Sightseeing

The Church of Bethesda-By-The Sea is a magnificent and historic structure. You can see it by the architecture, and the old spanish designs in the building. The imagery is stunning, and will take your breath the first time you see the inside of the church. Stained glass is intricate, and no two panes are the same. Tapestries hang from the wall, 3d sculptured paintings above the doors, even gargoyles on the parapets and stairways outside guard the place. You have to see this place to appreciate it...

Step inside and spend time looking at wonderful photos of Palm Beach's history and celebrities, including fabulous photos of the Kennedy family, actors, and local's who have spent the better parts of their lives on the enchanted island, and can share fabulous stories about it's incredibly unique history! This old theater serves as a church on Sunday, and is a small, intimate theater, which would have been a perfect size in its day. If those walls could talk!!! I've heard some pretty great stories from people who actually grew up going there in their youth.

The preserve was named for its rocky Anastasia limestone shoreline – the largest on the U.S. Atlantic coast. During extreme high tides and after winter storms, seas break against the rocks and force plumes of saltwater up to 50 feet skyward. It’s an impressive sight. The carefully restored habitats found here are disappearing fast from many Florida islands, and a number of endangered plants and animals call this special place home – including rare loggerhead, green and leatherback sea turtles.
