Sightseeing
Just wonder 10 minutes through the town to Burghley Park, the grounds that surround the house and you are bound to spot a group of deer in the distance. The park is full of beautiful mature trees which are all labelled. As wonderful in the autumn as in the summer. We love the sculpture gardens too which you need to pay at the entrance to the left of the orangery. (drive round to the main entrance) The Gardens of Surprise, if a bit expensive, are great fun for children on a hot day (take towels!). The house is worth visiting too. Burghley House is one of the UK’s most impressive Elizabethan manors. They have made a lot of effort to make the displays engaging and interactive.

Just wonder 10 minutes through the town to Burghley Park, the grounds that surround the house and you are bound to spot a group of deer in the distance.
