You can have one of the most spectacular views from Olympiaberg, Munich's tallest hill. Depending on your fitness level, you can walk, cycle or even run up this hill. The ways to descend depend on the weather: anything from skiing to sledging to rolling is possible! :)

How to correctly order beer in Munich and Bavaria

5 quick tips on ordering (and drinking) Bavaria's beverage: 1. Don't just order "beer" - we have so many different types! Decide if you want a Helles, Pils, or Radler (beer with lemonade) or... 2. Don't order a tall beer - in Munich, we traditionally serve beer in 1-litre mugs (Maß). Ordering a tall one is just going to annoy the waiter. 3. Careful! In a self-service, like most beergardens, don't order more than two Maß at once, they're really heavy! ;) 4. In most beergardens, you're allowed to bring your own food! 5. Don't drain your beerglass completely - the last bit is gross!

How to Munich in 5 steps

1. Respect the rules (jaywalking is frowned upon). 2. Don't walk in the bike lane 3. Know your transport zone (all of the inner city of Munich is zone M) 4. Pay for AND validate your train tickets (single tickets except day tickets need to be validated at one of the blue validation machines. Just push your ticket into the machine, wait for it to stamp, and you're good to go!) 5. Keep the noise down (especially in public transport, you'll notice a pindrop silence. Germans aren't the most talkative, and the majority of Munich's local population appreciates quiet on the train, bus and metro)
