Top Ten Nashville Coffee Shops

Top Ten

As former baristas and current coffee snobs, these are our top ten favorite shops in Nashville. We chose these based not only on coffee quality, but also on shop vibes, friendly baristas, and overall experience. Whether you know everything there is to know about coffee or are just a total novice, each of these shops will welcome you with open arms and happily answer your questions. All ten have been staples of our weekly coffee runs, and you really can't go wrong with any of them!
The best of the best. Crema has incredible coffee (that they source directly from the farmers) and friendly baristas. If you go in the summer, I highly recommend their Coffee Soda. Otherwise our go-to is a cuban.

Humphreys Street's cafe is an old church that provides an incredible vibe for hanging out. Their drinks are superb and always have inventive seasonal drinks. They're a social enterprise, training local high school students to roast and brew their coffee.

Steadfast is north of the city in the Germantown neighborhood. Their cafe is bright and open with a great patio. Our recommendation: The Atlas, drip coffee with demerara and aromatic cream. (It also happens to be Alton Brown's favorite coffee drink anywhere)

It may be tiny, but Matryoshka makes up for its size with big vibes and incredibly friendly baristas. Their drinks are always inventive and they aren't afraid to make craft coffee fun. Our pick: confetti cuban (literally a latte with edible glitter. incredible).

Frothy Monkey was an early player in the Nashville coffee game and for good reason. Their coffee is consistently great and always tucked away in great spots. This location is in the 12 South neighborhood with tons of great shops and restaurants. Grab a coffee and take a stroll around.
