Amazing location to switch off and relax. The place is pretty basic which is fine but it needs a bit of TLC. Would be great to have the wood at the house and not having to ask for it all the time. Worth visiting for sure for the location and views/walk around the private estate.

2nd time staying here, and would definitely stay again. A pleasant house with parking in a quiet neighbourhood, but just minutes from the main roads and town centre. Walking distance to local pubs and restaurants, but the area has a very 'villagey' feel to it. Everything I needed for my stay.

4 couples, had a great weekend at Eider Cottage. Only one parking place allocated, but plenty of visitor places nearby. The house was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. We kicked off our shoes and completely relaxed. Being directly on the lake was wonderful and we enjoyed using the Kayaks to explore the other side. Saw many varieties of birds. The Spa is a short walk away. We booked the day before, and had a lovely time using the 3 pools. We did a lot of walking around the beautiful lakes and 2 of us brought their bikes. The on site Property Managers, Liam & Pete were on hand and had excellent communications. We would highly recommend Eider Cottage and hope to return to Lower Mill Estate in the near future.

We had a wonderful stay as a group of friends celebrating some big birthdays. The house was stunning and spotless. We had great fun on the lake each day and enjoyed some lovely walks and meals out at local restaurants. Beautiful scenery from the decking, bedrooms and hot tub! James was very communicative and helpful and there were some lovely birthday surprises left for us. A really special break, we’ll definitely be back.

My stay at Foxt Cottages was nothing short of spectacular! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with rolling hills and lush greenery providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing escape. The private swimming lake was a highlight, offering serene views and a refreshing dip right at our doorstep. The cottage itself was cozy, clean, and well-equipped, making it easy to unwind. For our little one, the activities were a hit—plenty of outdoor fun to keep them entertained while we soaked in the peaceful vibe. The hosts were warm and attentive, ensuring every detail was perfect. If you’re looking for a tranquil retreat with stunning landscapes and family-friendly amenities, Foxt Cottages is a must-visit! We’re already planning our next stay.

The perfect location to enjoy some peace and tranquility in the countryside. The house also benefits from being right on the lake with a private jetty where you can use all the kayaks and paddle-boards provided. In the surrounding areas there are some beautiful walks where you can explore the nearby areas. The local village in South Cerney is within walking distance which has some convenience stores. It is also very close to drive to some bigger supermarkets for anything else needed. Inside the house, everything is pristine and decor is to a very high standard. The kitchen and dining area was a great open space with room for all of us to be in without feeling cramped. We found a lovely welcome basket included by the hosts and there are all the amenities you would need in the kitchen. The layout of the house was perfect and the ratio of bathrooms to bedrooms was great, even for a group of girls! Overall we had a fabulous trip and the hosts were always on hand to provide recommendations.

We had a smashing stay at Angela’s. Great and swift communications. As fir the house itself, Imagine that you are house sitting a farmhouse. Everything you need is there and works. Look at the photos it perfectly captures the quirk and character of that old house. We enjoyed it and would return. Just what we wanted. Hay is ten minutes drive, the river is a small walk away and the great black mountains basically up hill from right there. The roads are so quiet, the garden beautiful and the night is properly dark. Just what we wanted.

Rachel’s barn was perfect for our break with friends and family. Amazing location, really peaceful, and only a mile and a half along the canal to The Royal Oak! The barn was spacious and equipped with everything we needed. We’ll definitely be going back next year 🍷

A truly magical, cosy, and charming cottage! It was perfect for us, our daughter and our dog - we only wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely visit again.

Pauls place is in a great location and taking advantage of the parking permit that's included, is a must! The space is warm and inviting and the house is the perfect layout for socialising. We stayed for my mums birthday and it was a great space for relaxing. Walk in to town is a matter of minutes.

I didn't meet Nick. His house is very spacious and the bed is very comfortable. Full use of the kitchen is offered which is good.

Spent two nights at the cottage, the experience was surreal. It place allows you to disconnect from daily life and take a moment. There are lots of treks and walks around the cottage. Drive up to the cottage is an adventure but definitely worth the effort once you get there. Cottage doesn’t have wi fi but you get decent mobile connectivity so that wasn’t an issue at all. If you love looking out to fantastic views and enjoy exploring the hill on your feet you have got to try this one. 15 minutes drive from Bala town where you get all amenities.

We were a family of 8 and had a great time. Charlie communicated well and we had no problem settling in. The house is very charming with lots of character and we had everything we needed. We walked to the pub in 20 minutes but i wouldn't recommend it for kids or elderly or in the dark. We made a nice little easter egg hunt for the kids in the grounds and enjoyed playing on the Dennis court do. We would definitely come back again.

A girls night away in the cabins and we wanted to stay forever longer! When we arrived we were so shocked by how stunning it was, so quiet with only the sound of the river and the most stylish cabins and good sized hot tub. It had everything we could've needed and a very high tech air fryer. Anthony was very responsive and friendly and came out in the evening to fix a lightbulb for us. The hot tub was beautifully clean and a lovely temperature. I have sent links to all my friends and family because you must see this place! Thank you so much, and we will be back! Xx

I loved my stay at Riverside Cabins it was beautiful and peaceful and everything we needed! We are going to make this our annual anniversary because it’s just everything you need for a romantic stay! It was so clean there was absolutely no faults what so ever!

We stayed at Riverside Cabins as a surprise for my husband's birthday. From the time of booking, with help to have balloons in the cabin prior to our arrival, to organising the hot tub to warm up quicker as we were only staying for 1 night, everyone was so friendly, accommodating & extremely helpful! I couldn't recommend this place enough! The location is no more than perfect! It was a freezing cold night (-2 i think) which gave us the beautifully clear skies on which to view the stars from the hot tub. I couldn't think of a better place to have been on such a perfect night! Luckily we live local so will definitely be staying again and I have already recommended Riverside Cabins to my family and friends. The cabin was clean, warm and cosy, well equiped & beautifully decorated with a very comfy bed. Loved it! I would say more but I'm running out of the allocated number of characters! Quick you need to book before you miss out on experiencing such a perfect location! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is an excellent place. Anthony has gone to exceptional lengths to make this the kind of place that he himself would have wanted to holiday in. The grounds are vast, the chalets are well spaced out, there is a sense of real peace and tranquility - the sound of running water from the nearby river, birds chirping, nearby woodland, stand up paddle boards and sit on canoes available to borrow free of charge to meander down the river with. The accommodation itself is very well thought out and very good quality. Even in the compact chalet which we were in there was a large walk in shower and plenty of covered space outside in which we could have our meals and relax. Hot tub is well maintained and was already warmed for our arrival. We came here to have a base from which to take part in the Ultimate Triathlon at Ellesmere. We'll certainly come back and stay here again next time.

Took my partner for her birthday, We had a fantastic time in a really relaxed environment. The lodge was spotless and really homely and comfortable Would definitely recommend to others! Thank you

Sian was a wonderful host, was great to be placed on the small holding and seeing the newborn lambs. Our part was three 40-year-old guys on a walking holiday together. Sian was really friendly and was great to have a couple of chats. Sian was really helpful and gave great recommendations for local activities. The caravan is great fun, great location for Snowdon, Penmachno is a lovely village and the local national trust with William Morgan’s house was equal parts beautiful and interesting. We loved it.

We booked The Cabin by the Other Lake for the first time this year - and it definitely won't be the last. The cabin itself was beautiful, everything has been so well thought out. And the surroundings are stunning - waking to birdsong, seeing swifts & blackbirds at breakfast, newt and tadpole spotting in the afternoon, sitting by the fire looking at the stars at night & hearing the owls. Amy & Dee were welcoming hosts. We could not recommend this place highly enough

I would recommend this site to anyone. the host was super accommodating and very nice. the privacy and view were 5 star
