Visitors are all welcome to the Burren National Park. It is a place of tranquillity and quiet. There are five marked walking trails in the Park that take you through many different fascinating and beautiful habitats, such as species-rich limestone grasslands, hazel/ash woodlands , limestone…
The Visitor Centre in Corofin has a great exhibit on the natural history of the Burren and from here you can get a shuttle bus into the National Park. The centre also has lots of information on walking routes in the park and the shuttle bus links to the walks.
Plants live here that exist nowhere else including some thought to be extinct!

“Ailwee cave is Europe's largest cave and tours run all the time. The bird of prey centre is right beside it and presentations on the birds run in tandem with the tours of the cave. Children (and adults) have a chance to hold the birds and see them in hunting flight. There is also a great cheese shop here. Only 20 minutes drive from the cottage. ”

“The MOST famous of all Pubs in Doolin is the legendary Gus Oconnor's. Made famous by the Russell family this place provides nightly music and lively weekend day sessions, the food is top class and always consistent. It can get quite busy but there is ample table space with a little patience.”

“Lahinch Beach is located a short drive from the Cliffs of Moher and is therefore very popular with locals and tourists alike. The flooding tide makes it ideal for surfing, sea kayaking and kite surfing and there are a few surfing schools in the local area. Lahinch is a popular resort town with many restaurants and accommodation. The beach is lifeguarded during the bathing season and more information can be found on the noticeboard located at the beach. This beach has received the International Blue Flag award for 2019.”
