We only stayed for one night but we enjoyed that it was quiet. The accommodation was very new and clean. Thank you!

Es war einer unserer schönsten Aufenthalte in einer Unterkunft. Die Aussicht war atemberaubend. Man konnte von der Terrasse aus auf einen Wasserfall schauen, während man wilde Affen beim klettern zuschauen konnte. Als Begrüßung gab es Tee und Süßgebäck. Ich habe noch nie so einen flexiblen und gastfreundlich Host erlebt wie Dileepa. Er hat uns eine selbstgezeichnete Karte gegeben, auf dem alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten und gute Restaurants in der Umgebung markiert waren und hat uns erklärt zu welcher Zeit man am besten was unternehmen kann. Wir haben neben einem super leckerem Frühstück sogar ganz früh morgens eine kleine Stärkung für die Wanderung bekommen, damit wir den Sonnenaufgang auf dem little adams Peak genießen konnten. Er hat uns sogar angeboten uns sowohl von der City abzuholen, als auch am Ende zum Bahnhof zu bringen. Einen besseren Host kann man sich nicht wünschen und wir bereuen nur, dass wir nicht mehr Tage gebucht haben um länger zu bleiben. :)

The house was very beautiful, amazing views of the lake Gregory, mountains and perfect spot to view sea plane landing. Our family loved it. Kitchen could be equipped more with spoons, utensils etc. Pradeep and his Mom were very helpful. Bathroom could be more clean and glass doors need to be revamped as the water came out while taking shower. Perfect house for our Christmas gateway. Thanks.

We stayed 5 nights at Cecilia Cottage and did not want to leave once our time was up. A beautiful and peaceful apartment that felt homely right away. The host sharmini went above for all our requests and made our stay very special. I can’t wait to visit again. Thank you very much for everything!

What an adventure. We were a group of friends with people of all ages and everyone loved the space. It’s not a child friendly place but kids (and everyone else) loved the surroundings,birds and views. We hiked to the neighboring hill and were rewarded with amazing views. The hosts are very attentive and dealt with any issues proactively. It’s not an easy location but one worth making the effort to get to. The house is beautiful and rustic. An outdoor bathroom isn’t the most practical but somehow adds to the house and we can see how it would be great on the summer. The kitchen had everything we needed, we cooked all our meals with ease, and the local housekeeper is perfect if you prefer not to cook, in fact having her cook for you is a great way of empowering her to create a better life for herself and her family. Jody and Punyaka were always responsive and we hope to have the chance to visit again, it’s not an experience we will easily forget! Don’t miss Diyaluma falls (take swimsuit).

Wunderschöner Aufenthalt. Zuerst fragte ich nach der Adresse, als Antwort bekam ich dass wir vom Bahnhof in Ella abgeholt werden. Das Treehouse liegt sehr schön in der Natur, ist dadurch aber alleine schwierig zu erreichen. Dies ist jedoch kein Problem, da wir (kostenlos!) vom Bahnhof abgeholt wurden. Für alle anderen Aktivitäten hatten wir den Fahrer Sugala, mit welchem wir einen geheimen Wasserfall aufgesucht haben. Eine der schönsten Erfahrungen unseres Urlaubs, auch wenn dieser Wasserfall nur Leuten zu empfehlen ist, die auch gerne etwas anspruchsvollere Wege gehen. Dadurch waren wir fast die einzigen Leute im Pool unter dem Wasserfall. Fragt im Hotel nach Sugala, er wurde innerhalb eines Tages für uns mehr ein Freund als nur ein Fahrer. Er kennt die Gegend wie kein anderer und kann euch alles zeigen. Das Zimmer war sehr gemütlich und die Aussicht von der Dachterrasse traumhaft. Essen war auch top. Der Gastgeber war auch sehr freundlich und konnte immer helfen. Klare Empfehlung!

Our best find in Sri Lanka. Hosts, Michael & Ruwanthi are so friendly & helpful, going out of their way to make sure we had a truly wonderful time. Glyn Myu is beautiful, luxurious & very comfortable. The location is quite simply breathtaking. Ruwanthi is an incredibly talented cook serving exquisite meals with most ingredients gathered from her extensive garden. Her knowledge of the dietary & medicinal properties of her homegrown larder is very impressive. She is also delighted to share her passion & knowledge. A Sri Lankan gem where we felt welcome, relaxed & immediately at home. They have a very informative website with contact details!
