This is such an enchanting park on the bay! Tons of shade. Huge trees where local crane’s nest in the very tops. A splash pad and playground. Clean bathrooms. There’s a bay swimming “beach” - we love to take our kids here when there are red flags on the beach and they can’t swim. Great spot to paddle board from.

Big Kahuna is SO FUN! When we lived here this was our go to and we had season passes every year. It’s got areas for little kids - I think there’s about 4 different toddler swim areas and then of course there’s giant slides for adults and big kids and Every age In between. Pro tip: they say no food allowed in but that never stops us 🤣There is food for sale there. They “search” your bag but not very thoroughly. Just put food in the bottom under towels :) You can come and go on a day pass so we used to take our littles there in the AM and then back home for naps and then back to big Kahuna in the afternoon.

Big Kahuna's Water & Adventure Park
1007 US-98Big Kahuna is SO FUN! When we lived here this was our go to and we had season passes every year. This is very close to Captain Leonard park! This is a lovely park with an older playground, bathrooms and a waterfront you can swim in. Dock, too. Great spot to paddle board from. We’ve spent many days here! Definitely a locals spot.

14081 Emerald Coast PkwyThis place is a 23 min drive with no traffic so make sure to check google maps before you leave. You’ll also pay the toll on the mid bay bridge to get there and back. BUT! This is a magical playground! So many different spaces to play, shade, water features, splash pad.

This is the playground at Baytowne Wharf. It is all wooden except for the slides, which can get very hot when it’s extremely hot outside. It’s huge and so fun! So many places within for kids to imagine and play. This is a good spot because there’s lots to do around the playground, restaurants, things to see. We usually order pizza from a nearby restaurant and let the kids play.

Large aquarium area. Most of the exhibits are outside, but covered. The shows are not covered. If it’s lightly raining, we go here! If you have an umbrella or rain coat you can get by because many things are covered. You will be outdoors though. Aquarium inside.
