I enjoy most of their food here, especially their coconut shrimp, kalbi, pork sliders, & fries with a delicious piña colada & can't wait to go back. The setting is located overlooking a large pond, and the torch lit dining just sets the mood. The view and atmosphere is incredible; Sunday Brunch is amazing. Happy hour is 4pm to 6pm, some fantastic drinks! If you like Prime Rib, it is only $37 bucks, but they sell out quick. This dinner order is enough to share with someone it is huge.

Your first stop along the North Shore will be charming Haleiwa. More than the laid back surf town it seems, Haleiwa is filled with local style and country ambiance as well as cool surf shops and boutiques, understated restaurants and charming art galleries. Rich with island history, Haleiwa is now the social and artistic hub of the North Shore. Here you’ll find surfers fueling up at the restaurants in its plantation era buildings before hitting the famous beaches of Waimea Bay, Ehukai (Banzai Pipeline) and Sunset Beach. You’ll also find locals and visitors shopping, eating and winding down after a day in the sun. Haleiwa is a far cry from the excitement of Waikiki, and that’s exactly how the people of the North Shore like it.

The Lanikai Pillboxes hike (a.k.a, Ka’iwa Ridge Trail) is well known for being one of the easiest hikes on the island and one of the most scenic. That’s a rare combination. You can complete the hike in an hour or less if you want to. But once you see the sweeping views of Kailua and Lanikai from the ridge, you may want to spend more time on the trail. Come at dawn or dusk for the best views.

This is an amazing hike/walk! But solely because of the reward that awaits on the top. The view is amazing, and on a clear day you can see several of the other islands from the top. The hike itself is a lot of uneven steps, and it is quite tough/great exercise. Go early in the morning to beat the heat and bring some water to drink!

This Kailua Farmers' Market is the one located in the parking structure across from Longs on Thursday evenings from 5-7:30pm. They feature about 20-ish vendors with produce, honey, pa'i'ai & poi, baked goods, plans, prepared foods, live music, and the Blood Bank bus is even there. Produce first: there are several vendors, but perhaps not as many as one would expect at a farmers market. However, I found the variety of produce nice, very fresh, and quite reasonable. There are probably more prepared food booths than there are produce vendors. Ba-Le is also there with a wide selection of baked goods. The Pig & the Lady, Greens & Vines and Guava Smoked are just a few names that come to mind. There are a few stand-up tables and an open area where you can bring your chairs/blankets and sit on the concrete to enjoy your food and the live music. It would be nice to have a grassy area, or seating, but if you know the area, it's just an asphalt parking lot.
