Finding Nature Within the City
Beautiful locations with city limits.
Heritage Ranch is awesome. The trails take you down to the river. Fire pits and picnic tables are all over! There is a playground, trail rides, a restaurant and history.

This beautiful sanctuary boasts trails and a look out over the lake. You’ll see plenty of birds and maybe even a beaver! There is an interpretive centre, nature store, Harmony Garden, and Imagination Grove (a super cool playground).

Gaetz Lakes Migratory Bird Sanctuary

Bower Ponds is a lovely place to visit. The walking trails lead you down to Heritage Ranch. At night some of the trails are lit with colour changing lights. In the winter, the pond freezes over and families are able to go skating. There is a cafe and skate rentals at the pond.

There is a community basketball hoop and tarmac just down the road. There is also a large soccer field. An outdoor hockey rink is available for use during the winter as well.

Extra Parking
The streets in Springbrook are pretty narrow. If you have extra vehicles, there are parking lots at the end of most streets. Ours is at the turn off onto Tarmarac Blvd.

Enjoy the Gasoline Alley Farmers Market every weekend (Fri-Sun)! It’s indoors and is running through the pandemic with public safety restrictions. It’s just a short drive from the house or take a bike!
