The Currituck Light Is A Sight to See! Climb Up 220 stairs of This Historic and Still Active Lighthouse In Operation Since 1875! The lighthouse overlooks Whalehead Historic Park which is free and open to the public. The park, which features three unique attractions, offers wide-open green spaces that are great for watching the sunset, walking, biking, and events. My husband and I got married at Whalehead last year, so this is an extra special place for my family!

Jockey’s Ridge, the tallest living sand dune on the Atlantic coast, is a premier location for kites, sightseeing and sunsets, with a view arcing from the ocean to Roanoke Sound. It is a hike to get to the top, but it is worth it! We recommend going closer to sunset, not only for the views, but also to avoid the heat while climbing the dunes.

Absolutely amazing! All of their donuts are delicious, but our favorite is the maple bacon! This is very popular so we suggest going to the Duck Donuts in Kitty Hawk due to long lines at the one in Duck.
