If you don't feel like cooking up a feast take a break and dine in our cozy restaurant. Please note that we're a 5hr drive from Milford Sound. Not suitable for children under 10. Only 10mins south of Arthur's Pass Village, on SH73, the Ecolodge overlooks the expansive Waimakariri River and mountains of the National Park. Experience "off grid" living at its best on a small environmental footprint. To stay costs $175 per night for bed and homemade breakfast (for 2 people). You have the option to book up to 4 people in your group, as I have two Queen rooms available. I'm more than happy to share a 2-course meal + wine/beer for $35 pp and spend time sharing stories.

Since the 1920s the Poolburn Hotel has been the meeting place of the Ida Valley.
