A popular ice cream stop.
They have food and are a sit-down restaurant as well, but the highlight are their sundaes.
Even if you're taking out, prepare for a wait (if going at peak times)

My favorite deep dish spot!
Protip: don't get too many toppings, otherwise the crust (which is the best part) gets soggy.

It'll be crowded if you go at peak times, but definitely worth seeing.

This area is really cool. Good views of the city and the lake. Architecturally, the buildings, museum, and Soldier Field (at least the old part) are very interesting. And of course, the museums themselves are worthy destinations. There's the Field Museum of Natural History, the Adler Planetarium, and the Shedd Aquarium.

Essentials
Neighborhood grocery store that has pretty good prices on produce. Also, because of the Latino community in the neighborhood, it has a lot of cultural foods you might not find in more mainstream grocery stores.
