make any calls. As we are in the country, as hard as we try, you may spot the odd cobweb in the beams and a little dust.... all part of the character and country experience:-)

    This small stone cottage, that was once a home for pigeons, is self-contained. It is historically fascinating and architecturally intriguing with stone doorways, beautiful old wood beams and wooden steps. Within an extensive mature walled garden, a stone path leads under a rose-arch to the quaint 1600s cottage. A glass front door opens into an enchanting calm atmosphere. Beneath part of the floor, under sturdy glass, an ancient vaulted cavern can be glimpsed below. Above, in the tower, is a tiny loft bedroom with a double bed, Egyptian cotton sheets, and a window overlooking the private garden. Illuminated ancient nesting boxes line the walls. It is quiet. Next, on the ground floor, is a bright sitting/ dining room with original stone walls, a high ceiling and skylights. Beneath a small mezzanine is the neat bespoke L-shaped kitchen, rustic-style, with a fridge, 2-ring gas hob, microwave and convection oven, kettle and toaster. Counter-tops and the table are made from slabs of a cedar tree that once grew in the garden. The building is 2.4m wide. The wood-burning stove is opposite a pull-out sofa-bed (115cms wide mattress), and the whole ground floor has underfloor heating as well as gas central heating. The wood-lined bathroom, with a luxuriously large wet-room style shower, has a skylight with views of apple tree branches. A chunk of cedar wood, with the bark retained, contains the basin. Skilfully designed, this is a captivating little treasure. It is an extraordinary and rare delight that will enchant guests.
    Secluded, yet within 5 minutes walk of the upmarket, lively, fashionable districts of Bruntsfield and Morningside where there are plenty of cool cafes and good restaurants plus supermarkets and specialist shops. 20mins easy walk to city centre or by frequent nearby buses. One parking space for an ordinary sized car. Long or high vehicles will not fit because there is a very sharp left turn at the entrance and overhanging branches.

    The Shippon on the edge of Bodmin Moor is a fantastic converted barn which offers quite excellent and accessible accommodation for 2 people with private hot tub. You can enjoy views of the rolling countryside from the patio and at night Bodmin Moor has been designated an International Dark Sky Landscape so the sky is clear of artificial light and and amazing sight.
    The Shippon at Lestitha Farm has undergone a complete refurbishment over the winter of 2014 / 2015 into a luxurious one bedroom holiday home. All on one level, the Shippon will be easily accessible for all and is designed to take in the extensive views over the rolling countryside. This is a brilliant place to stay for couples looking to escape to a peaceful rural location with beautiful views, yet within easy reach of many places to see. Lestitha Farm is located on the edge of Bodmin Moor, conveniently just 5 minutes drive off the main A38 dual carriageway at Liskeard. The south Cornish coast town of Looe is just 20 minutes away with nearby beaches. There are also extensive water sports at Siblyback Reservoir just 10 minutes away. The walking around Bodmin Moor is just superb and dogs will be in heaven! Wheel Barn is located next door and can accommodate 4 guests. This can be booked at the same time. The Owners are very welcoming and will provide lifts to the local pubs for evening meals upon request. Accommodation Ground Floor: Entrance to the sitting room with the Master bedroom leading off. The bedroom has a 5' double bed. The sitting room has a flat screen TV, wood burner and glorious views over the rolling countryside. There is an en-suite bathroom with separate shower cubicle. Exterior: Garden with external furniture and a private hot tub. There is also a 2.5 acre enclosed paddock on the farm for exercising dogs. Facilities & Services Heating is via central Biomass heating and the wood burning stove with ALL logs provided. The kitchen has a range of equipment. There is an electric oven & hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge with ice box and dishwasher. A washer/dryer is available on request from the owner. The sitting room area has a flat screen, digital TV & DVD player. There is a private hot tub on the patio. WiFi is available at the property. There is an iron & ironing board available, on request from the owner. The property benefits from extra wide internal doors (2'9"). Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, logs for the wood burning stove, bed linen and towels are all included, but you will need to provide your own beach towels. Up to 2 well behaved dogs will be permitted at the small additional cost of £25 per dog / per week, but please remember that dogs cannot be left unattended at the property alone.     The highest village in Cornwall is Minions which is a mere 4 miles from Lestitha Farm on the south east corner of Bodmin Moor, and has a wealth of ancient archeological sites dating from the early bronze age onwards and they are really popular with walkers and hikers, these include the Hurlers, three stone circles dated at around 1500 BC, a line through the centre of them brings you to Rillaton Barrow a large burial mound. Alternatively on the top of Stowes Hill, overlooking Minions, you can see the Cheesering, a natural formation of balancing stones formed during the last ice age and by thousands of years of erosion, the name derives from the shape of the stones and will become patently obvious on viewing! The ancient stannary town of Liskeard is at the head of the Looe Valley and is approximately 12 miles east of Bodmin. Liskeard is one of the few remaining towns in Cornwall to still have a livestock market. It serves a number of small surrounding villages and is the gateway to Bodmin Moor. Liskeard is also the starting point of the Liskeard to Looe railway, one of the most scenic railway trips in the country and a delightful day out! Bodmin Moor, bisected by the newly expanded A 30 is home to one of Cornwall's Areas of Oustanding Natural Beauty. Reaching a height of 1,377 feet above sea level at Brown Willy, Cornwall's highest point. The heather covered granite moorland provides East Cornwall with the most stunning country views and rugged walks. Near Blisland you will find two of Cornwall's stone circles, the Trippet Stones and Stripple Stone Henge and just round the corner, one end of the famous Camel Trail. The 18 mile Camel Trail follows the route of the old railway along traffic free paths, providing a fairly flat cycle through Bodmin and Wadebridge out to Padstow, eminently suitable for families. The National Lobster Hatchery at Padstow neighbours Rick Steins empire on the North Coast. The Bodmin and Wenford Railway, the first steam operated railway in Cornwall, takes in 13 miles of countryside. Also just outside Bodmin is the Camel Valley Vineyard who have been winning awards for their home grown wine for the past 20 years. The National Trust have a number of properties nearby - Lanhydrock House, Trerice, Cotehele and Antony (used for Disney's Alice in Wonderland), Carnewas and Bedruthan Steps. Slightly further afield is the Eden Project in St Austell. Bodmin Jail built in 1778, notorious for its public executions by hanging, was the first jail to be built housing inmates in individual cells. The Jail closed in 1927 and is now a museum open to the public, which during the First World War housed the Crown Jewels and the Doomsday Book. To the east is the Tamar Valley, a stunning, quiet, picturesque region with some beautiful villages including Calstock with its impressive Viaduct dominating the village, Calstock Quay was originally used for transportation of tin as there is a deep water navigable channel at the top of the tides, although the construction of the Tamar Valley Railway in the early 20th century led to most cargo being transported by rail. Further up stream is Morwellham Quay with its fantastic open air museum, Morwellham Quay has been awarded World Heritage Site status by UNESCO, the cultural arm of the UN, and is part of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape. Originally set up by the Benedictine Monks from Tavistock Abbey in 961 as a trading route to Plymouth via the Tamar. Tavistock is an ancient stannary and market town on the edge of Dartmoor and just across the border in Devon, it has a wealth of fine pubs, restaurants, supermarkets and tourist attractions.

    Chapel Cottage is a semi-detached cottage, located just off Bourton’s High Street. The front door is accessed via the cottage’s front garden, and opens directly into the living room, with the following rooms on the ground floor: Living/dining room: This characterful room has exposed oak beams, stone mullion windows, and a large Cotswold stone inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove. There is a three seater and a two seater leather sofa plus a leather pouff, as well as a pretty window seat.Other facilities include a Smart TV with Netflix access, and a DAB radio with an iPod docking station. The dining area has a lovely flagstone floor, and contains an antique wooden dining table with four chairs and a window seat, which overlooks the front garden; Kitchen: A doorway leads through to the country-style kitchen, which overlooks the garden. This well presented room has an electric oven, four ring gas hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a stable door out from the kitchen to the courtyard garden at the back of the cottage. A steep, winding staircase leads up from the living room to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Bedroom 1: A lovely room with whitewashed stone walls and oak beams, which contains a double bed, a chest of drawers with a mirror, and hooks to provide hanging space; Bedroom 2: Another stylish room, which contains a king size bed, and hooks to provide hanging space; Family bathroom: Contains a bath with overhead shower, toilet and wash basin. Further steep, winding stairs lead up to the second floor room: Snug/bedroom 3: This room is a perfect hideaway in the lovely eaves of the cottage, complete with Freeview TV and DVD player, plus a selection of DVDs, books and games. The room contains a day bed, which can be made up into a single bed. At the front of the cottage is a pretty, gravelled garden, with a stylish wrought iron table and chairs, which is ideal for making the most of the morning sun. The stable door from the kitchen opens out into the private courtyard garden at the rear of the cottage, which also has an outdoor table and chairs, and captures the late afternoon sun. The back garden has a useful outbuilding, which contains a washing machine and a tumble dryer. There is a 30-minute parking zone directly opposite the cottage, which is ideal for loading and unloading luggage, and two Pay & Display car parks are located a short walk away from the cottage.
    Bourton-on-the-Water is arguably one of the most popular villages of the Cotswolds, especially amongst overseas visitors. Having been nicknamed the "Venice of the Cotswolds", its scenery is the main draw for travellers. The River Windrush meanders through beautiful English countryside before passing over rapids next to the Old Mill and arriving at Bourton. The river is fed from many springs, with the source approximately ten miles from the village and, after flowing under the bridges of Bourton, it passes other villages before eventually joining the Thames. There are various attractions in the village, including the famous Birdland, which is home to a variety of birds from around the world. Here visitors can see parrots, pelicans, flamingos and penguins to name just a few, with experienced keepers feeding the birds and leading demonstrations. The Model Village is well worth a visit, as Bourton is the only village in the Cotswolds to have a one-ninth scale replica of itself. It is carefully maintained and has all of the characterful buildings including the Old Water Mill and the Old New Inn. Those lucky enough to witness snow in the winter months will notice photographers at the model village trying to get the perfect picture of the snowy scene. Another family favourite is the Dragonfly Maze. This yew maze leads visitors through the labyrinth, gathering clues in order to find the pavilion in the centre which enables them to unlock the final secret! The maze was constructed by Kit Williams, author of the golden hare treasure hunt book, "Masquerade". Food & Drink Bourton has a variety of places to eat and drink, including cafes, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants, with a range of prices to suit all budgets.     Beautiful Woodland hobbit/fairy/witch house Nestled away in our woodland is our new roundhouse. Built from natural materials, nearly all from the woodland around it and super insulated with gas hob, wood burner and running water. Come hideaway, hibernate, nestle and nuzzle.. tend fires, read, swim in our lake, pick salad and eggs from the farm... This cabin offers the perfect place to step into a different pace, to be at one with nature, to slow down and think about what matters in the world.
    The roundhouse is part of our permaculture farm and campsite and is nestled away in 40 acres woodland. It has a compost toilet nearby and there is a hot shower and regular toilet available at the farm. For sleeping it has a double bed, a double sofa bed and big single bed. We will provide all bedding (but not towels). For cooking it has a double ring gas burner (and BBQ/Firepit outside), running water and a sink as well as most of the pots/pans/plates/mugs etc you could need. Its also got 12v lighting and a socket to plug in your phone (but its is truly off-grid and has no mains electricity). It is worth saying that the Roundhouse is in the woods and is about 300m from your car through the field and woods. We do allow dogs, we don't really encourage them but we do recognise that they are often part of your family. Any dogs brought with you must be well controlled at all times, cleaned up after and we also ask that you leave a £10 donation for the cleaner.
    We are in a beautiful corner of the world, we are only 10 miles from M'nt Snowdon and only a mile to the beach, on the corner of the stunning Llynn Peninsula.

    I aim to create a simple space, relaxing, comfortable and clean. Dean Village is central but, very safe/quiet part of town. Guests are sure to have a peaceful nights sleep.
    This neighbourhood is much loved and cared for by it's residents. Dean village and the new town are beautiful parts of Edinburgh. There is lots to be explored in the surrounding area, including the National Gallery and the stunning Botanical Gardens. Cafe's, Bars and Bistro's are a short walk along the riverside.

  • Bueno, después de ver que había varios pies de nieve cayendo en mi camino hacia Gales, Stuart fue increíble y muy amablemente sugirió que me detuviera en un lugar cercano y esperara a que él y mi compañero me recojan en su 4x4. Luego, Stuart nos recibió en su lugar privado cerca de las cabañas y nos habló sobre su vida y el área local, ¡mientras tuvo la amabilidad de compartir una cerveza y una taza de té con nosotros! Stuart luego se ofreció a reservarnos una mesa en un restaurante local junto al lago y nos ofreció un ascensor desde y hacia el clima.   • Si vienes para un descanso relajante / desestresado / fin de semana o como un regalo, entonces este lugar es ideal, ¡un gran hallazgo y vale la pena! ¡Los hermosos y tranquilos alrededores, la sauna, la bañera de hidromasaje al aire libre (nota: es una bañera, pero el agua está lo suficientemente caliente como para estar cerca de una bañera de hidromasaje) combinada con contemplar las estrellas en una noche clara fueron geniales! Nota: digo que valió la pena el dinero, ya que pude hacer uso de la sauna y el jacuzzi, es decir, aprovechar al máximo lo que esta estancia tiene para ofrecer. Si viene solo para pasar la noche y no puede usar las comodidades mencionadas, es posible que no lo encuentre como una buena relación calidad-precio. Me quedé en la cabaña más lejos. Y era una pequeña y bonita habitación suficientemente amueblada. Tenía un televisor pequeño con un reproductor de VCR y muchas películas de VCR, ¡prepárate para la nostalgia! Y hay una cocina al lado, que estaba bastante bien equipada con una placa de gas, algunas ollas y sartenes, una nevera, cubiertos, vajilla, microondas, tostadora, lata de agua potable e incluso algunas cosas básicas como el aceite. Tenga en cuenta que esto es en parte, una experiencia al aire libre (un poco como glamping). Si viene esperando una estadía similar a un hotel, se sorprenderá desagradablemente. Pero si viene esperando una experiencia al aire libre, se sorprenderá gratamente, ya que fue bastante bueno / mejor de lo que esperaba para una experiencia al aire libre.     Detached studio with majestic, cliff top views over Lochbay and Waternish to the village of Stein & across the sea to the Outer Hebrides. We have the most amazing sunsets! Open plan, cosy, yet light and airy; a peaceful haven in which to relax. We've tried to create self catering, that is a tad out of the ordinary, with funky textiles & quirky local touches. Modern facilities, huge drench shower, dishwasher, log burner, free wi-fi. Huge Overwater House, next door, for a couple, also available.
    The larch clad studio was designed by us to make the most of fabulous views. The living space is dominated by the huge window, right next to this is the comfy couch. The ceiling is high to create a light and airy feel to the compact, open plan studio. The oak floor helps to give the space a feeling of warmth and luxury. Opposite the couch, in the corner, is the log burning stove and on the same wall the tv. The kitchen is well equipped with a vintage oak table at which to eat. Everything in the studio has been made or chosen with love & care. We've consciously tried to avoid the neutral, high street look. The bed is king-sized with Egyptian cotton bedding. Included in the price is free WiFi. There is a small decking area on the sea side for guests to sit out on. The garden is enclosed. There is a privacy fence to shield the studio from the house next door. Logs are also provided for the stove and all electricity is included. The bathroom has a huge, walk in, drench shower. We’re not fans of fabric conditioners or tumble dryers so although the towels are Egyptian Cotton, they’re not the softest.
    Waternish, in the north of the island, is one of the most beautiful parts of the Isle of Skye. It has magnificent views across the Minch to the Outer Hebrides. Blue Moon studio has undoubtedly one of the finest views on Waternish. Sit by the huge window & enjoy the constantly changing light on the water. There are wonderful boat trips from the local jetty. We're close to Stein with the oldest pub on Skye & Michael Smith's, 'Lochbay Restaurant'. Skye is 'foodie' heaven!

  • Blue Moon Studio es como estar en un pequeño pedazo de cielo. Cuando llegamos, nos recibieron con una bonita nota escrita a mano, vino y galletas de mantequilla con pan corto. Está ubicado sobre una península al lado de una propiedad con hermosas ovejas montañosas salpicadas por toda la tierra. La pared a lo largo de la cocina y la sala de estar combinadas es una gran ventana con vista al agua. Hay una estufa de leña con mucha madera que es acogedora y reconfortante. Todo el estudio está lleno de arte local, cerámica, mantas, almohadas y demás. La cocina está equipada con todo lo necesario para preparar comidas. De hecho, solo cenamos una vez en los cuatro días que estuvimos allí. La cama es de ensueño, nos hubiera encantado quedarnos en esa cama todo el día ... pero hay tantas cosas hermosas que ver y hacer en los alrededores, ¡nos levantamos! Robby y yo nos quedamos en Airbnb's cada vez que viajamos y tenemos que decir que este lugar es uno de los mejores lugares que hemos experimentado. Ya estamos planeando nuestra próxima visita.     Please read FULLY before booking :) The cabin is totally secluded and set in a lovely private garden over looking the stunning bay of Portholland. The cabin is the perfect cosy place for a retreat/ meditation break/ or romantic get away. Drift off to sleep to the sound of the waves below. It offers the perfect blend of getting away from it all & life’s hectic schedule yet still being able to reach the outside world if you wish. The decking area is perfect for some al fresco dining whilst enjoying the spectacular views of the sea and village. It's also a fabulous platform for star gazing. Take out your hot chocolate and be amazed at the shooting stars on a clear night! Portholland also has a lovely tidal beach which is safe for swimming and canoeing. If you're feeling adventurous there is a 1 man canoe available on request which you can use to explore the secret hidden coves which can be found on either side of Portholland. Spacious double bed. Linen and bath towels included. Hot shower and flush toilet. Unfortunately our toilet system can’t handle toilet paper/ sanitary products - a bin is provided for these. If you want to hole up for a few days, make sure you bring enough provisions etc as the nearest shop/s are a 15 min drive away in Tregony and Veryan. WIFI. Signal is very good, possible to stream Netflix etc with no problems. Only 1 double bed, but space for a travel cot for young child or blow up mattress ( for a child) During Autumn the footpaths get very muddy so I recommend boots. Please note there is no oven, just a small gas stove (2) microwave, slow cooker, toaster, sandwich toaster. Not suitable for dogs Sea kayaks available to use on request during the summer months, May - September Please note - Think European when it comes to our toilet! Toilet paper & sanitary products must go in the bin provided. We have a very basic toilet system which blocks easily. A bin with special bags are supplied. The television is for the DVD player, no satellite dish. But WiFi works well for streaming on your devices. :) Cold water only from the kitchen tap Hot shower :) Please .... please don’t message me asking if you can bring your dog! For a small fee I can supply your favourite bottle of wine / flowers / chocolates on special occasions. The Lugger Hotel over looking the sea, also in Portloe for fine dining or afternoon cream teas throughout the year. Lots of lovely restaurants in Truro, lovely city ( large town) cobbled streets etc. The Quarterdeck restaurant at the Nare Hotel overlooking the sea at Carne beach is gorgeous, great views, outdoor pool and fabulous food. St Mawes lovely small coastal village with a foot ferry that runs every hour over to Falmouth. Ferry lands in centre of Falmouth. Eden project, Lost Gardens of Heligan close by. ( Eden is approx half hour) Heligan 20 mins The King Harry car ferry near Philliegh goes over the river Fal ( very pretty) to Feok and the stunning Trelisick gardens.

    Welcome! UPDATE: Cleanliness and hygiene has always been a priority for all of our guests but in light of the current coronavirus situation, I’ve taken the extra precautions to deep clean between each booking. This means an extra hour to ensure every inch of the cabin is disinfected and sterile for your safety. Therefore check in is now from 3pm. I’d also like to reassure guests that at the cabin you are isolated from other people and can self-check in so that you don’t meet the host if you prefer. There is also a Weber bbq, log burning Chiminea and seating on the outdoor deck area overlooking a stunning view of the valley. There are wild pheasants, partridges, hares, rabbits, squirrels, badgers, hedgehogs, wood pigeons, kestrels, Kites, Sparrow Hawks and owls who live and forage in the woods and surrounding areas. We also have our own flock of chickens and ducks who may join you for some breakfast entertainment;) During the Spring we hatch and raise new ducklings and chicks to keep things fun, guests are most welcome to meet them when they hatch. We also have sheep and our own horses in adjacent fields . Feel free to give them a pat but please DO NOT feed the horses as they are on a special diet. Also we ask guests not to enter the field with the horses. They are large animals so youngsters should be supervised by an adult at all times.
    Located in a tiny and beautiful rural hamlet high in the Saddleworth hills. We are perfectly situated on the Pennine bridleway for cyclists, walkers and horse riders - a very popular choice for those travelling this amazing route. There are two delightful local pubs only 10- 15 mins walk away, serving great pub grub and local ales. Comfortable seating, roaring fires and beer gardens. Proper Yorkshire hospitality! Its about a 25 min walk to Uppermill ( the largest village in Saddleworth). A lively village with lots of boutiques, gift shops, cafes, wine bars, pubs, restaurants and a great tourist information centre at the Saddleworth museum. To Diggle, it’s a 15-20 min walk down the hill to the village. Great ice-cream at Grandpa Greenes and lovely canal walks to Uppermill. There is a Tesco supermarket 10 mins drive away in Greenfield.

    In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole and that means comfort.
    Thank you so much to everyone that has stayed and left such lovely reviews. Yes it's a small space but everyone seems to have enjoyed staying. We've certainly enjoyed it ourselves a couple of times (well we had to test it didn't we!) Nowhere else can you stay with a view like this from your comfortable bed! We are only 15 minutes from Hay on Wye and the perfect place to stay during the Hay festival. The Hobbit House has a wood-fired cooker so that you can cook your own meals and there is running water just outside. A large sofabed folds out to a full-sized double bed with a deep comfortable mattress. All bedding etc provided. Dinner and breakfast can be provided at extra cost - how about a nice hearty stew in a slow-cooker ready for you to arrive, with fresh bread warming in the Hobbit House's wood-fired oven? We have a number of great walks starting from the doorstep and a rural pub over the road. (please note that the pub is generally only open at weekends) PLEASE NOTE: 95% of people have loved staying here, but it isn't to everyone's tastes. it IS small. it does have a sofa bed rather than a proper bed. The bathroom is down in our house and although it is for your exclusive use, it is a 30 second walk away. This is glamping, not luxury. But if that suits you then you'll have an amazing time.

  • Reservé la casa hobbit como un regalo para mi amiga por su cumpleaños, ya que está obsesionada con las películas y va a ver la verdadera. Tuvimos un pequeño problema con la puerta principal cuando llegamos por primera vez como un poco rígidos, pero una vez que logré agarrar estaño, ¡fue absolutamente perfecto! No podría haber deseado más, el pub al otro lado de la carretera es muy amable y tiene comida decente. Muchos paseos geniales para hacer (solo traiga buenas botas para caminar, ya que no planeamos bien esa parte). No pudimos conocer a Tin y Rosie, pero nos ayudaron mucho cuando nos comunicamos. ¡Bear fue encantador y es el más dulce! Definitivamente lo recomendaría!

  • La casa hobbit de Tin y Rosie fue un día inolvidable. Debido a problemas mecánicos, tuvimos que tomar el tren en lugar de conducir, pero los servicios de taxi convenientes lo hicieron sin dolor. Pasamos el tiempo más espléndido viviendo como hobbits y osos, el perro, rápidamente se convirtió en un amigo para las vacaciones. Nunca hemos conocido a un perro con tanta energía, pero de una manera tímida y las mascotas y juegos de la mañana, las once, la tarde y la noche deben ser esperados y bienvenidos. A pesar del clima fangoso (gracias a enero por eso) la casa hobbit estaba impecable y encantadora al llegar, aunque gracias a nuestras propias botas fangosas no permaneció así por mucho tiempo. La casa hobbit es lo que es: pequeña, acogedora, y te hace querer renunciar a todo y vivir como hobbits para siempre. Un hogar increíble lejos de casa y realmente esperamos poder regresar pronto.

  • Tuvimos una estancia encantadora en el Hobbit Home. Nos recibió el encantador oso (ya que Tin y su familia estaban fuera la noche que estuvimos), esto no fue un problema ya que la comunicación durante nuestra estancia fue rápida si tuvimos algún problema. Fue fácil cocinar en la estufa de fuego y con las mantas proporcionadas, fuimos encantadores y acogedores durante la noche. El WiFi fue rápido. El único problema fue que los vasos y platos estaban sucios ... los llevamos a la casa para lavarlos. En general, fue una estancia encantadora y felizmente volvería a visitar durante el verano.

    We are a stunningly renovated terraced cottage, from the moment you step through the door your relaxing break will begin. The contemporary open plan living area with comfy sofas and wood burner, dining and kitchen areas, to the cosy bedroom with plump pillows and contemporary en-suite bathroom. In the garden there is also private Hot Tub underneath a pergola.
    Key to the Esk is open plan living. The finish is to a high standard and the cottage flows very well. Out side there is a pergola containing a Hot Tub and large patio arear for alfresco dining. Hot tub features 80 jets and Bluetooth speakers. Every need has been catered for and guests will feel truly at home at Key to the Esk.
    The River Esk runs at the back of the property, fantastic walks can be had along the river and surrounding countryside. This is an ideal honeymoon destination as the world-famous Blacksmiths Shop and Scottish wedding venue at Gretna Green is only 3 miles away with fantastic shopping at the Gretna retail outlet. Key to the Esk is situated in lovely countryside nestled between the Lake District and Northumberland National Parks, and is also only a few miles from the Solway Coast in Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders and Hadrian’s Wall.   • ¡Nos alojamos la semana pasada en esta encantadora casa que incluía un jacuzzi fabuloso! La casa era hermosa y de muy alto nivel. Muy cerca del centro de la ciudad y de otras atracciones turísticas, pero situado en una zona muy tranquila y pintoresca con el río Esk corriendo en la parte trasera de la propiedad. Estancia muy relajante y los anfitriones siempre estamos disponibles para responder cualquier pregunta. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente!

    You’ll love my place because of the view from your bed of the night sky and the view from your windows of fields and wildlife, especially birds. My place is good for couples for a romantic, relaxing getaway and solo adventurers who need time to relax and unwind in a unique space.
    The quiet and the friendliness of the locals makes this location special.
    Snowdonia and all the local attractions are within easy reach but it's nice to come back to a location out of the touristy area.

  • Esta cabaña está muy bien decorada y limpia. Nia (anfitrión) es super amable y nos ofreció todo lo que necesitábamos. Está en una hermosa y tranquila ubicación, ¡ideal para un descanso relajante! Realmente nos gustó el pub The Old Stag, no muy lejos de la casa, así que definitivamente vale la pena comer allí si tienes tiempo.   • Absolutamente hermosa mini casa! Mi compañero y yo nos alojamos por 2 noches y nos hubiéramos quedado más tiempo! Bañera de hidromasaje está en una ubicación perfecta con vistas a los campos rodeados de flores. Un montón de comodidades para cocinar su propia comida y bollos a la llegada eran deliciosos! Excelente ubicación con mucho que hacer dentro de los 45 minutos! Gran vista de las estrellas desde la cama en nuestra segunda noche, usando mi aplicación para ver los consuelos.

  • ¡Dónde empezar! ¡Guauu! Absolutamente increíble servicio de principio a fin! En realidad no quiero decir servicio porque realmente me sentí como en casa. ¡Nia nos dejó algunos bollos frescos y hermosos para cuando llegamos y hay todo y más que puedes necesitar en la casita! No solo pudimos ver a Júpiter tan claro como el día desde nuestra bañera de hidromasaje, sino que también pudimos ver las estrellas desde nuestra cama. ¡Los corderos y terneros hicieron que esta experiencia fuera muy especial para nosotros y Nia incluso me dio la oportunidad de alimentar a los terneros y corderos a la hora del té! Una experiencia como ninguna otra en sí misma! En general, Nia es una anfitriona increíble, con la casa más hermosa en la que trabaja tan duro para mantenerse fantástica. ¡Puedes ver que ella hace todo lo posible para mantener toda su tierra pintoresca! Lo único que comentaré, que no está relacionado de ninguna manera con Nia, es el hecho de que la tienda local cierra a las 6 pm y la tienda más cercana está a unos 25 minutos. Así que definitivamente compra algo de comida en un supermercado mientras te preparas tu propia comida. Dicho esto, si tiene alguna pregunta o pregunta sobre dónde hay algo, Nia es muy informativa y le da recomendaciones fantásticas para los lugares a donde ir. Cuando esté aquí, definitivamente visite Mount Snowdon y tome el tren de montaña si no es un caminante regular, ya que la cima de Snowdon es impresionante (literalmente).   • Un lugar muy rústico y tranquilo. Si lo tuyo es hacer fuego interior y exterior y bañarte afuera, estarás en el cielo. Se sentía como si estuviéramos en medio de los bosques y lejos de la civilización. El pequeño río se está calmando y estar al aire libre y cocinar en la fogata fuera fue muy divertido, también los anfitriones son excelentes y le ofrecen una cálida bienvenida, y luego lo dejamos estar, lo cual es genial, ¡no querrá irse!
