Sightseeing
The iconic view of Diamond Head is visible from the unit, but even more impressive is the view from the top of the crater. There is a $5 fee per car or $1 fee per person (if you walk in). Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for the hike up. It gets steep at the end. Bring good walking shoes, water (although I believe they do sell water there now), and sunscreen! My favorite time is early in the morning when itʻs still cool. The gates open at 6am and the last hike allowed is 4:30pm. Gates close at 6pm.

Poke
Poke Places- Do you know what poke (po-kay) is? It is usually small cubes of raw fish that can be seasoned with a variety of different sauces. My favorite poke spot is Ono Seafood. It is right up the street from the building about four minutes drive. I always get a Large size with spicy and miso.
Bishop Museum is recognized as one of the top museums in the world for its Pacific/Polynesian collection. It's great on any day if you are interested in learning more about the Hawaiian culture, and on rainy days, it's the perfect venue to continue your Hawaii vacation.
