    La casa está ubicada en una calle histórica bordeada de árboles y considerada una de las calles más bellas del pais. Recientemente renovada, está a poca distancia de los museos y de la Casa Blanca. A una cuadra de los restaurantes, cafés y clubes más populares. Cuenta con fácil acceso a los metros de Dupont y U Street, Bikeshare, acceso directo al National Airport). Los propietarios son una pareja bilingüe de arquitectos, Estados Unidos-Argentina, a quien les encanta la lectura y los viajes.
    Construida en 1870, la casa se convirtió en un “corner store”, vivió un periodo de abandono hasta ser renovada por los actuales arquitectos / propietarios. El estilo de la vivienda es rústico, viejos retratos de la familia cuelgan en una pared de ladrillos donde el yeso original ha quedado expuesto, la sala de estar es de doble altura con ventanas muy altas y plantas que sobreviven en el interior durante el invierno. La cocina cuenta con una altura de 10’, el studio de los arquitectos esta en la vivienda. La habitación de huéspedes cuenta con baño privado pequeño al que se accede por un pasillo. Hay dos gatos, Luna y Cleo.
    Ubicada en una tranquila calle arbolada, la casa está a sólo una manzana de algunos de los mejores y más nuevos restaurantes, bares, locales de música y cafés que Washington DC tiene para ofrecer. A poca distancia de Trader Joes y Whole foods, así como de los museos y monumentos históricos del centro y la Casa Blanca.

    Four story townhouse features newly remodeled and very well equipped kitchen (with fireplace), dining room, living room with high ceilings and second fireplace. Powder room off entry and third full bathroom on top floor. Washer and dryer on entry level. Two outdoor spaces: a beautifully landscaped backyard garden with dining table and grill and a rooftop deck. Top floor features NIR sauna and yoga area.     Historic Georgetown is in the northwest quadrant of Washington, DC situated along the Potomac River and Rock Creek. Walking up and down the tree lined streets of Georgetown is a delight, viewing quaint and charming homes, gardens, flower filled window boxes and brick sidewalks which have been in place for centuries, perhaps walked upon by such notables such as George Washington, JFK or Alexander Hamilton himself. Local businesses add so much additional character, like the butcher shop two blocks away that makes the best pastrami sandwiches you will ever eat. There's also a dry cleaners, a wine shop and a corner store within a stone's throw. Our favorite farmers' markets are a hop, skip and jump away and open Wednesdays at Rose Park in season and Sundays at Dupont Circle year round. The nearby Georgetown Waterfront provides additional entertainment, either wining and dining at the many hot spots with a water view along the river or actually going on the Potomac for paddle boarding or kayaking. So much to see or do throughout the neighborhood, with countless shops, restaurants and entertainment establishments within walking distance, both in Georgetown and Dupont Circle.

For those wanting to hit the White House or National Mall, walk 2 minutes and catch the S4 bus which goes down 16th Street. The White House is about a 10 minute bus ride and the Mall is another ten. We highly recommend Uber or Lyft for getting around the city, especially if you have a larger group size, since it is comparable to the cost of metro tickets.     Enjoy your stay in DC in a small, cute, sunny, private cottage with a kitchenette, cable tv, and a private full bath. Located in a quiet neighborhood convenient to The National Mall, The Capitol Building, and great restaurants.
    Private cottage with private entrance features a queen bed, private bath, cable tv, a kitchenette, WiFi, heating and cooling controlled by you and clean towels, sheets and bedspreads. This is a very small house and in order to maximize the storage possibilities the bed is about a foot higher off the floor than a regular bed. We have a stool to help you but if this will be a problem you may want to look into another place to stay. Conveniently located to Union Station, The Capitol Building, The National Mall, H Street/Atlas District, Eastern Market, great restaurants, and public transportation. Most of these locations are easily walkable or if you prefer to bike or take public transportation that is convenient too. This cottage is in our backyard. There is a field behind our house where we and many other neighbors enjoy playing soccer. We have 3 kids ages 9- 12. Check In is at 2pm. Check Out is at 10am. If you arrive early and would like to leave your bags in our storage room let us know and we can work that out!
    Capitol Hill is a very family friendly, walkable neighborhood. There is a field behind our house where neighbors enjoy playing soccer. We are walking distance to a few parks, Eastern Market, H St./Atlas District and some great restaurants.

    My home is in Northeast DC, close to the Brookland metro station (red line). I have a renovated row home with a huge backyard, which you also have access to. Guests will have your own bedroom on the basement level with a queen bed, mini fridge, and private bathroom. When making an inquiry or request, please share little bit about yourself and what brings you to DC.
    Brookland is kind of a retro neighborhood...lots of cute bungalows, tree-lined streets, and friendly neighbors. There's also great new restaurants and Right Proper brewery less than two blocks away. And with Catholic University nearby, you'd be walking/biking distance to the metro, cafes and bookstore. Brookland is close to Northeast's most popular destinations - Union Market and H Street corridor. I'm about a 15-minute uber or metro ride to downtown where most of the traditional DC sites & museums are located.

    Trinidad is a hip, up-and-coming neighborhood next to DC's popular H street, a mile-and-half stretch of bars, art galleries and restaurants. Trinidad is adjacent to the Capitol Hill neighborhood, and if you feel up to it, many of DC's museums, the Capitol building, etc. are about a 30-40 minute walk from the house. A 2016 Washington Post feature on the neighborhood describes it as "a five-minute walk from the restaurant and bar scene along Northeast’s H Street corridor, a ten-minute stroll from Union Market, and less than a 20-minute walk from NoMa (and the Red Line)... the neighborhood itself has a lot going for it on its own. Metro, this modern English basement apt. with gas fireplace & high ceilings is a walkable spot to a gourmet grocery store, bars, restaurants, the Convention Center, and Chinatown. The home has exposed brick, Bosch appliances, heated bathroom floor--just 5 metro stops to the White House, the Mall and museums. The Shaw neighborhood is vibrant, constantly changing and full of diversity and young people. A great value with an experienced & DC-licensed host!
    You won't feel like you're in an English basement! Cozy up by the fireplace in the winter and enjoy the cool pad in the summer. Since this is a basement, please note my disclosures below in "other things to note." I personally refurbished this 140-year-old property with one of D.C.'s hottest architects. You can trust that I have taken great care to provide you with fine amenities and attention to detail. This 625 sq. ft. apartment is very comfortable for four people, with two in the bedroom and two others could sleep on the pull-out, queen-sized sofa. There are also 2 single Aerobed blow-up mattresses. If you are traveling as a family, I would consider more than 4 people, but it would be tight. If you need just one night's stay, contact me and we can work something out. I've priced the apartment very competitively using the variable rates AirBnB suggests, based on the time of year. The actual daily cost may be higher or lower than the standard daily rate advertised, but you will always feel like you're getting your money's worth compared to any hotel in DC. If you've used AirBnB before, you know you have to lower expectations just a bit as a budget-conscious traveler (but not too much with this apartment). I also tend to book up fast during peak seasons. Any dates that are grayed out on the calendar you see are booked by other guests. This apartment is a dedicated rental, 365 days a year. I can almost always allow guests to drop their bags after 12:00 noon, but the maid will need a 2-hour window to clean, which can be as late as 5 p.m.
    Shaw is the hottest neighborhood in DC right now. There's a great city vibe with nearby bars and restaurants, including a great beer garden 1.5 blocks away. A new gourmet grocery store is only 4 blocks away--a nice stroll through the historic Shaw neighborhood. The colorful row houses were all built at the turn-of-the-century--a classic feature of D.C. Two take-outs are across the street: Chinese and Mediterranean/Indian will do in a pinch, and a 24-hour 7-11 is a block away.

Easy parking! 2 blks from bus, appx 1 mile walk to metro (Green line). Children of all ages welcome! :) Many of my neighbors have known each other for years, and you will often find them socializing on their porches or front/back yards having a cookout.
    The living room area is furnished with a couch, a trundle daybed, mini-fridge, french press coffee maker, stove, TV, and Roku streaming media player with access to movie/TV services. There is plenty of room for luggage, yoga, pack-and-plays, etc. Guests have their own entrance to come and go as they please without going through the main house. You can park on the street and use the back entryway steps, or park in the private parking pad.
    The house is located in a residential neighborhood right off of I-295. Being close to I-295 means super easy access by car to the Capitol Hill area. I am two blocks from bus routes and about one mile away from the Congress Heights Green Line metro station. There is pizza delivery and other limited food delivery options via Uber Eats. The closest grocery store (Giant) is near the metro station, about a mile away. It's a pretty social neighborhood; during the summer months you will often see neighbors grilling or hanging-out with each other outside.

The apartment is only 5 steps down to a serene garden level unit. Over-sized windows in both front and rear bedrooms and full-light doors. Open living area with kitchen and dining table in the middle of unit. It is well lit with recessed lighting and natural light filtering from front and rear entry doors. Modern finishes make this a comfortable retreat from busy days of sightseeing and conferences.
    We live on a one-way street and it is relatively quiet for a city. Transportation, grocery stores, farmers market, great restaurants, and sights of D.C. are only blocks from our house. Our location provides wonderful city living. We are centrally located in an urban setting. We recommend guests leaving nothing in cars, even trunks and purchase travel insurance.

    Great one bedroom in the basement of a Victorian House. Kitchen, private bathroom, hight speed internet. Furnished. In the heart of U street and 14th.
    You will have full access to any part of the house/machinery and linens (bedding, tablecloths and towels). Once you get off the U street metro, take exit on 13th street. You will be just in front of the house. The entrance to the basement is on the back side. On the left side of the house you will see a small gate. Open the gate, walk through the corridor and make a right at the end. You will see a wooden gate that take to the house backyard and the entrance door to the basement. Very easy! For a time being the front gate is locked so you would have to use a back way to the house, which is marked on a map I sent to every guest once reservation is confirmed. The back entrance is just a 5 minute walk from the main one and it is completely safe. The guest will have full use of the house without interaction of the host, unless differently coordinated in advance. At night, you have three main choices in D.C.: Georgetown, where the tourists and frat boys go to party; Adams Morgan, where the frat boys go once they've graduated; and U Street, where you won't find any of the above. The strip of bars, restaurants and boutiques runs for about eight blocks between 17th Street and 9th Street NW, in a neighborhood called Shaw.     We love our 100-year-old home, and we restored it ourselves. The apartment has original brick walls, exposed rafters, hardwood floors and all the quirks that come with a historic house. Sounds of life from upstairs such as creaky floors and water running are noticeable during the day, but it is the rare exception for a guest to find it disruptive. The bathroom is small but functional. We provide a double air mattress with linens for a 3rd or 4th guest, and a baby crib with sheets is available, too!
    Bloomingdale is just north of the US Capitol building. You can see the Capitol dome from our street.

    Foggy bottom neighborhood is a historic district. Foggy Bottom takes its name from the morning mist that comes off of its southern boundary, the Potomac River. But the neighborhood, which stretches up to include the West End (just west of Georgetown) is a clear winner. Home to the Kennedy Center, the State Department and the southern tip of Rock.

Please note that with its age comes quirks - we call it charm! Please show up expecting a 130 year old brick home, not a modern, chic Ritz Carlton. Beds: 1 Queen in its own room 1 Queen memory foam sleeper sofa in the living room The space accommodates 4 people (It is most comfortable for 2, or a family with children, but will accommodate up to four adults if adults are willing to sleep on the pull out sofa bed). The full bathroom has a tiled shower/tub and fresh, fluffy towels. All sheets, towels, etc are freshly laundered prior to guest's arrival.     If you haven't spent time in Capitol Hill/Eastern Market, you are missing out! This is the best neighborhood in the city, and its safe and family friendly! We are a few blocks from Lincoln Park where you can workout, or sunbathe, or have a snowball fight. Within a 10-15 minute walk there are tons of restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops. Every Sat/Sun there is a local flea market a few streets away - they make the best pastries and home baked goods! The house is a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive from Union Station. Capitol Hill is really the best neighborhood in the city.

National Mall and monuments are a quick Uber ride away or nice flat 20 minute or so walk. Take in a show at the Kennedy Center which is a 20 minute walk along the Potomac.

  • Estaba llegando a DC para ver un espectáculo en el Centro Kennedy y estaba buscando un lugar cercano para quedarme. Solo estuve allí una noche y no necesitaba muchas comodidades, solo un lugar limpio, cómodo y seguro donde hospedarme. Y no tiene un precio exorbitante. Este lugar se ajustaba perfectamente.     The home is on a quiet street in a bustling urban area with ample parking. The neighborhood is called Kingman Park and in recent years it began a renaissance. Another draw is the new trolley line on H Street which connects directly to Union Station, terrific restaurants and clubs on H Street NE, and shopping at Giant, Safeway, Aldi and Whole Foods.     Its a bright and beautiful one bedroom/one bath in a renovated carriage house. Two large windows in the living room, a dining table to seat 4. Open kitchen with everything you might need. The bedroom ( located on the second level) has a full bed, comfortable for a couple and leads to a private deck to enjoy the beautiful DC skyline. The living room sofa folds down to sleep one additional guest (or maybe two kids).
    Located east of Logan Circle and directly north of the US Capitol building in the NW quadrant, Bloomingdale is known has the warmest and friendliest neighborhood in Washington, DC!     The most convenient studio apartment in DC. Located so close to Union station 600 square feet, a front patio and rear patio, full kitchen, washer and dryer, bathroom all located two blocks to two supermarkets, a drugstore and numerous coffee shops and restaurants. Easily catch the Metro from Union Station 5 blocks away, ride the DC Streetcar up and down historic H Street, or take an Uber or Lyft a few blocks to anywhere in town!
    This space is perfect for individuals on work travel or for couples vacationing. It's not a large space but has plenty of room to be comfortable and stretch out. There are pots, pans, glassware, plates and bowls, flatware for anyone that likes to cook. There is also a full washer and dryer in the unit to freshen up your laundry. It would be a tight squeeze for three guests, but is doable with one person sleeping on the couch. There is a patio in the front and in the rear of the home the guests are welcome to use, including a chimenea (fire pit) for a nominal extra firewood charge. We will get pictures of the outside space posted shortly. Pets are allowed on a case by case basis, so please ask!
    Stop by Bullfrog Bagels in the morning for a bagel or bagel sandwich and great coffee. Union Market is great for lunch, oysters and wine, and general people watching and noshing. The Big Board (right next door) has some of the best burgers in town and plays sporting events, Boundary Road across the street is a bit classier without the TVs. The US Capitol, Supreme Court and Library of Congress buildings are a quick 8-9 block walk through a historic neighborhood. Metro access at Union Station can get you across town in minutes.

Reagan National Airport is a 15-minute drive away. Gated parking spot comes with the apartment. You will be so close to all of the great things that DC has to offer, and you will feel like you are at your second luxurious home! Capital Bikeshare and 96 Bus across the street. Located in historic Mt. Vernon Square neighborhood.
    The house is a two story historic DC row house with modern finishes. It has been extensively remodeled, with large master bedroom and second bedroom with excellent light, closet space and open space concept on the main floors that connects with a modern kitchen. We tried to maintain some of the original details of a 100+ year old row house. The master bedroom has a real queen size mattress and bed frame. The second bedroom is smaller and has a queen size real bed. The living room sofa is a queen size sofa bed.
    House is located in the Historic Mount Vernon Square district with many row houses built in late 1890s and early 1900s. The view of the Capital dome is visible from the street. We are centrally located in an urban setting. We recommend guests leaving nothing in cars, even trunks and purchase travel insurance.

We'll provide some drinks and a few snacks to get you going as well as tea and coffee you can make in the room The location: We have a beautiful corner lot row house in NE Capitol Hill, a few blocks from the budding H ST NE neighborhood. We are close to multiple bike share racks (one block to the closest) about a mile/2km to the Capitol building, Union Station, and Eastern Market, respectively Who we are: Adam and Jen are your hosts. Adam works a government job by day and makes custom hardwood furniture by night and weekend; Jen is a Physician Assistant by day and has built a beautiful garden in our yard, sews, and does all sorts of crafty things. Our dog, Britta, loves people; but she does not have access to your space. If you don't love dogs, we can arrange to ensure you don't have any contact with her (like when you come to the front door). Other amenities: We have wireless internet (password provided upon check in); there is a TV and a Roku player for streaming Netflix/Pandora in the room, as well as cable If you're driving, let us know and we can work out a parking pass, or perhaps put you in our driveway space (if you have a small car). The washer/dryer are just through the door into our basement...if you need to use them, we can arrange that.     Our neighborhood is unique: we are between two bustling areas (H ST NE and Eastern Market). Both of those areas are full of restaurants, bars, shops, and positive urban energy. Our block, and the ones immediately adjacent, are home to quiet families who enjoy the nearby amenities, but also the relative tranquility of our flower and vegetable gardens.

    This place has all the sun in the world, bright, warm and cozy. It has everything needed for a comfortable stay.
    this is a medium size studio apartment, with everything necessary for your stay. There is a queen size bed with a memory foam mattress, 46" TV with a comfortable sofa. Fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker, toaster and a microwave is good enough for cooking and the bar height counter is comfortable for meals. There is a walk-in closet for storage and cloths.
    Foggy Bottom is my personal favorite in Washington DC. it has all types of restaurants, bars and hip coffee shops. Grocery stores are just 2 block away, as well as CVS and other convenience stores. The place is walking distance to Georgetown, Dupont circle as well as major sites in DC. The White House, The Mall and most of Smithsonian museums are just 15-20 minute walk away. If you choose to go further than that, not a problem, Foggy Bottom metro station is just 2 blocks away with blue orange and silver lines, and a bus stop is right outside the building.
