A local pub (30 yards away!) which has a great atmosphere and excellent service. They serve decent pub food and have a very good selection of beers and wine. A great place for a beer sat outside in the forecourt or in their beer garden.

Parks & Nature
Epping forest is huge and well worth a visit to get in touch with nature. It can be accessed in various places, via car or by walking from the house. If you're walking it takes roughly 15 minutes or there's a bus which takes you to Whipps Cross hospital and you can enter the forest from there. That is what we do and take our daughter to feed the ducks, swans etc there. You can also hire a little boat and go around the lake there. Very relaxing.

Epping Forest

Brick Lane is eay to get to from here. An overland train from Walthamstow Central to Liverpool Street then it's a 10/15 minute walk from there. There's plenty to do and see there.
