while the food takes awhile to arrive, it is worth the wait. One of the best steaks in town, as well as fresh fish and barbeque. A full bar and a gorgeous view keeps you happy while you wait. Worth the drive out the road, paved all they way, it's at the only stop sign on the Chiniak-Pasagshak road, if you go straight through you're in their parking lot. An added attraction is when the bulls butt each other in the head while crossing the highway. They close at 9, and are only open Wednesdays-Sundays from May-October, call ahead if you're more than 2 people and want a table. Very popular summer spot.

For those of you who decide to drive out towards Pasagshak or Chiniak, the Olds River Inn provides food and drink a ways away from the town of Kodiak. Their brewed beer is said to be top-notch, although I have not personally tried it.
