Also, it is close to the famous beaches of Matala, Kommos, Kalamaki and Agiofaraggo as well as to the archaeological sites of Festos, Gortis and Ag.Triada. There are plenty of activites that you may enjoy, such as biking, hiking, horse riding etc.

Because it’s in the south part of Crete, even in the windy days you can find a beach that’s calm enough for swimming. The Minoan palace of Faistos, the archeological site of Gortyna, the cave-graves of Matala are also only 10 minutes away.
