Sandra and Rob are always really kind, thoughtful and helpful hosts and it is a pleasure to stay with them.

We didn't want to return home as we had had the perfect stay. This lovely little shepherd's hut surrounded by beautiful farmlands, was just what we'd hoped for and it didn't disappoint! Our hosts Peter and Rachel, were very responsive to our needs, although, gave us our privacy and let us explore the surrounding areas. The hut had lots of little touches to it that made it feel homely and cute, although, functional and great use of a small space. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the hut had heating, wifi and a range of options on the tv after a tiring day of adventures! Excellent stay, would absolutely return, thank you! Penny and Ant real nice people . If you want to unwind and go back to nature this is the place . The views and silence is perfect it’s a remedy . No 42” TV with mobile sockets everywhere this is off grid bliss , fabulous comfy bed in the hut and great shed for cooking , if your a 70s kid you’ll appreciate the shower and toilet , brilliant . Not just an over night stay but an experience of how things should be , regards Alan .

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the hut. Fiona was a really great host who came out to us even though it was late and raining! The hut was super warm on arrival and it has an internal heater and towel rail which is nice. It was also nice to be welcomed with some baked goods which we enjoyed the next morning. The bed was super comfy and we slept really well. The hot tub was nice to relax in… you get all the stuff provided for it which is good and on previous experiences this isn’t always the case. We used the Fire pit and you get some cushions to use which are under the bed and extra blankets which again is really nice. It’s exceptionally well thought out and the lord of added extras make it really nice. Would deffo return

Just returned from yet another stay at The Glade, it never fails to be amazing. My son has spent his past 2 birthdays here with me and explains that it is his favourite place. We love the hammock, woods, quiet, solitude and my sons favourite thing is waking up to the birds singing. This place is truly a haven! Remember to take your binoculars as there are an abundance of birds to see. I noticed this stay that there is a nesting pair of Nuthatches nesting in the tree directly in front of the kitchen window. Spent lots of time watching those go in and out and tidy their nest. The Glade is equipped with everything you need and Juliet is on hand if you need anything else. Lovely place and I cannot say enough good things about it. We will be back again soon. Liane, Roo and Peggy-sue.

Beautiful bespoke shepards hut. Very comfortable with everything you might need. Stunning location within easy reach of Beautiful seaside towns. Lovely personal touches like tea coffee, organic milk and a freshly made cake. Thank you very much

We had a great stay, was relaxing and a great location for walks, sightseeing etc. Mandy and Andy both very friendly and helpful. Would recommend booking ahead for any local pubs/restaurants as they are few and far between within a 10-20 min drive and busy at weekends/peak times, also bring a 12v charger for charging within the hut otherwise there are 3 point plugs 100m across the yard which can be used.

An ideally located cabin with beautiful surroundings it was so peaceful and tranquil we couldn't of asked for any more the cabin was spotlessly clean and very well equipped just sitting in the hot tub with a drink watching the sun set was amazing we will definatly be going back

A great place to stay and explore Dartmoor. The views from the hut are amazing and the hut itself is a fun experience. Simon is a delightful host and always quick to help out - Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Very easy to locate. Beautiful location private and serene surroundings. Hot tub was perfect and the hut was clean and well equipped. Loved my stay here ☺️

Absolutely perfect. Our two young children were nervous to stay away from home, were so at ease they didn't want to leave. Really is a 5* all round. Chickens are bonkers and super friendly. The only negative was we never got to meet Victoria to thank her in person. Which really isn't negative at all 😀 I would have just gushed at her! It's so easy to navigate everything we had no worries in the world. We literally had the entire place to ourselves. Thank you so much. I didn't want to leave either x

Absolutely fantastic stay. Bert’s Hut was wonderful, couldn’t fault it. An oasis. Great tree in shower room! Andrea was fantastic, always contactable, even left us cider and mini eggs for Easter. Helpful booklet in hut. Everything thoughtfully laid out, provided & explained. Very comfortable king size bed. Good log burner. Brilliant fire pit for cooking in evening. Peaceful, our own beautiful meadows even. Wonderful location, easy to walk to local pubs, Yandles for breakfast. Stayed 2 nights but certainly not enough wished we had booked more. We cannot wait to return. Tom & Andrea lovely hosts. Brought painting & stone carvings too. Highly recommended. 🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐️

We had such a lovely stay at the hut. The place was clean and tidy. It’s such a great location and so quiet. We would definitely stay again next time we’re in the area. Georgina was such a lovely host, always very responsive to questions we had. Would definitely recommend staying.

We recently stayed at Andreas Shepherd's Hut in Cruxton, and it was a delightful experience. Nestled in a serene rural setting, the hut offers an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The accommodation was charmingly rustic yet comfortably modern and the interior was well-appointed with thoughtful touches that made it feel cosy and welcoming. The bed was really comfortable and the small kitchenette was equipped with everything needed for a self-catering stay which we made the most of both mornings and evenings. The hut's location was perfect. Surrounded by apple trees and rolling hills, it's ideal for leisurely walks, relaxing outside with the fire pit or enjoying the private space alongside the river. The lack of light pollution in the area allowed us to view the Milky Way when stargazing one evening which was the perfect addition to our stay. Andrea was super accommodating, ensuring that everything was in order and even dropped off a homemade Dorset apple cake!

Great little space for a weekend away - secluded and quiet, we really enjoyed the wood fired hot tub in which we spent the evening looking up at the stars! The local recommendations were great too - went for a pie at a local pub which was brilliant. The surroundings of the field and farm animals + plenty of wildlife made it a very peaceful stay. The cabin itself is well equipped and the how-to guides for everything are very clear. Lovely touch of a prosecco bottle to arrive to as well. Rebecca was a great host and offered plenty of suggestions for things to do in her written guide. The location is very convenient for the Jurassic coast by car. Would definitely come back again!

Thank you for letting us stay in your delightful shepherd's hut. It was a really special place and private. It was a great setting for the dogs which made it extra relaxing for us.

I don't think mine and my partners stay here will be beatable by anything we book for ourselves in the future. We're already planning our next visit. 10/10 all the way through. We absolutely loved our hosts and our Shepherds hut. Beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, just perfect.

Eine der tollsten Unterkünfte. Wunderbar gelegen an der Jurassic Coast, ruhig und mit direktem Blick aufs Meer. Schön eingerichtet mit allem, was man braucht. Die Kinder liebten den Pool, das Trampolin, die Playstation und die Fasane, die uns täglich besucht haben. Über den Coast Path erreicht man in wenigen Minuten Lyme Regis, sodass wir das Auto gar nie brauchten. Wir kommen gern wieder.

What can I say?! Just amazing. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Fantastic host. Every little detail thought of and such a high standard. Loved everything about this stay. Will definitely recommend and more importantly definitely be back. Thank you so much Lou, it is simply perfect.

100% recommend staying here. The pictures are exactly what it’s like in person and more! The attention to detail was amazing, everything you need for your stay is there. They even had hot chocolate and marshmallows for a cosy night around the fire-pit. Communication with the host was very formative, clear and in timely manner. We would definitely return as it is the perfect relaxing getaway but also walks/restaurants close. Thankyou so much!

This cabin was an absolute delight and we loved staying there. It's tucked away in a location that feels totally private and secluded, despite being easily accessible once you've found it. The hut itself is cosy and small, but beautifully built, spotlessly clean and very cleverly designed to maximise the space. I stayed with my two children and it fitted us perfectly with them in the double bed and me on the futon. Even with torrential rain on one day, the large veranda with its table and rocking chairs expands the space and we never felt the slightest bit cooped up. The hut is off-grid but doesn't lack any amenities or home comforts, and the storage is particularly cleverly designed so that even with 3 peoples' worth of camping gear from the previous few days spent on Dartmoor, we were able to tuck everything away out of sight and keep it all feeling tidy and cosy. Beautiful forests all around, a fire pit and a stream just nearby. We loved it and are already planning to return.

The location of the hideaway was stunning, very private and overall very relaxing. Check in instructions were clear, directions were clear. The hut itself was very clean and had all the appliances that we needed. When we arrived the Hot tub was already filled and heated with clear intrusions on how to use. This little getaway was exactly what we needed to decompress and relax in the country side. Surrounded by birds, wild life and various animals. Jeni was very helpful, quick and responding, welcoming and friendly. Overall a fan experience, would definitely recommend and come back again.

Ruby retreat was perfect. Wonderful location, peaceful and private. The shepherds hut was just as described and came with everything you need including some fresh bread, eggs and milk. would definitely recommend

Sally's place was the perfect getaway! If you're looking for somewhere that will be enjoyable for a dog who can be nervous of other dogs, this is a gem! No loose dogs, very secure garden, I could relax on the lounger or in the hot tub without worrying where he is or what he's doing. Sally is very dog savvy and has rescue dogs herself so was really understanding of my boy's needs which meant so much. The cabin was perfect for the 2 of us and had everything we needed in terms of facilities and ways to cook, everything thoughtfully done and a beautiful sunrise view over the fields. Great food options nearby, if you're vegan definitely check out Rob's Fish Bar for a really good vegan menu. Thank you Sally for a relaxing stay, we will definitely be back!
