This is a tried and true local favorite. Weekend brunch gets very busy so go early or expect a wait! All American diner-style food served and a comfortable, cozy, and friendly atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Right on the town square!
Great for an old school diner breakfast! Best pancakes in town! Plus omelets and traditional breakfast items! Also great for lunch!
Wimberley Cafe has been around for some time, but it got a recent makeover when Chef Jay bought it and upgraded both the decor and the menu. The food is solid and it's a popular breakfast spot!
Pancakes, migas, burgers, chicken fried steak, The Wimberley Cafe is a great choice all day long. Perfect location on The Square.
Chef Jay and his staff serve skillfully prepared breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.

“Best tree-top deck. Along the road to or from Jacob’s Well, it's lovely to stop for a fresh mojito among the branches of the huge oak tree at Cypress Creek Reserve Rum Distillery. David and Laura Watson started distilling rum in 2009 and produce their barrel aged, crystal and aged vanilla bean rum right here in Wimberley. Take the tour or just take a break in the trees with a handcrafted cocktail, spiked with rum made right here in our little piece of heaven. ”

“Slightly upscale dining (outdoor, covered seating only); locals favorite. Currently serving a limited (pandemic) menu, but everything here is top notch. Beer and wine only. Expect a wait. Ask to sit in the treehouse. Favorites: wedge salad, chicken and grits, the trout and the curry; ancho chile terrine for dessert. Closed Monday and Tuesdays and Sundays after 3pm. Tucked back away from the road at RR 12 and River Rd. is The Leaning Pear, one of Wimberley’s nicest spots for lunch or dinner. Favorites here are wood fired pizza, chicken and grits, vegetable curry and crab cakes, but for me their wedge salad with creamy blue cheese, crisp tortilla strips, smoky bacon and sweet, chewy dried figs is simply the best. Built on a bluff over Cypress Creek with a large outdoor patio, there’s plenty to like about this place. Everything on the menu at Leaning Pear is good (check out the frozen ancho dark chocolate terrine!) and if you’re lucky enough to be here mid-week, take advantage of half-price bottles on Wine Wednesday. ”

“Best breakfast taco's in town. Call ahead for your order. It's only 4 minutes down the road from the Lazy Lavender so a great spot to pick up some yummy Mexican food.”

“If you are up for a little exercise, head on out to Mount Baldy and climb the 218 steps to the top. Once at the top of the 218 rock steps, you rewarded with a 360-degree view of the Wimberley valley. ”
