Pack a picnic, bring lots of water, suntan lotion and bug spray (usually not too bad, but sometimes if there's no wind the mosquitos can be annoying).

Good shore fishing in the spring for trout and walleye; kind of iffy in the summer, but possible. Pack a picnic, bring lots of water, suntan lotion and bug spray (usually not too bad, but sometimes if there's no wind the mosquitos can be annoying).
