Its the best, from the dusty pink decor and cactus plants to the Watermelon 'ritas! The fried chicken and waffles are insane and its location seems so bizarre, on the colourful Mare street!

Innovative hipster food - haven't seen anything healthy on the menu so have to limit my visits to once a month, but its very worth it every time.

“If you’re a dessert person then you won’t want to miss The Hackney Pearl, with its homey feeling and its perfect shabby-chic atmosphere. The coffee is good, the service is courteous, and their menu is delightfully accessible to vegetarians and vegans. The restaurant has a lovely tradition of offering ‘This Month’s Cocktails’; this month try the refreshing ‘The Black Pearl’ that consists of Frangelico and Myers rum shaken with Beavertown Black Betty IPA. The Hackney Pearl is situated in the creative heart of London, The Wick. It includes not only the highest concentration of artists, but also musicians, writers, and performers, and is home to many arts festivals. Don’t forget to visit the nearby Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, which holds various events throughout the year. Recommended dish: chocolate & prune tart with hazelnut biscuit crust & almond milk sorbet”
