Go for beautiful forest scenery hike around the lakes or a great place to go for a swim/paddle/walk/hike

Easy walking trail around a very picturesque lake close to the city, but with that out-of-the-city feel. Be sure to pack a lunch as there are many nice picnic spots along the way! Swimming and a sandy beach in summer time. Lake is much warmer than the ocean!

Just the best for evening and morning walks. I promise, it really is. Easy parking, safe. Summertime beach sun bathing as well.

This 843 hectare park is known as Canada’s first nature sanctuary. Lots of trails and even some mountain biking. For the latter, you can connect from the trail right at the end of our street via Stewart Mountain. It is a bit of trek on foot if you are up for the adventure.

“Another Canadian castle. Both built and owned by the same family. Site of many TV shows and movies nowadays and part of the Royal Roads University site, but if they're not filming something it is open to the public. Great views over the water. They hold all sorts of events her throughout the year from fairs to highland games. 29.1 km or a 30 minute drive away.”
