The National Zoological Park, commonly known as the National Zoo, is one of the oldest zoos in the United States. It is part of the Smithsonian Institution. The best-known residents are the giant pandas. FREE ENTRY!
Few neighborhoods are walkable to the National Zoo - in 15 mins you can get there! The zoo is huge and free and a great time on a nice day.
