A Shepherd’s Retreat: Stunning Mountain View

Nestled at the foot of Whitehorse mountain in the midst of the North Cascades, a Shepherd’s Retreat is a working sheep farm. The farm is one of the few historic homestead farms in Snohomish County. Located within the North Cascades there is great hiking amazing views within a half hour drive. The town of Darrington is 5 miles away with restaurants, a pharmacy and grocery. The farmhouse has been recently updated and restored to allow guests maximum comfort, but able to live close to the land.

This cozy riverfront tiny cottage in Index is nestled in the evergreens and overlooks an amazing view of the Skykomish River. The cabin is a mixture of rustic and refined and will be enjoyed by those who want the experience of being in nature while keeping some of the comforts of home. The cabin has full wifi. There is no TV at the cabin but all your streaming options are available via your devices. There is hot running water in the cabin with an RV style toilet and shower.

This fully custom A frame cabin was hand crafted from salvaged old growth timbers and hand milled lumber. Built to the highest quality and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail. The second guest house has 1 queen bed and a full sofa bed. Immerse yourself in nature and enjoy a relaxing getaway surrounded by peaceful amenities. Ideal for a romantic escape or a small group retreat. We have three outdoor cameras pointing at front drive, front door and the creek.
