Of course, there are always folks who’d rather not learn at all, so they can rent a tube and head to the country’s largest snow tubing park, also located at Camelback. If you’d like to make a weekend out of it, Camelback has great lift ticket deals with a stay at their on resort hotel.

The Appalachian Trail cuts through the southern portion of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area before crossing the Delaware River into New Jersey. This trail affords nearly unlimited hiking in either direction and offers a great day hike for visitors to the area.

City/town information
Nestled in the southern Poconos, Jim Thorpe is a destination for shopping, outdoor adventure, live music and dining. A perfect small town in the foothills of a valley in the Poconos. They have scenic trains that go through the mountainsides. The downtown main street is really beautiful for all seasons with shopping and restaurants (including their Christmas Festival!) We strongly recommend the slightly longer drive to see this destination.
