Forty Steps is one of the gems of the cliff walk, and is an easy stroll from the house. When I was a kid these stairs were MADE OF WOOD if you can believe that.

Billionaire Tobacco heiress Doris Duke founded the Newport Restoration Foundation and continues to keep so many historic houses in our city in good repair. The grounds of Rough Point feel otherworldly, I don't know how to explain it. Stop by & say hi to the two topiary camels, Baby & Princess who were at one point ACTUAL CAMELS. I'm not kidding. Take the tour, it's so worth it.

Beautiful view of the Newport Bridge from here, and there's a tiny little water access spot (Blue Rocks). This neighborhood is nice to stroll around in, a lot of historic houses here. Good sea glass spot.
