In town to hike McAfee Knob so this was a great little gem that had plenty of room for 3 of us with our packs and gear. The Welcome Book has done all the research for you and is a great starting point if you don’t know where to eat or what to do in the local area. Host was very welcoming and responsive and definitely takes pride in making the home dog friendly as advertised (we didn’t have dogs). Appreciated the strong wi-fi and available streaming services on the Smart TV.

Good place in a good location. Outside the hustle and bustle of the main part of the city, but still close enough to do things. It’s in a quiet neighborhood and has a large basement area with 2 additional bedrooms. Great for my family and I to stay the night while traveling across country.

Loved staying here! Great lake views and water activities. Mariana was very responsive and so kind!

We were blessed to enjoy Betsey's home with part of our family over the Easter weekend for some much needed R&R. The home is exactly as described and the views are incredible! The peaceful cove is perfect for enjoying the sun, relaxing with a good book, kayaking, fishing, etc. The home is large enough for the older kids (we had teens with us) to spread out and have some space of their own and mom & dad to enjoy space as well! The kitchen was perfect for cooking family meals and everyone enjoyed hanging out at the bar while meals were being prepared catching up and talking. We did have an incident with the AC not working properly (We didn't need it until the afternoon so we had no idea until late afternoon it wasn't functioning well) and Betsey had someone there the following morning, even on a holiday weekend to take care of this. Betsey was kind, responsive, and excellent to work with! We will definitely be back and I can't wait to enjoy this peace of paradise again!

Jessi’s Air bnb exceeded my expectations! The house its self was beautiful, and the inside was very well kept up! The back deck made the perfect lounging area, as well as the boat dock! We enjoyed lots of sunshine at the dock! Jessi’s communication was amazing, checking in on us, keeping up to date and her response time made questions answerable within minutes! The location of the house is 15 minutes from restaurants which made it very accessible! The house is perched back into a cove, which made it very peaceful and relaxing! I would highly recommend Jessi’s air bnb!

Oh my gosh, been stateside and abroad using Airbnb and this has to be my FAVORITE place so far; pristinely clean, gorgeous area and incredible host. The beds were so comfortable and the yard was so large my toddler could play his heart out and it's quiet enough I wasn't worried about us being outside dealing with traffic. 20/10 recommend. Can't wait to stay here again!

Jennifer’s place is such a gem. If you like being on the lake and having all the toys and amenities already taken care of for you then this is your place. I have my own kayaks but it was nice to not to have to worry about bringing them. Kayaks for adults and kids, paddle boat, paddle board, beautiful deck, multiple ladders to get out after swimming. They have board games and a karaoke machine that was so fun. The porch was so nice and relaxing. Better than the pictures. You should stay here.

Excellent location for our activities. Visited the National D Day monument along with the Bedford visitor center. The DDay monument is highly recommended

We loved staying at the gem! Very clean and anything you could need. Loved walking the neighborhood and nice places that you can walk to for a bit to eat and drink.

The apartment is very comfortable and cozy feeling. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The kitchen and bathroom were both well stocked with anything we might need. Very nice outdoor sitting and eating area as well. We had such a relaxing time!

Stunning! It had everything we needed and Aaron was extremely accommodating and responsive. I’d definitely stay here again! Didn’t want to go back home :)

Staying with Mr Jane was a pleasure. The location was perfect, the apartment was cozy and spotless. The place was well-equipped and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. This is a peaceful downstairs apartment with private entry and beautiful backyard with swimming pool. Mrs Jane was always available to answer our questions. unforgettable experience! Highly recommended!" 

We can’t say enough nice things about our stay. A definite gem of a find. Walkable to downtown, and a beautiful porch to relax on after a walk. The snacks provided were a nice touch. Plenty of coffee pods as well. Very clean and well maintained historic home. We will definitely return when we come back for more concerts at the Harvester.

We loved staying here! The unit is small but decorated very nice and has all amenities you would need for a weekend away. Check in was easy with clear instructions provided the day before. We had no trouble operating the lock box or using the pin pad to enter the building. The unit was also very clean! The bed is so comfortable that we slept great both nights. We appreciated that Leslie left water and snacks available since we had forgotten to pack any in our rush to leave on the day of our trip. The beach and pergola near the water were nice to sit at in the evening. Although the on site restaurant was a bit pricy, the food was totally worth it. It was the best steak we had in a while! This unit met all of our expectations and we would definitely like to stay here again if we take another trip to SML.

Perfect for dog lovers and lake lovers! I’ve rented various condos at Smith Mountain Lake and several different ones at Stripers Landing, but Shannon’s place is now my new favorite. With a great view, plenty of space and the option to bring the pup - it’s such a treat. Highly recommend.

I loved staying at Mariners Landing in this lovely condo. It was perfect for a peaceful couple of nights away in the "off season" though any season at Smith Mountain Lake is beautiful! I enjoyed the amenities including the indoor pool, game room, and beach area, and had a fabulous meal from Bruno's Clubhouse. The condo was beautifully decorated and I spent a lot of time on the lakefront balcony. Definitely recommend a stay here!

Our quick escape before picking our son up from NC State was relaxing and so enjoyable. Spent a lot of time out on the lake. Temperatures were warmer than the usual April weather, we both have great tans to prove it! We were very comfortable at your place. Perfectly located off of Scruggs gave us the ability to get to our favorite restaurants (Napolis is the best and only a quick walk away). New to us was Black water cafe, totally awesome! We will go there again when we return. We were able to spend time with family that have recently moved to the lake. Our little escape has re energized us, filled our hearts with joy and great memories on the lake. Your place had everything we needed. We were very comfortable. We enjoyed the decor, the layout, everything about your little slice of heaven on the lake. Who could ask for anything more. Thank you sincerely.

Great stay. Cute condo right above restaurant and store. Brought my SUP and used it a lot. Lots to do at Mariner’s landing. Great food and service at The Landing, Bruno’s and Bottles and Bites. State Park 7 minutes away is excellent for hiking. Lots of friendly neighbors! We’re ready to go back!!

Literally the best sleep I’ve had at a place not my home, and I travel a lot! Already booked another stay. Home was immaculate and the view was breathtaking. Thank you again!!
