Walk down the path to the beach and perched out on the point is one of Maui's best restaurants with one of the most spectacular views. A great place to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine and enough to satisfy even the most discriminate foodie.

This is the home of Maui's best Mai Tai. It will set you back $14 smackers but it is worth every penny. This is not your traditional Mai Tai. It is topped with a beautiful layer of lilikoi foam (passion fruit) made from scratch like the old school soda jerks. Its a drink that will sneak up on you too. They don't skimp on the liquor. Two of these and you will be in your happy place. Go for Happy hour between 3 to 6 or after 11pm and they are half price along with most everything on the Pupu menu, including pizzas. Everything here is amazing.

Maui's Best Luau! Authentic Hawaiian Experience and fun for the whole family. If you are a foodie and not traveling with children you may also want to consider the Feast at Lele. It is owned and operated by the Old Lahaina Luau and offers the same cultural experience that Old Lahaina Luau does but adds table service and a fine dining experience. Both luau's offer incredible food. The Old Lahaina Luau does a dinner buffet which is the traditional luau style and great for kids. Feast at Lele is a 7 course meal in which each coarse features authentic dishes from each Polynesian island. The dishes are served while the performers share culture and dance of each of the islands. Both are amazing!

This mountain ridge trail connects Maunalei Arboretum to the heart of Kapalua Resort. Offering spectacular views of Mokupe‘a and Honokahua Gulches, this trail allows hikers to walk through rugged land once used to cultivate coffee and pineapple during the Honolua Ranch era. The trail is accessible from the Kapalua Village Center or D.T. Flemings Beach. Please note that it is a strenuous 20 plus-mile roundtrip hike to the trailhead so hikers are advised to dress appropriately, carry adequate water and nutrition and be mindful of hazardous weather conditions. No return transportation from the trailhead above Plantation Estates and Honolua Ridge will be provided. No private vehicles permitted.

Sunrise and Sunset atop the crater of Haleakaala Volcano is truly and incredible sight and should be in your top 2 things to do in Maui. The other top two thing being the road to Hana. To do sunrise you need to make a reservation on the parks website. Just google Haleakala Sunrise and it will be the first thing that comes up. It sells out fast but they release 20 tickets each day at 4pm HST so don't give up if its sold out.

This is commonly referred to as "Big Beach and Little Beach" by locals. It is one of the most breathtaking and beautiful beaches in all of Hawaii and must if you have time. Its about 45 minutes drive from the house but so worth it. Little Beach the world famous nude beach located past Big Beach and facing the ocean is on the far right of the Big beach. It is a difficult climb over the rocks but worth it if you are sure footed and able bodied to get over the rocks. I liken Sundays here to Burning Man. Even if you are not into the drums and nudity it is just the most incredible views, white sandy beach, and teal blue crystal clear water you will find. There is also a little hike at the far end

Maunalei Arboretum was established in the 1920s by D.T. Fleming (he had the beach named after him), who was the plantation manager of Honolua Ranch. “He traveled the world seeking new plant and tree species that would complement our island home; these discoveries can be seen today planted like a lei encircling the mountain top.” (www.kapaluamaui.com). Many of the signs indicating names of some native as well as exotic species are fun to find with the kids on the trail (although some signs are missing) or you can make a scavenger hunt of it with the children and locate them on the map with the kids and find them that way . Three different trails are accessible once you reach the arboretum.
