Authentic and Romantic Lodge close to nature

Authentic and romantic lodge originally built of timber and used for the first time back in 1850 as housing for as many as 10 persons. Situated between the sea and the forest and with the northern light as only light in the dark season this might be the perfect place to enjoy North of Norway. The perfect match for a couple, but will also function very well for up to four persons. It is renovated to a modern standard in 2018, with focus on maintaining the heart and soul of the old building.

It is in the nature surrounded by the ocean, white coral beaches, islets and reefs, you can see this trough the apartment windows. Park right outsidee and indside you really have everything you might need.

Do you want to stay in a beautiful remote place, while still connected to the city? Grøtfjord is located just a 40 min. drive from Tromsø. Close to some of the areas most amazing mountains, fjords, ski and climbing areas. a. Big appartment with 1 bedroom that holds a king size bed and one bunk bed. There is a fold out sleeping couch in the living room. All facilites, towels to firewood are included! A car is needed to get to grøtfjord. The hosts live in a different section of the house.

You can watch the beautiful northern light / aurora borealis from the huge window (10 sqm), sitting in the living room with a cup of tea or coffee in your hand:-) This is a perfect place for tourists who wants to see the northern light, whales in the fjord at winter, hiking/ skiing in the mountains or everything else you want in this lovely city.

Lite og koselig anneks, med akkurat det du trenger for å overnatte. Det ligger fredelig og landlig til på Sommarøy, rett ved stranda. Stranda er flott for små spaserturer både sommer og vinter. Lite lysforurensning, så perfekt for å nyte nordlyset. Annekset har en god dobbelseng og vindu med utsikt til havet. Det er et lite bad, med dusj, vask og toalett. Der er en liten gang for å henge av seg, kjøleskap der du kan oppbevare litt mat og vannkoker for å koke litt kaffe eller te.

The house was finished in 2019. We have choosen exclusive materials and design furniture. You’ll see that it’s made by heart. Helga, the host, lives in the house next door, and is readily available. Dette er vårt eget hjem på Sommarøya, som vi leier ut i korte perioder. Huset er lyst og praktisk, med to soverom, to bad, fiberinternett og gode uteområder. Helt ny hytte på Sommarøy! Det perfekte sted for å se nordlys på vinteren, og strand og fjell på sommeren. Hytten ligger rett ved Sommarøy Arctic Hotell som tilbyr jacuzzi, sauna og restaurant. To stuer og to bad. Hytten er veldig tiltalende, og meget høy standard. Praktfull utsikt, to veranda med havet som nærmeste nabo. 50 meter fra strand. Soverom med dyne, pute og sengklær. Alle bad med håndklær.
