Amazing location. Inger was very helpful with setting up the hot tub and showing us around. It would have been nice to have more towels - when we requested more we did not hear back.

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans cette cabane très bien équipée ! Le jacuzzi est un vrai plus. Jon et Linda vivent juste à côté du logement, dans cet environnement incroyable. Merci beaucoup !

Our stay at Jon & Linda’s cabin was very enjoyable. It was clean, organized, and the breakfast option was convenient. I would highly recommend staying there if you are driving around Iceland.

Wir waren für eine Nacht hier, mit 6 Personen. Das Haus ist sehr groß und die Aussicht ist traumhaft. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt!

We absolutely loved this location, such a great way to start our Iceland vacation. We were super lucky to see the Northern lights, even with it being so late in April. The sauna was especially nice to have as an amenity. Definitely recommend if you want to explore south Iceland.

Wir haben die Unterkunft sehr spontan aufgrund von Planänderungen gebucht. Wir könnten nicht glücklicher darüber sein! Das Haus war eine sehr tolle Unterkunft. Alles sauber und modern eingerichtet. Sowohl im Bad als auch in der Küche fehlt es an nichts. Zudem wurden wir sehr freundlich in Empfang genommen, Gastfreundschaft wird hier groß geschrieben! Wir können die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen und wenn wir nochmal nach Island kommen, werden wir das Haus gerne nochmal buchen!

I’ve been to Iceland many times and been lucky to stay in various AirBnBs around the country, but Auður’s place really stands out as one of the best! Before even checking in, we had clear instructions and coordinates to get to the location, and then were awed at how lovely and comfortably the place was decorated. Auður truly thought of everything, and even offered to come over to give recommendations to local hikes and hidden gems - almost all of which we had completely to ourselves. The location of the cottage in the surrounding areas was also incredible, especially after Auður shared the history of the landscape. 5 stars is too low of a rating - I would definitely come back again!

Wat een heerlijke plek! De cabin was knus en stijlvol ingericht, met oog voor detail en een gezellige sfeer waar je je meteen thuis voelt. Het uitzicht was simpelweg adembenemend. De ligging is ideaal voor wie de natuur wil intrekken: van watervallen tot zwarte stranden en andere IJslandse toppers, alles ligt op rijafstand. Maar dé absolute highlight voor ons was de gletsjerwandeling – wat een unieke ervaring! Iets wat we niet snel zullen vergeten. Een plek die we met veel mooie herinneringen achterlaten – en waar we met plezier nog eens naar terugkeren!

My family of 5 stayed for 2 nights and we loved the place. They were able to provide a pack-n-play for our 1 yr old and our older two kids had their own room with separate beds which they appreciated. The kitchen offered enough basics along with a grill which allowed us to cook several meals easily while there. My wife and I ended up sleeping on the couch so that the baby could be in one bedroom and not be disturbed, and it was a very comfortable couch. We could have slept in the loft but wanted to be on same floor as the kids. The steps to the loft are very steep and really need to be careful. The surrounding area is so beautiful, and the family had a lot of fun exploring the hills around the home. We also did a day trip out to Diamond Beach and Glacier Lagoon, which were about 1.5 hour drive away. Highly recommend the place for its privacy, tranquility, and beauty.

We travel a lot and have used numerous airbnb's or vrbo's. Agusta's "cabin" is easily in our top 3 ever. It was amazing! Lots of space. Well appointed. Fantastic kitchen and living area. Thought of everything. Loved, loved, loved it. Only slight negative is the long gravel road (+/- 10 mins) to get to the place, but if you want seclusion and darkness for the northern lights, that is an easy price to pay. The town of Vik is 30 to 40 minutes away. That is where you'll find the restaurants and grocery store, so plan ahead. Special bonus was introducing my children to a vinyl record player with a good selection of albums.
