If you fancy crafted cocktails, this is the place for you! I love the ambiance of this place which is gastro-pub meets high-end. And did I mention, it's directly across from Wrigley Field?

Just 500' from the front door is a favorite for locals and a classic -- Holiday Club. They have great bar food that makes you feel guilty for eating! It's an old establishment and dive bar-ish, but always great fun. They have patio seating and 80s & 90s music Friday & Saturday after 10pm.

My favorite BYOB spot and it happens to remind me of a bedazzled version of my childhood. The food is a fusion between Cuban and Filipino and each dish is better than the next.

And the winner for best deep dish? Pequod's Pizza! I'm not sure if there really was an award, but this is the best by far for locals. It's a small sports bar-type place, low key and ridiculously cheap lunch special-- like $4.95 special?!?! The secret sauce is the caramelized crust which = HEAVEN.

They're located at Montrose Beach and after SUP'ing, grab a cocktail and snack at The Dock at Montrose.

Noyane is my favorite rooftop bar in Chicago and is a short trip (~15mins) down the red line off of the Grand stop. It's above the Conrad Hilton hotel in the River North neighborhood.

Diversey Driving Range is part of the Chicago Park District and located near Diversey Harbor. It's open from 7am - 11pm and has a 2 story driving range and mini-golf. It's a great way to spend a few hours and work on your full swing!

I love to laugh and make it a habit, especially in the cold winter months in Chicago, to visit the comedy clubs all around town to increase my serotonin levels and laugh lines.
Improv Shakespeare is on of the most creative, talented, low cost comedy show here in Chicago. I have been to Second City, Zanies, Laugh Factory, I/O Theater, Wit Theater, and so on. This by far ranks at the top of my list because of the comedy induces belly laughs every time.

It's worth the trip a little farther west to the Avondale neighborhood.
