The perfect escape from the fast-paced city, yet close enough to enjoy it! Overlooking the swimming pool and garden, your beautifully appointed private suite is connected to our home by the alfresco patio that we welcome you to share with us. Bright and exquisitely decorated, we know you will enjoy your stay with us. Tadpoles' is always a popular choice amongst Sleeman Centre competitors, and we love having them back time and time again.
Best suited to a couple although two children could easily sleep on the double sofa-bed. Car necessary - as public transport is not very regular, particularly weekends. We have plenty of off-street parking for your vehicle. Access to and from the airport is very direct along the freeway, avoiding all suburban areas. It takes only 20 minutes to drive there from our home. Linking to the freeway to make daily trips to the Sunshine Coast (1 hour 20) or Gold Coast (50 mins) is very simple and very quick - 3 minutes and you're on the freeway north and south! Guests prefer to staying longer with us and taking themselves on relaxed daily excursions, knowing their luggage and personal possessions are safely locked away with us. We are very close to direct link roads in to Brisbane City and certain times of the day can only take 20 minutes. Effective air conditioning ensures your comfort throughout our balmy summer months and cooler winter evenings. A centrally positioned ceiling fan gives you the other option of a more soothing breeze. Tadpoles' is perfectly positioned for those attending events at either the Sleeman Sports' Complex (2 minutes drive away) or the three Belmont Shooting ranges (3 mins drive away). Both complexes host events throughout every year. International, national and regional swimming/sports competitions are held at these venues. We will provide you with delicious and healthy breakfast food left in your suite, so you can help yourself at a time that best suits you. The kitchenette allows you to make tea/coffee and there is also a sandwich maker, toaster, microwave and bar fridge that is stocked with our home-made preserves. PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO OTHER COOKING ALLOWED - a deliberate choice with it being a studio apartment. You will wake most mornings to the beautiful sounds of the native birds, the kookaburras start around 5am - their laugh is truly infectious. We have quite a flock of birds who think our place is their place, impatiently waiting each morning for their breakfast. We now have a beautiful rainbow lorikeet named Diane who crashed in to our window over two years ago - is absolutely adorable and now part of our family. We've occasionally had 'Kenny' the Koala arrive up a tree, but it's not often. One minute drive you will find the Gumdale shopping centre showcasing different cafes/restaurants as well as the local pub which serves up great food. There should be a store there that will meet all your needs (pharmacy, post office, grocery, wine store). As we live in the main house you will always see us pottering. The property is on 2.5 acres with huge protected gum trees. You will see us enjoying, working and relaxing around the area most days (unless John's surfing). We will always respect your privacy, but if you feel like a chat over a cuppa/wine with us, we always enjoy swapping travel stories. I pride myself in being a Super Host and encourage any guests to please let me know if there is something they are not happy with. I always strive to provide a clean, welcoming environment for you, and will do my utmost to ensure you will come back in the future, or recommend Tadpoles' Retreat to fellow travellers. To date the mix of guests that have made Tadpoles' Retreat their home away from home has been truly amazing: 30% are attending either the internationally acclaimed Sleeman Sports Complex or one of the three shooting venues at Belmont. One of our sporting families had one of their 4 sons represent Australia at the Rio Paralympics! To date in one year they have stayed with us seven times. We indeed feel very special. 30% of guests are from countries far and wide. We always try and invite our guests for a dinner (time permitted). We are continually learning about others' cultures and totally enjoy our get togethers. The other 30% of our guests are people often flying/driving interstate for business and/or pleasure. Tadpoles' Retreat seems perfectly located from the airport with no negotiating through built up areas.

    Very private eco-cottage set away from the main residence. The octagon shape of the house allows maximum light through its glass windows giving that perfect ambiance of a nature retreat. Fully air conditioned, although being nested in the tree setting keeps it naturally cool and ventilated. The lounge area has a modern comfy sofa bed for relaxing. Kitchen is fully functional with Induction cooktop, Oven/Microwave, Fridge, Kettle, Toaster and basic utensils for cooking and serving meals. Narrow stairs lead you to the first level which has a Queen size bed. Lie down and watch Smart TV (BYO Netflix login, YouTube sync) or open the curtains to enjoy the full views of the garden. There is a walk-in-wardrobe to store your luggage and sort your personal gear. Bathroom has both hot and cold water and is fitted with modern vanity and toilet.     Brand new town house, with a short walk to public transport, and bike ride to the waterfront. The area is great for casual fishing and boating. Shops and restaurants located close by and the airport is only a 15 minute drive away. The rooms are spacious, with built in wardrobes and are air conditioned. A continental breakfast will be provided for all guests. We both work in hospitality and love to meet new people and share life experiences whilst respecting your privacy.
    Guests have full access to kitchen, living and dining rooms as well as out door entertaining area with a bbq.
    Our house sits in between the beautiful Morton Bay and a 5 minute drive will take you to the restaurants and bars along the marina. The city is a short 25 minute drive and the Gold Coast is just under an hour south.

    The house is located in a calm area. Close to the sea. Shops and bus are located less than 1km. 45 minutes to reach the city by train. Perfect place if you are working at the Brisbane Port or Raffinery (10-15 minutes only)
    You enter the room through a separate entrance so you feel totally home. All comfort for you : Double bed (new mattress), aircon/heater, fridge, microwave, toaster, table, chairs, sofa to watch TV, ... You can have your meals on the undercovered terrace.
    Many opportunities to have full breakfast around, fastfood (thaï, chineese, burgers, …) or restaurants. You can get 2 busses going to the city at about 500m. Train is at 4km.

    This private space is the ground floor of our home and has a private entrance. Its open plan and large enough to accommodate 2 people (3 max if you have a small child). We have a diverse demographic of visitors however we do get a lot of sailors staying as our home is 3 blocks from the bayside with all the sailing and boat clubs, restaurants, cafe's etc. We are only a convenient 4 minute walk to train station which has express services into the heart of Brisbane.
    Beautiful walks and cycleways alongside the water just 5 minute walk from our home. Abundant choice of restaurants and cafe's too.

    Our home is set in a pleasant suburb in southeast Brisbane. We have two bedrooms available, both with queen-sized beds and wardrobe space. They are listed separately. The main bathroom is for our guests only. Well-equipped kitchen and pleasant living area, including a TV viewing area for guests. Full laundry facilities are available. There is a supermarket, chemist, medical facilities and cafes within walking distance. 16km to Brisbane Domestic Airport, 3.3km to Sleeman Sports Complex.
    We are a semi-retired couple, working on our various interests and projects and enjoy meeting and interacting with new people. We have an outdoor patio and lawn area for relaxing. The Manly harbour and esplanade are 7km away. Our street is quiet and safe.
    We have a large park, with open spaces and play equipment just around the corner. A few blocks away there is a small shopping centre with an IGA, chemist, news agent, medical practices and a range of coffee shops, bistros and a tavern - all within walking distance. There is a large swimming and sports centre 6 minutes away and a large Westfields shopping centre 11 minutes away.

You are free to share our beautiful pool, outdoor areas and laundry. - 13ks from the CBD - 3 mins drive to the Esplanade, wading pool & shopping centre - 10 mins walk to Manly train station - Pet friendly (message us about your pet before booking) PLEASE NOTE: Our property IS NOT suitable for children under 5 yrs of age
    We moved into this home in April 2018. We built the kitchenette new for our guests. We have a beautiful pool and entertaining area which you are welcome to use and we have lovely neighbours. Our home is pet-friendly with a fenced back yard and dog-house. We lost both of our dogs this year, so your animals will have free access outside.
    We live in a quiet street and have friendly neighbors. There is a Newsagent, Bakery, Coffee Shop and Service Station within 700 metres and a Spar Express supermarket 1.1km from our place. Shopping Centres, Restaurants and the Esplanade are all 10-15 mins walk or 3-5 mins drive.

    Our Airbnb is a fully self-contained apartment joined to our home however completely private with its own entrance. The apartment is clean, cosy and spacious with a full kitchen. We provide unlimited Wifi and Netflix and a smart TV The Sleeman sports centre at Chandler is a 10 min drive. Wynnum Manly Marina a 2 min drive. We are a 15 min drive to the Port of Brisbane and have recently been hosting guests who are at the Port for work or on courses.
    Guests have commented on how quite it is here.
    We live in a very safe, friendly neighbourhood close to cafe's, weekend markets and restaurants. The apartment location is close to Moreton & Stradbroke Island and even closer to the Manly Boat Harbour where many day trips depart from.

    My place is a lovely private flat and is detached from the main house. There is public transport to the city at the end of the street. The airport is approx. 15 mins drive, 30 mins to the city, 8 mins to the Sleeman Sports Centre, and the Wynnum/Manly Esplanade is only 7 mins away. You’ll love my place because of the private, convenient location and the quiet, leafy neighbourhood. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. Off street parking is available.
    This is a lovely private one bedroom flat with a large bedroom and renovated kitchen. You will also have shared access to the large salt water swimming pool. The large bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed and a reading chair. There is a built in wardrobe for your convenience. The kitchen is newly renovated. It has a dishwasher, microwave and hot plates. The flat is equipped with a TV and a selection of DVD's, an iPod dock, WiFi and a comfortable sofa. Tea, coffee machine, coffee pods and milk is provided.
    This is a quiet suburban neighbourhood. It is close to the beautiful Manly harbour and the esplanade where there is an array of coffee shops, restaurants and cafes. Manly village is a 7 minute drive away. Just two minutes down the road is Mayfair shopping centre which has a Woolworths supermarket and smaller specialty shops such as a bakery, chemist and coffee shop. There are also pizza and Thai dine-in and take away restaurants within that complex. The domestic and international airports are a 20 min drive, the city is a 30 min drive and the Gold and Sunshine Coasts are only an hour away.

    Your home-away-from home is a self-contained free-standing studio with an en-suite bathroom containing shower, basin and toilet; a queen-sized bed with quality mattress and bed-linen. The wall- mounted TV can be viewed from the bed or the comfortable large sofa and chair. There are hangers and shelves for clothes and a bench for suitcases. The half-kitchen contains a refrigerator, microwave, toaster and kettle as well as crockery, cutlery and glassware and other basic kitchen items.
    Quality coffees, teas, sugar and milk are provided with biscuits for that cuppa on arrival and to get you started the next morning. Undercover off-street parking is directly in front of the studio. A laundromat is located 2 minutes away.
    We are situated just a couple of minutes walk from Wellington Point village, which is picturesquely nestled under a canopy of Poinciana trees, which in summer are covered with stunning orange/red blooms. We have a very sought-after restaurant and cafe strip, with many cuisines on offer and the ever-popular Hogan's Hotel for a thirst-quenching drink or tasty pub meals. Just a pleasant 20 minutes walk , or minutes by car, takes you to "the Point", a beautiful recreation area right on the bay, where you can swim, walk out to King Island or participate in any number of water activities. There are public barbecues and "fish and chips" and excellent coffee are available at the Point of View cafe.

    This cosy flat is close to Murarrie train station, the airport and local shops. The flat has amenities for washing clothes and air mattresses should you need an additional quest stay. The access is easy and no stairs inside the unit. The flat is fully self contained and has lots of charm. Guest have access to the backyard, courtyard / barbecue and I am nearby or just a call away if guests need any help 😊.
    There is little garden court yard next to the stairs that is available to quests, a relaxing space to have a coffee and listen to the birds 🐦
    We are very close to public transportation, bus and trains. A convenient 7/11 store is on the same street as well as takeaway shop, coffee shop and local newsagents. Only 2 minutes to cannon hill shopping precinct.

    Our homestay is like being with family. We go the extra mile to assist you in getting to know Brisbane and will often take you to tourist attractions when time permits. We live in a safe area in a beautiful location near the water and close to public transport to get into the city on a direct route.
    Our neighbourhood is green and leafy and well established. A short walk takes you to the water's edge where there is a sea water pool and plenty of walk and bicycle ways. We also have bikes that you can use. The cafe's offer the best coffee and there is a variety of restaurants to choose from.

    Unit in great part of Manly close to train, shops, water, Marina and Gateway Motorway. Has been freshly renovated, clean and modern with all the comforts of home that you would need. Enjoy the waterfront 5 minutes walk as well as train station also 5 minutes. Not to mention the local restaraunts and bars!! If you choose to stay in however, you will be very comfortable.
    Comfortable place to stay while in Manly - private, quite and newly renovated so very fresh and inviting. The kitchen has everything you need and of course all linen is supplied. Access to casual sitting area with barbeque.
    Nice quite neighbourhood, train nearby and of course to walk along the waterfront is only 5 minutes down the hill.

    Our modern garden cottage is light, airy & comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen & lovely deck to catch the bay breezes or the winter sun. It is surrounded by garden for your enjoyment.
    We are high on a hill to catch the bay breezes. Parking is on the street out the front, but if walking up the steep slope is an issue, we can make a car space available in our carport on request. You will have your own entrance via a gate along the side of our house. There are sensor lights to light your way at night. There are five stairs up to the cottage, with 2 sturdy handrails. The bedroom has a very comfortable queen bed, a built in wardrobe with storage drawers, hanging space, ironing board, broom, heater & portacot if required to accommodate a small child. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, rangehood, microwave, coffee machine & bar fridge. All the crockery, cutlery, utensils, pots & pans you’ll need are there too. There are ceiling fans in the bedroom & living area. The bathroom has a shower, toilet & vanity. The living area has a comfortable sofa, a TV/DVD, a radio/CD player & a small collection of CDs, DVDs & books. Free Wifi also available. Login provided on checkin.
    A pretty quiet neighbourhood, but close to local amenities. Commonwealth Games venues 5 & 10 minutes drive away, several shopping centres, cafes, pubs, restaurants 5-10 minutes drive. Walk 5-10 mins to local supermarkets, cafes, pubs & restaurants. Very close to Gateway Motorway which takes you south to Gold Coast & beyond, north to Sunshine Coast & beyond.

    In the house • Free Wifi • A large lounge area set up with 55cm Smart TV, Netflix, Stan, Amazon Prime and YouTube. • A sitting area where you can chill or sit with someone and chat • Dining room for eating • Fully fitted kitchen with all mod cons • Parking – on street or in the driveway as long as you don’t mind moving the car if you park someone in. • An office you can use if I’m not (multiple screens, desk, keyboard, printer, scanner etc) • Laundry with front loading washing machine and clothes dryer (in garage as we rarely use) • Main bathroom with full sized bath, shower etc – Toilet is separate • Backyard (although it does come with a big dog (he’s nice)….more on that later) Who will you share with? He is outside most of the time (unless he sneaks in!) NOTE: for bookings over 7 days a $50 cleaning fee applies - I can't add this to the cleaning fee on the booking as it applies it to all bookings and I don't to want to charge a cleaning fee when it's short term.
    Tingalpa is a suburb of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is located 10 kilometres east of the CBD. It is very handy to the Brisbane airport which is 10-15mins by car just over the Gateway Bridge. Tingalpa has two small local shopping centres: Twin Parks Shopping Centre located on Wynnum Road, Tingalpa - and one located on Belmont Road, Belmont. There are two large shopping centres within a 10-minute drive; Wynnum Plaza has Kmart, Coles, Woolworths, Dan Murphys, Fitness First and 59 Specialty stores whilst Carindale Shopping Centre features Myer, David Jones and a large selection of specialty shops. Both the Twin Parks and the Cannon Hill shopping centres are basic centres. There are some great eating places close to our home. Mother Africa is a standout at the end of our street as is Paw Paw Asian in Twin Parks Shopping Centre, a short 800m walk from our home. The neighbourhood is quieter than some closer to the city so good if you need some peace and quiet.

Situated in Manly, 5 mins walk to water, restaurants and train station. Also very handy for sporting activities at Chandler. Quite position, totally separate to house on property, own private space to relax, TV, lounge, great kitchen and all linen and towels. Close to Gateway Motorway and Port. And of course the lovely foreshore to be enjoyed!
    Quite part of Manly, own private space and entrance with off street parking. Great kitchen and lounge to relax in. The unit is well equipped to make your stay comfortable. Breakfast pack on arrival.
    Close to water, many restaurants 5 minutes walk away along with train station. The foreshore is a great walk along the waters edge. Airport is 20 mins drive, Chandler sporting 10 mins drive, Gateway motorway access within 10 minutes and Port of Brisbane 5 minutes drive. The waterfront is a nice place to wander and you can even hire a paddle board on waterfront! The marina at Manly is right there and day tours leave from the main jetty.

    Welcome to our home by the bay! Studio B is a self-contained apartment located on the first floor of this recently renovated cottage-come-three-storey home. It includes a queen-size bed, bathroom and open plan kitchenette, living and dining space with a small outdoor patio. Guests also have access to our large outdoor entertaining area, which includes multiple seating areas, bbq, swimming pool and backyard with play equipment. There is a shared laundry with washing machine & dryer downstairs.
    The space is accessed via the front gate or from the car spaces under the house (please note the apartment is located on the first floor via one flight of stairs). The open plan kitchenette, living and dining space includes everything you need in a home away from home: including air-conditioning, ceiling fan, free Wi-Fi, Stan, and Netflix. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, hotplate, electric frypan, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, convection microwave, cutlery, plates, cups & glasses.
    Wynnum is a family-friendly bayside suburb that boasts great facilities for fishing, sailing/boating, walking, cycling and kayaking.     Guests will enjoy the master bedroom with: ensuite (shower, vanity, toilet), hairdryer, basic toiletries, air-conditioned and ceiling fan, built in robes, wall mounted TV and WiFi. For privacy, the master bedroom has its own secure and well lit entry and is locked off from the main apartment. Master bedroom opens onto private ground floor patio with hammock and BBQ table and chairs. The apartment complex is set in a tranquil bush setting.
    The apartment complex is new, and is ground floor opposite the complex/communal pool (additional toilet and shower) and BBQ area. This area also has a community BBQ and outdoor eating area adjacent to the pool. The complex is located in a bush setting and is very safe and secure. Parking is opposite the apartment and is included in stay.
    Manly/Lota/Wynnum area has a vibrant cafe feeling. On weekends there is always something to do, the local farmer's and craft markets are well worth a visit. A compendium in your room has current information on what's on and local maps. Uber eats is great if you just need some down time and eat at home.

    Large open plan home with a beautiful, forest outlook. Two freshly furnished Queen sized rooms available. A home mechanical business is run from my home as well, but we work only when guests are away from the house.
    Large home in a country setting. 17 km to Brisbane City, 4.6 km to Westfield Garden City, bus stop just down the road, less than a km to the M1 Gold Coast / Sunshine Coast access. Easy access to the bay Islands. 2 freshly furnished Queen sized rooms in a modern open plan home. Big outdoor spaces in a gumtree forest outlook.
    The area is situated on the rural fringes of Brisbane. The outlook is peaceful and natural.

    We are on a large block with the guest house meters from our private residence. Open plan family room has the kitchen with a breakfast bar and lounge area to relax in. Use of the pool is available on notices. Air conditioning is a ducted system which can provide warmth or cool temps as required. We are only 15min from the airport and 15 min from the city. And 45 min to the Gold. Chandler Sports complex is only 500mts away which is where public transport is available.
    We have a strip of shops only 1km away including doctors chemists coffee shops restaurant and a supermarket in 8min you can be shopping at one of the largest shopping centre in the region Carindale

Markets Sundays & 1st & 3rd Sat. Free off street parking. Airport 15-20mins. WiFi, Netflix, 42" TV. Kitchenette with all the necessities. 4 steps into room. Pets OK.
    Guests will enjoy their own private studio with kitchenette, high quality king size bed, leather lounge and dining table. There is also a separate private bathroom including a shower, bath and separate toilet. The bathroom and toilet are in the same area as the studio but are a few steps away and still in your private area. It is like you have the whole floor of a house really. A quality fold out queen sofa bed is also available. There is a large rumpus area that can be used as a sitting area too and a lovely verandah upstairs with views to the bay overlooking the garden always available to guests. The owners do not access the guest's space during the stay unless requested by guests. Guests have their own private entrance to their area to come and go as they please and the studio is completely secure with lock and key for guests. Free Wifi, Netflix and 42 inch Digital TV.     Liesel and Brian's Fully furnished Granny flat is self contained with separate entrance and off street parking. From our place it is a 20 minute drive to the Brisbane Airport and quick, easy access to the Motorway to go south(Gold Coast) or North(Sunshine coast). It is approximately a 5 minute drive to Sleeman Sport Complex and Belmont Shooting range for some events of the upcoming 2018 Commonwealth Games. Great coffee shops, Woolworths, IGA, Pharmacy, Post Office and restaurants are close by.
    The Granny flat is best suited for a couple although two children could easily sleep on the double sofa-bed. Access to the Motorway is quick and easy. A day trip to enjoy at the beach could be taken either south (Gold Coast about 1 hour) or north (Sunshine Coast about 1 hour 30). A trip to Brisbane city is only 20 minutes during off-peak traffic hours. The Cleveland train line will take you into the city and can be accessed from a few stations in the area, the closest only 10 minutes away. Mayfair Village (Woolworths, Gloria Jeans, Domino's Pizza, doctors, dentist and pharmacy) and Eastside Village shopping (IGA, Laundromat, Subway, Gumdale Tavern, Thirsty Camel and pharmacy) centres are a few minutes from our place. The kitchenette includes coffee/tea making facilities, toaster, microwave, bar fridge and dishwasher. Outside BBQ is available.
    Our neighbourhood is quiet and you will be able to enjoy the early morning birds chirping. We have a few native Kookaburras in the trees around the park and their laughing call can be heard in the mornings. The park is walking distance from our place. There is a playground for kids, outside gym facility and BBQ facilities and walk ways through the estates available to enjoy.
