Easiest way to visit the mountain is by driving up to the Egmont Visitor's Centre (turn off from Egmont Village). There are some good displays, a cafe and information centre, and some good short walks start from here. Note that the mountain is not to betaken lightly. Do not attempt a longer walk without preparation, suitable equipment, and advising someone of your intentions.
