Fantastic park at the top of a winding road going up to the top of the cliffs in the area. It gives a great view of all of Bancroft from a lookout on the trail and had some interesting information boards to see along the main trail. Lots of hiking trails and in great shape overall. I'd definitely come back to try and get more pictures of the birds enjoying the thermals near the lookout point.

For a small space this gallery is so diverse and packed with quality art, from oils, graphic acrylics, mixed media, photography, silk painting, pottery, sculpture and jewellery all made by local artisans. It is definitely worth a visit..or two !!

A local gem, but not too hidden. A mix of eclectic antiques, and simple cottage decor make this place a must see for all passers by! We have purchased several small items from the store to work on that "OCottage feel"

Egan Chutes Provincial Park
487 Detlor RoadGreat place to explore-whether you want forrest, mini private beaches or climbing over rapids and rock pools. All relatively easy and quick (we spent about 1.5hrs exploring in there, but could be in and out in under an hour if you just go in and out).
I really liked this park-we stopped in on a drive through. It has a decent play structure (mulch ground cover), picnic tables, bathrooms, swings, skate park, access to a small River, and a canteen. Very pretty and decent shade. We were there in the evening so the businesses were closed. Worth the short walk from downtown to have your picnic here. Parking doesn't appear to be an issue-note that there is the local museum adjacent that shares the parking. Park is not fenced in so keep a watch especially due to the water access.

We came a long way to visit. Met Sonja who was very nice and her puppy.. Beautiful gift shop and a fun experience digging for gems. Wear boots and glasses. Great for kids too. A must when visiting or driving thru area.

This shop is certainly not over priced. The vintage pieces are very under priced. I will be stopping there every time I drive through Bancroft to collect more. Very charming and dedicated people as well.

wow, what a gem of a course. Bancroft's best kept secret. tucked behind the highway, once you are on the course you think you are far, far away from town and highway. Greens, fairways etc all in very good condition. And, best part-the bar has several beers on tap and a great menu. I will def. be back !!

The staff here are friendly and are working hard to make improvements on the course. A positive atmosphere to be around. Great for all skill levels.

Friendly staff, excellent food and drinks! We come here often. This time we had the Chef's choice-battered pickerel with sweet potato fries. It was delicious! Covid 19 protocols were in place so we spent the time out on their patio. Always a great place to people watch as well.

A great choice in Bancroft. After many years of cottaging in the area, we decided to try out The Granite. An extensive menu that didn't overwhelm with choice, and the options provided were all desirable or interesting: a good mix of finer dining options along with simpler sandwiches and salads. We lucked out with one of the best tables in the house, right in a picturesque bay window. Service was prompt and courteous. we hot, very fresh and well presented-and most importantly, tasty: Onion petals, chicken stir fry and beef tenderloin. Pricing would be considered aspirational. Live music on the night we were there was an added bonus! Recommended. Our appetizers and meals
