We had wanted to stay in Paje, but travelling on a budget decided to stay in Jambiani and just suffer the short journey to Paje everyday. I feel it was really nice being away from the hustle and bustle, the appartment was one of the best I’ve stayed in in ages, very well equipped and comfortable. The internet was adequate but I would recommend taxing a second sim as I was on VODA and couldn’t get signal without going outside into the road. It’s a short walk to the beach, just 2/3 mins and walking along the beach you can access nice places to eat and drink. I will love to stay again

We spent a perfect week in this small paradise, everything is made to ensure your stay is smooth and comfortable. It combines the advantage of the Airbnb (privacy, space, private pool) with those of a hotel (very good food, daily cleaning). Internet is fast. Beautiful sunsets. Lots of activities in this area of Zanzibar (caves, kayaking, parks etc). I recommend 100%.

If you’re visiting Zanzibar and looking for the ultimate luxury experience, this is the place to stay. The mansion is absolutely stunning, offering everything you and your crew could possibly need for a perfect getaway. The 24-hour security provides peace of mind, and the host is incredibly responsive and friendly, ensuring every detail is taken care of. The property has direct access to a beautiful beach and is conveniently located near the ferry, making it an ideal base for exploring. Truly the best luxury home in Zanzibar—I can’t recommend it enough!

The feeling to live in a big private house with this garden almost like a jungle outside is amazing. The staff takes so good care of you and cook great meals. Jaku helped us with everything. Atm, shop,guids, food, showed us around, visit the villige school and was always on time. It is calm and not so many tourist around. The white beach outside is huge and its a great place for swimming. (I hope they start cleaning it a bit more, it deserve it. Nice restaurants close with wifi! The house is without so don't forget to load down the movie that you would like to see in the evening :) But these days its nice not having wifi all the time. Take the break, its good for us. The house gets a little dark in the evening but I hope there are more lamps next time I come back, because I really to want come back. They have changed the roof so don't get confused. its the same house as in the picture on airbnb. If you want get away from tourist and looking for a calm place just to relax, this is your house. And the house can absolutely take 15-20 persons. The villige behind it is small and not rich but the people that lives there are great and warm. we felt welcomed. So hire this place, meet the people that actually lives and was born in Zanzibar, Big hotels are all over the world, this is so much more. All my best, Siri

Amora Villa was delightful. It provided a nice 2 night respite after our safari, with space to spread out (dining room, living room), rather than sitting on a hotel bed every night. Evaline also kindly arranged for transport to the airport for us - with a 4am pickup.

If you’re looking for a private beach with white sand and security, this villa is ideal for you. I travel frequently and often book Airbnbs, but this villa truly stands out as the best. It’s incredibly beautiful. The guards, the host, and the staff have all been exceptional. It has exceeded my initial expectations. Calister and her team have been incredibly helpful with everything. The attention to detail and the level of service here make it a remarkable experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a luxurious getaway. I’m definitely re booking once I visit Zanzibar again.

We, a group of eight, stayed for eight days, and we had a great time! The house is big, clean, nice and placed right in front of the ocean. The pool was nice and clean. We had a guard and a cleaner every day. If you rent this house and say no to the chef, you lose out half the experience. His food was the best we had anywhere on the island. The place is priced reasonably, I don’t think you will find a better place for the same price on Zanzibar. You will be on the shallow side of the island, but you can get around very easily with a taxi from the area. You never really know 100% what to expect when renting an Airbnb, but I can promise you that you will be happy with this place. Some of the people in my group asked if they could write reviews as well, even. Again, I can’t stress enough how worth it the chef is. It was better than the pictures. Thank you for having us!

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour dans la villa de Kahina, avec mon épouse et mes enfants. Kahina et Ahmed (co-hôte) étaient adorables, Ahmed a toujours été disponible pour nous et pour que notre séjour se passe pour le mieux. Malgré une arrivée tardive, Ahmed a pu nous accueillir. La villa est situé en plein cœur de Nungwi, à 1 minute à pied de la plage et proche de tout restaurant, boutique, taxi .. proche mais jamais perturbé par le bruit. Tout était parfait : déco soignée, propreté, installations … Nungwi vaut le coup d’être visité et la villa de Kahina est un excellent moyen de profiter du séjour.

Ina et Msuli sont des hôtes très agréables, prévenants et disponibles pour faciliter le séjour. Toujours de bon conseil, ils nous ont aidé à organiser nos activités en nous proposant des personnes de confiance, notamment lorsque l'un de nous a été malade. La maison est agréable et les personnes employées sont charmantes, toujours prêtes à rendre service. Un excellent séjour !

Hostly’s team was incredibly flexible and made sure my group had a fantastic 7-night stay—and my birthday celebration was unforgettable! The villa’s view is surreal, and the housekeepers/breakfast makers were lovely—they even baked me a birthday cake and decorated my room! Most reported issues were swifty addressed. I used Hostly's spa services, and the 90-min outdoor massages were heavenly. The beds were comfortable, and I loved the two pools and beach access. Areas for improvement: - Stronger generator to power AC and hot water during outages - Stronger Wi-Fi; spotty connectivity was a challenge without SIM cards - More breakfast variety over a week-long stay - Regular pest control to reduce mosquitoes and flies - Some bathrooms lacked shower-toilet separation, causing water to spread - Prefer communication via Airbnb app for seamless discussions Despite these issues, Hostly’s amazing service and flexibility made our stay incredible. Highly recommend this stunning villa!

Lorenz was very responsive and accommodating, particularly when we expressed concern that the whirlpool is inside and cannot be closed off. we have a 3 year old who sometimes wanders at night and we were worried he would get into the pool while we slept; Lorenz offered to drain and cover the whirlpool for us. the beach is lively and clean and everyone we encountered was very friendly. lots of restaurants nearby on the beach. the house staff is very friendly and helpful. the washer listed as an amenity was not available but the staff took our laundry and washed and dried it for us.

Przepięknie urządzony przestrzenny dom, wszystko jak na zamieszczonych w ofercie zdjęciach. Super czysto. Spory basen, świetnie wyposażona domowa siłownia, piękna tropikalna roślinność wokół. W domu zadbano o każdy szczegół - od kompleksowo wyposażonej kuchni po książki i gry na półkach. Idealne miejsce na relaks. Właściciel bardzo pomocny - szybko odpowiada na wiadomości. Dosonały stosunek jakości do ceny.

Overall, this place was fantastic. It’s a traditional Zanzibar design so it’s not a modern place, but exactly what we wanted. We were thrilled to be there with our large group of two families, including 5 children. Rasheed was excellent and accommodated all of our requests. Food, especially breakfast, was delicious. The beach outside the villa is pristine, with white sand beaches and a beautiful Indian Ocean right outside the doorstep. The private pool was incredible. The villa rental subsidizes the Tamani Foundation and its students, so staying here contributes to the education of local kids. Win win.

We booked both connecting airbnbs. They are identical. The prompt was even better than pictured. Many ig picture worthy spots. There is only ac on the bedrooms so the common areas do get warm. The house manager was extremely friendly and helpful. I recommend getting the chef he did a great job. There is a little convenience store about 10 min walk but other than that there isn’t a whole lot around. The location is an hour drive from The rock restaurant, stone town and the northern beach.

We stayed 5 nights with our family of 5 at Maji Lodge. We had a wonderful time at Natalia’s fantastic place. The location is quiet and peaceful, and if you are looking for a place without too many beach seller and nightlife noise, Matemwe is for you! From booking to finish Natalia and her team were super helpful and responsive, helping with transfers and an other questions that we had. We used her chef service for preparation of breakfast on the first two mornings which was soo worth the little extra money. They had provided the grocery shopping for that as well at a good price. The villa was beautifully decorated and well-equipped. The lady providing the daily cleaning service was so friendly and thorough - the place was spotless and so was the pool area which was looked after and cleaned throughout the day. The 24 hr security team and the generator an extra plus because you do experience power cuts at times, especially in bad weather. I can only highly recommend Maji Lodge!

If you’re looking for a place that combines tranquility, art, and warm hospitality while keeping you close to the action, this is it. This is the one & I’ll definitely be back special thanks to the staff here. they are incredibly friendly, informative, and always eager to help, making the stay even more special. Chef Ahmed’s food is nothing short of mouthwatering.

This was by far the best place we stayed at, which was agreed upon by a group of 6 guests. Check-in was very flexible and the place looked even better than described on the site. The place was cleaned daily and Co host Bakari was very attentive by coming daily to check on us. The surrounding areas were amazing and great food was all around the place. There was nothing that fell short. Overlooking the beach with bbq amenities on the roof top that offered great views all around. This place was phenomenal. Five stars in our view.

Das Haus war super. Wir hatten alles was wir brauchten und konnten zu Fuß am Strand entlang Restaurants besuchen. Die Leute sind unglaublich herzlich. Die Haushälter/innen Majuma, Aysa und Ben waren die aller besten und liebsten. Sie waren unglaublich lieb und hilfsbereit. haben uns täglich ein super leckeres Frühstück und Abendessen zubereitet. Die beiden Tourguides Solomon und Rahmadan haben uns unvergessliche Trips gebucht, alles was wir uns vorgestellt haben wurde ohne Probleme möglich gemacht. Sie standen uns immer zur Seite und haben uns auch einen Fahrservice anbieten. Wir haben alle richtig doll ins Herz geschlossen. Alles in allem lief alles perfekt und reibungslos. Die Villa können wir zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

Super Fantastic Host Extraordinary. I am yet to meet any host of Carol’s capacity. Over and beyond that call of duty. I love to cook on holidays, Carol was my guide that took me to the local market, made sure I wasn’t reaped off by the locals. Went to two different markets. Helped to change currency at the local bureau de change. All around astonishing and outstanding ! Highly recommended and appreciated.

Merci pour ce merveilleux séjour Raphael. La maison est magnifique, elle est conforme à la description. Elle est très bien entretenue, il y a des arbres fruitiers et des bougainviller sur la propriété et c'est magnifique La maison est équipé de tout ce qui vous sera nécessaire pour un séjour relaxant. La piscine est grande et propre, nous en profitions en fin d'après midi après être revenu de la plage (1 min à pied) Issa le gardien est un homme gentil, efficace et en qui l'on peut avoir confiance. Raphael est un hôte exceptionnel, il a répondu promptement à nos nombreuses sollicitation avec toujours un mots gentil et le sourire dans sa voix. Nous espérons le rencontrer un jour et il est certain que nous reviendrons chez lui. Allez y les yeux fermés

Simba und sein gesamtes Team haben sich zu jeder Zeit um einen gekümmert, egal ob es mitten in der Nacht war oder ganz in der Früh. Die Unterkunft hat mit die beste Lage auf Zanzibar, da man sich ganz entspannt am nahegelegenen Strand Sonnen kann oder doch abends mal zum ausgehen in die nächste Stadt fahren kann. Die Unterkunft bietet alles was man braucht. Das Essen ist super. Simba sorgt sich nicht nur um seine Gäste sondert hilft seinen Mitarbeitern bei jedem Anlass, das kriegt man nicht überall. Wir freuen uns solche herzlichen Menschen kennenden zu dürfen.

Wir waren insgesamt zu 5 in der Villa. Für uns war es sehr erholsam und entspannt in der Unterkunft zu wohnen. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Darüberhinaus waren wir innerhalb von 1 Minute an einem traumhaften Strand.

Fantastic villa. It’s not often you get to stay in en enormous house that used to be part of a Sultan’s place. Even after reading all the positive reviews it exceeded expectations. The house is an experience itself and Rafael as a host is very easy to communicate with, always responsive and gave us great tips. If you want to treat yourself to exceptional experience while in Stone Town. Highly recommend!
