Founded by Jean de la Valette, the Grand Master of the Order of the knights of St. John who gave it its name, in 1566. The capital is full of architectural scenery. The city is protected by impenetrably thick walls which were built to defend it from the Ottoman invasion.

Definitely worth to visit this spot and grab an ice-cream from one of the stalls surrounding the Pjazza.
