Walk to Belle Isle, 6 min drive to downtown! A spacious 1BR corner loft overlooking the river and two parks. Lots of light and beautiful view. Convenient location off Jefferson Ave and Detroit's Riverwalk. Gated parking for one car. First time visitors to Detroit and city regulars will enjoy using my loft as a base of operations. I've been a contributing author to Wildsam Field Guides, an eclectic guidebook publisher, and have great recommendations for most cravings in this unique city.
I have a few spaces in Detroit. A perfect retreat in Detroit. I grew up in Montana, lived in India for a few years, and ran a journalism startup in Detroit called Jaunt, so I have decorated my place with remnants of my travels. I also contributed to a Detroit guidebook called WildSam Field Guides, so I can help you put together a good itinerary or fill any holes you might have. I mostly live on my sailboat during the summer and I teach Marine Science on a sailing school vessel. The loft is all open except for the bathroom. The bedroom is separated by a wall without a ceiling. The kitchen has all the basic essentials and utensils plus coffee, tea, cereal, oatmeal, etc. for breakfast. I have an HDTV with Blu-Ray, Roku, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and an HD OTR antennae for NBC, ABC, FOX, etc. Then there's the bed. Queen and super comfortable - I splurged on the bed because good sleep is really important to me. For extra guests, there is a queen pull-out sofa in the common area. The apartment can accommodate up to four (two in each queen bed) but you're starting to get a little cramped. I will decline requests for greater than four people unless you have a special circumstance. There are two A/C units: one window-mounted right next to the bed and the other in the living room space. They do a good job on the loft 90% of the time, but if the sun is glaring and it is scorching hot, they won't be able to create the refrigerated A/C frigidity we are used to with central air. The bedroom unit works perfectly if you shut the door to the common area. In the winter, you can turn the heat up as much as you like and make it toasty warm. Since I took the listing photos, I have had new counters and cabinets installed in the kitchen (it's better!). The dishwasher has also been removed per building policy.
I moved here in October, 2014 from the nearby West Village area where there are a few great new restaurants, like Craft Work, Detroit Vegan Soul, and Red Hook Coffee. The loft is on the Riverwalk, which is a bike/walk trail connecting you to downtown and Eastern Market via the Dequindre Cut, a converted rail line that runs off of the Riverwalk. I am also walking distance to the Belle Isle bridge. The building is kitty corner to a Coast Guard base, a U.S. Federal building, and the offices of a private security firm. The streets are lit and other residents of the building are frequently coming and going. I have always felt that the area around where I live is quite safe.

  • Thane y Karen son excelentes anfitriones. La comunicación fue una brisa. El loft en sí está en una ubicación maravillosa con una vista excelente.     WOODBRIDGE FARM: We love it here! ...very special and unique. The street is filled with Urban Pioneers and creative types; artists, musicians, gardeners, and makers. You will find that most homes sit on larger pieces of land, giving Woodbridge Farms a unique feel. Many of the houses in the area have undergone impressive renovations, and for the others the renovation is underway. We have completed the interior renovations of this home, and soon we will start renovation on the house next door, which we also own. From the outside they look a little rough, but keep coming back and you will be able to witness the transformation! US & OUR RENOVATION PROJECTS: We are longtime Detroiter’s. We are committed to the City, and we are so happy to have been a part of the revitalization of Detroit. We love old homes …and we love to renovate them! Zac is a general contractor, and Renee is an Interior Designer. Together, we have been restoring old homes in Woodbridge for the last 15 years. LOCATION: You are a short walk/drive from Detroit’s midtown area, where you will find a variety of restaurants and shopping. Both Corktown and Downtown are within a few miles. It is a very quiet neighborhood, conveniently located to all major freeways. Lots of parking. THE LISTING: Newly renovated, with the best of care. Open plan kitchen, dining, and living. King size bed with fine linens and nice pillows. The bedroom windows are opposite the sun rise. It is a very peaceful space, bright, open and fresh. We are sure you will love the apartment. It is clean and private. We have an office on the first floor that is completely separate from the space. Zac is typically there M-F 9-5 should you need to print, copy or have any questions. If you have any special requests we will do our best to accommodate you, if given a bit of notice. We live 2 blocks away from the apartment should anything urgent come up.

  • Estuve en Detroit para la boda de un amigo y miré en algunos hoteles del centro antes de reservar el apartamento de Zac & Renee. Me alegro de haberlo hecho! Como la mayoría de las festividades eran del centro o del norte, su lugar era perfecto para mí. ¡Las fotos no le hacen justicia a la cantidad de espacio y a lo aireado y soleado que es! Ver a mis amigos encerrados en sus hoteles del centro me recordó que tomé la decisión correcta.     This 1880s Gothic-Victorian Mansion was renovated in 2015. Everything is new, clean and modern. There is a queen sized bed and an air mattress. The space can definitely accommodate 3-4 people, but it’ll be cozy (i.e., it’s a Studio). There is ample closet space, a full kitchen, washer/dryer and a private bathroom. The space gets great light. In addition to the low-key cocktail bar in the garden level, Detroit Clothing Circle clothing shop downstairs offers curated racks of clothing with styles that won't blend in with the herd.
    We have a great location in Midtown Detroit, many great bars, restaurants, and shops are within walking distance. Popular nearby attractions include the DIA, MOCAD, Chartreuse, Jolly Pumpkin, Hop Cat, Motor City Brewing Works, Great Lakes Coffee and Whole Foods.

    My husband, Matt, and I have a lovely flat in Hamtramck that has been restored to its original 1920s charm. Our style is intentional and warm, and decorations include things that we have collected through the years that have meaning to us. Equipped with a queen size bed in a spacious bedroom it is perfect for a couple or close friends! There’s plenty of room for an air mattress too. The living room has a couch, eating table, chair, and bar with stools for enjoying food and beverages. We provide a TV with Netflix access, games, and books for when you feel like relaxing after a long day of hanging out in the city. The brightness and vintage style of the kitchen will warm your heart. You will love cooking in this space, not to mention you will be provided with any cooking supplies you need. Lastly, the bathroom is large and clean with a vintage claw foot tub for a tranquil bath or shower. For longer stays, you are welcome to our washer and dryer in the basement.

Some of Windsor's finest Italian eateries. 15 minute walk to Riverfront, downtown and Casino. Bridge and tunnel access to Detroit. Later check in times are fine, code lock. A grocery store 1 1/2 blocks away. A bakery 2 blocks away. A fresh fish store 1 block away. A sushi bar 1 block away. A cornucopia of restaurants within a 15 block radius, maybe 20.
    There is actually a small balcony on the roof to which you have access. Nice place to enjoy the full moon in the summer, if you happen to be here then.
    Bus stop within a block. It is on Erie St. Which is in the middle of Little Italy. Many great Italian eateries. And a burger place that has a $25.00 hamburger. Happens to be right at the bus stop. Kobe beef!!

    READ DETAILS BEFORE BOOKING. My place is close to Downtown, nightlife, family-friendly activities, restaurants and dining, the aquatic centre, and the U.S. Border. You’ll love my place because I am friendly and accommodating. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. There is a cat, one permanent resident (gay male), and a second guest room in this home. I do my best to accommodate check-in within posted hours, but sometimes have work related delays.
    This room has an HD TV with a "Chromecast" and HDMI/USB ports. It does not have cable. You can hook it up to a laptop with HDMI or casting device though.
    Located in the downtown area of Windsor directly on a bus route with free street parking.

    We are in Canada. Welcome to Win-Rezz Tasi . 10min walk to the beautiful riverfront and Univ of Windsor. 5min drive to downtown, to Caesar's Casino, to Detroit USA and to trendy Walkerville. A spacious, bright, lower floor living+bedroom with gas fireplace and kitchenette. Enjoy a comfortable bed with high quality bedding. A super quiet downtown location with no through traffic. A separate entrance, with keyless entry. Wifi is top speed. Free street parking is usually available right outside.
    Access to this lower level BR is via a side entrance that is also connected to the rest of the house. Tasi is an independent, lower floor space. On upper floors, other ABnB guests and host will be staying. Stairs have five steps from main floor to this lower level. After the door just after entry into the space, there is a lowered lengthwise bulkhead that is 5ft-7in high. So watch your head when coming and going out or to the bathroom. That ceiling part now has a line of foam cushion to make any forgetful knocks less painful. The rest of the general Tasi ceiling is 71 inches high Tasi has a kitchenette for light cooking. An induction cooktop, small slow cooker, microwave, pot, utensils and cutlery are supplied, sufficient for 2 people. Coffee maker and coffee and tea supplies are provided Laundry is available if staying for at least 5 days
    Riverfront is close by. Great for walks. Many restaurants in the neighborhood, and Detroit is 10min across the river through the tunnel or over the bridge (subject to border control delays, and border crossing needs a passport and visa depending on country of origin)

    We just replaced all brand new windows recently in 2018. This is a nice clean well take care of apartment/basement suite with private entrance, laundry, Internet, TV, cooking equipment, coffee maker and microwave. The ceiling is a little low but average for a basement suite. If you are looking for clean affordable accommodations with good/responsive customer service while you are in town please let me know. We know the neighbourhood have been here for 6 years and can say it is a quiet street.
    This is a nice clean well taken care basement suite and is a good alternative to staying at a hotel. Primarily our guests are out of town workers coming to Windsor for work. We do occasionally get guests that are visiting Windsor and USA and want to save on accommodations. I pride myself in doing my best to accommodate the needs of my guest I would say this kind of service is unique to this space.
    The suite is located in Canada Ford City and we know the neighbourhood, have been here for 6 years and can say it is a quiet street with good neighbourhoods.

  • El lugar de Bharti era muy ordenado y cómodo. La ubicación era perfecta para mí, ya que estaba ayudando a mi hermano a mudarse a la siguiente calle ese fin de semana. Lo más memorable de este viaje fue la flexibilidad de Bharti. Originalmente estaba programado para visitar Windsor hace un par de semanas, pero debido al clima, mis vuelos se reprogramaron y tuve que reprogramar mi visita en el último minuto y Bharti tuvo la amabilidad de recibirme para un fin de semana alternativo sin cargos adicionales. De hecho, ella me reembolsó 4.5 $ ya que el precio para el nuevo fin de semana fue más bajo. Es raro encontrarse con un anfitrión tan genuino, honesto y acogedor.     Clean modern decor. Our unit is a basement apartment; we live above. My wife and I are available to answer questions and we can help you regarding Windsor and places to visit. We will even pick you up at the train station or airport. Our goal is to make your stay plesent and stress free. Internet is ultra high speed. Your apartment has a 50" tv with over 300 channels to choose from.
    Our place is in the University of Windsor neighborhood. We are 3 min. walk from the Detroit River where you can bike or stroll for miles all the way to our Casino and beyond. We have a queen bed in the bedroom,and two single beds in the commen area. Additionally we have two portable beds we can bring out if you are a large party. We had a family of 6 with us for 26 days and they were very comfortable. Our space is about 750 square feet. The river walk if very beautiful and clean. Our city has been diligent creating a beautiful sculpture park boardwalk riverfront. It is the best ever. We have many restaurants walking distance away, and some are very reasonable prices. We are close to downtown (1km) and grocery stores, even an International Market were you can choose fresh fish from a tank and have it cleaned as you wait. My wife and I have many recommendations for places to eat and visit. Places we have enjoyed ourselves that are unique and special.
    I like the neighborhood allot. Being close to the university makes for an atmosphere charged with youth and learning. The Detroit River is steps away and the bike/walking jogging path is very well kept. The riverfront area is Windsor's pride and joy, just steps away.

  • El espacio de Kate es muy urbano y elegante en una gran parte de la ciudad. Limpio y lleno de elementos de diseño únicos y muebles y accesorios hechos a mano o reutilizados. Fácil de caminar al Casino, lo que hizo que nuestra experiencia de concierto allí fuera muy agradable. Kate también tiene excelentes recomendaciones para salir a cenar. Sinceramente, busco otro espectáculo para asistir para que podamos disfrutar de su apartamento nuevamente.

    The apartment is located on a busy main road with street parking. It is the front unit of a triplex with no one above the bedroom or living room.The apartment has laundry and kitchen in the unit there is cooking equipment there but if you require anything specific please ask. The flooring is epoxy, laminate and tile so it would be good to bring slippers. The kitchen, laundry area and bathroom have a lower ceiling. The apartment has fresh paint and renovated kitchen, bathroom.
    The whole apartment is for the guest, there is a closet in the bathroom with towels and linens, there is coffee and some other stuff in the cabinet by the steps.
    Ford city is an area in the city of Windsor. It is close to the ford plant and this area was where the automotive manufacturing started in Canada. The area is in the midst of a rejuvenation with many new projects in the works.
