Amazing break away from London city life. Amazing host and the property is flawless. Highly recommend getting a supermarket delivery to the property.

A beautiful space suited perfectly to the six adults in our group. The property's quiet rural location suited us, and we had everything we needed for our break - ample crockery/cutlery, kitchenware and utensils, towels and bedding etc. The large kitchen/diner and private outdoor space was perfect for casual dining, game-playing and relaxation.

We had a wonderful stay at Taw Valley Cottage. Johnathan and Susannah were great hosts, and with really friendly, helpful communication, we felt welcomed even before we arrived. Johnathan greeted us upon our arrival at the cottage and gave helpful information about the cottage and the area, which was all backed up with more information inside the cottage. The cottage was lovely, with beautiful views. It was very well equipped, with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, and the cottage was warm. It is an ideal place for a restful holiday, but there are plenty of places to visit within easy driving distance. I would be more than happy to stay again, either in this cottage or one of the other two on the farm. It is well worth a visit. Johnathan and Susannah rate as some of the best hosts we have ever used. Thanks for a great time.

Our second time staying here and we loved it just as much as the first time. A home away from home! The cottage is lovely, cosy, and clean with plenty of space as a family of 6 and a dog. Giles was really helpful and we loved all the local recommendations and walks. The location is perfect. Can’t wait to return next year!

The views from Cider Barn are so beautiful. We watched a barn owl hunting over the fields at dusk and dawn and the sound of a tawny owl whit wooing as I was going to sleep was magical! The living room / kitchen / dining is light and open plan and when I was there the sun was streaming in from sunrise to sunset. Loved watching the sunset with the owl hunting! Really enjoyed my stay here. It's an old barn - so the floor boards are a bit creaky but it is a special place.

This is a wonderful place to stay! The accommodation was perfect and Sandra had thought of all the little extras including the best homemade biscuits! The little garden is just lovely and having the sheep, goats, pigs and chickens nearby to show to the children is such a bonus! The sense of peace and the beautiful views make this one of the loveliest places I have ever stayed :)

End Barn was delightful and so cosy. Andrea was the perfect host - very friendly, helpful and popped in to make sure everything was ok. Great directions. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely mini break in the Linhay. Sarah welcomed us when we arrived and there was a bottle of wine and some milk in the fridge which was very thoughtful. The cottage was very well equipped and had everything we needed and more! Gorgeous original, quirky features and very nicely presented. Excellent local pub with a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere, plus delicious food. Win, win! Most of all it was very private and peaceful. Would love to stay again 😃

We had a lovely short stay at Jenny Wren! The interior is super cosy and we felt at home right away. We had the pleasure of meeting Sue, who is such a welcoming and caring host. It was so peaceful with the ever-changing view of the sky out the huge window, and the location was perfect for a relaxing stay. We would wholeheartedly recommend Jenny Wren and look forward to staying again one day. Thank you for having us!

We had a fantastic night at the Shippon. We loved the style of the property and felt very relaxed whilst there. We got some nice food from Bens farm shop which is just 10 minutes drive away. We enjoyed a couple of nice circular walks from the village along lanes and bridleways. The plant nursery up the road is worth a visit if you enjoy gardening/plants.

I booked the horse box for my fiance birthday we arrived Just after 5pm Denise was there to greet us. the whole experience was amazing. I would 100% stay again.

A really cosy and comfortable cottage in a beautiful location in east Devon. Was very simple to get to Sidmouth and Budleigh Salterton, and there was also lovely areas to walk arouns right by the cottage. Cottage nicely spacious and had everything we needed.

I stayed at the Stables with my dog Maisie and we enjoyed a very chilled, peaceful time in lovely surroundings. The Stables look just like the pictures and Leanne is a very responsive and helpful host, with quick answers to questions I had at the time of my booking and in the run up to and during my stay. Knowing I was bringing my dog, there was a very thoughtful arrival hamper with scones, strawberries and cream for me and some dog cookies for Maisie, which certainly were very much appreciated by us both! The house guide is also very helpful and informative. St Marychurch and Babbacombe Downs with Oddicombe beach are within easy walking distance and have a number of dog friendly places to stop for a coffee and a cake. Having reviewed lots of places to stay in Dartmoor National Park, Claire's place stood out immediately and this was evident throughout out stay. The location is fantastic and Claire's attention to detail with handy notes and fantastic communication was superb! A perfect little getaway spot just what we were after.

My friend and I loved our stay at Monty's. The house is beautiful and everything is in its place and spotlessly clean. Maria had left us some really useful walking guides, and one of them led us to possibly the most stunning walk we had ever been on (Salcombe to Bolt Head). It was such a lovely gesture to find a yummy chocolate cake waiting for us on arrival, too. The bath was also a real treat, particularly after a long coastal hike! Thank you very much for having us, Maria, we hope to be back again! X

The accommodations were very well appointed and the host went above and beyond by leaving plenty of goodies for us to enjoy during our stay. Everything was very clean and modern and was very roomy. The host’s husband came to meet us nearby when our SatNav lead us astray and took us to the wrong place. A very lovely place to stay especially if you like peace and quiet.

Owl Cottage was a delightful place to stay for a few nights. The Cottage was well equipped with some lovely touches of full sized handwash, bath & shower gel and conditioner in both bathrooms. The bathroom downstairs has a walk in shower with an excellent flow, whilst the bathroom upstairs has a bath. The kitchen was well equipped which included a coffee maker. The terrace off the living area was beautifully situated for the daily sun and evening sunshine, although sadly we didn’t see much of this during our stay. We chose to eat out on two evenings locally around 10 minutes drive away, and we can thoroughly recommend The Swan in Brampton and the Bittescombe Inn in Upton. Both had limited menus but the food and service were excellent and busy, just thankful we pre booked. If you want to use Netflix on the TV remember your login. The communication with Alex was excellent. She was very responsive with any questions and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed.

What a wonderful stay! Such a cosy, charming barn conversion in a really beautiful location. The bed was huuuge and so comfy and the barn had everything we needed! It was great for our 18 month old as it was all ground floor and lovely outside space to run around in. And the cherry on the cake was how friendly and helpful Gail and Mark were - so approachable and kind, even giving us recommendations of where to go and the best route to take. Can't recommend enough!

Fantastic place to stay! Our family loved every second and was even more wonderful than what we were expecting especially as this was booked for a surprise birthday weekend away. This was a fabulous cottage for our holiday - it had everything we needed and was really clean and comfortable. The activity barn was great for the whole family. It’s a great location for exploring north Devon and the hosts were really friendly and helpful. The option to use all three cottages if you had a bigger family get together would be perfect - we would highly recommend Bowood Farm Cottages ❤️

My stay at Frances’ was absolutely lovely- she made us feel very welcome from the offset! The place is very charming and homely- I’ll be back for sure if I return to this neck of the woods!

We had the most wonderful stay at Venetia’s place – she gave us such an incredible welcome, it honestly set the tone for the whole trip. When we arrived, there were lovely little touches waiting for us – milk in the fridge, a bottle of wine, and even later she shared toys and books for the kids, which they absolutely loved. Venetia’s warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home from the very beginning. The house itself is absolutely stunning – the photos really don’t do it justice. Every detail was perfect, and the setting is just magical. Nestled on a peaceful farm, we were surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature, with calves and lambs nearby – the kids were in heaven. It was the perfect blend of peace and adventure, and an idyllic spot for a family holiday. We couldn’t recommend it more – thank you, Venetia, for everything!

Super stay at this lovely cottage. Great upstairs /downstairs layout with huge space upstairs for socialising. Had everything we needed for a super easy stay for 4 adults and 2 dogs and kitchen was well stocked for cooking at home and enjoying the space. Enjoyed not being hit with a long list of house rules, super relaxed hosts and very dog friendly. Would definitely stay again as great area for exploring Devon.
