This is downtown campus for students. There are bars, restaurants, UVA book stores, UVA gear stores, pharmacies, and Ragged Mountain Running shop.

Try the White Spot for a Gus Burger, or the Virginian--Charlottesville's oldest restaurant. College Inn and Crozet Pizza are also both locally owned and good. Student bars and nightlife as well.

The corner is right adjacent to UVA. You'll find a lot of places to eat and drink in this Pedestrian area of town. I'd recommend not wearing Virginia Tech apparel here though.
