If you are a fan of Mediterranean cuisine, quality local wine and relaxed atmosphere, go ahead – this is the place for you! Our menu is authentic, based on the Mediterranean style of cooking, based on fresh fish, seafood, organic vegetables, homemade pasta, Greek and Dalmatian appetizers, salads, olive oil and Mediterranean spices. It’s great for vegetarians, people who are fasting and eating low-calorie food, but who are also true gourmets. Our food is perfectly paired with local wines from famous wine cellars of Fruska Gora and its monasteries. For the end of your visit to our restaurant, we always suggest bermet or calvados with excellent espresso and panakota (feel free to lick your fingers). It is desirable to announce your arrival, due to the limited number of seats (unless you want to eat standing up). But it is not necessary … See you!

It is all about a wordplay with 2 answers.
In Serbian, ‘veliki’ means both large and great. In our case, ‘veliki’ means great, as in Alexander the Great. Similar to Russian where ‘veliki’ means great and bolshoi stands for large, as in Peter the Great and Bolshoi Theater.
Our slogan is “Big Heart Equals Great Service”
We will endeavor to be both great and exceptional!
Our CONCEPT
How did we come up with all of this…
Novi Sad is a multi-cultural metropolis, and our restaurant is a gathering place for urban people. This concept is explained by both cultural and historical facts.
It is commonly considered that Vojvodinian, i.e.”Lala”, is a chubby man with mustaches dressed in traditional folk costume( white baggy shirt and trousers, with black waistcoat and hat), and Vojvodina’s households are farms with chequered tablecloths. Urban Vojvodina and its city lifestyle are somehow forgotten.
We wish to rekindle this memory. Our food entwines the cuisines of Germany (Austria), Hungary, Slovakia and naturally Serbia, as well as the gastronomy of other ethnic communities that have been living in this region for centuries.

Once this was open it was one of first burger places in town.Now there are plenty but people still prefer to take one in Toster.They have wide offer of craft beers also so it is good point to start of your night or to end your day in Toster
