Had everything you would need for a trip. Kayaks were great for James River, and the location was very private and secluded.

Comfy beds decent pillows. Quite small but cozy. The included breakfast at the restaurant is nice.

Stayed here for a 30th birthday girls' trip- the location was a quick drive away from hiking and vineyards, and around the corner from a convenient store and cute little creamery! We loved the decor, hot tub, and ample sleeping arrangements. The hosts were communicative and flexible when we asked to extend our stay. Would recommend!

We enjoyed our stay! The location is centrally located near breweries and restaurant. Beautiful area and the house was clean and had everything we needed. We hope to come visit again soon.

My colleague and I stayed here for work, but we both agreed it would be a nice place to vacation! The house was very cozy and clean, and our host Nichol was kind and welcoming. Definitely a nice place to get away for a while!

We had such a great stay! Our family really enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub after our days of hiking. We appreciated the great small touches including the s'more ingredients, the delicious brownies, and seperate towels for the hot tub. The backyard is so peaceful. The house was very spacious and clean for a family of 4 that included 2 college aged kids. I highly recommend this place. Thank you so much!

I booked this Airbnb for my boyfriend’s birthday!! They even hung a “Happy Birthday” banner! It was a great property! Very clean and very close to restaurants! We had a wonderful time!

We enjoyed this cabin so much. It's so private and quaint. There is no cell service here, and we enjoyed it so much. Such an amazing opportunity to "unplug". There is wifi of course, and we did utilize Netflix. The screened in porch was so wonderful, and we enjoyed having lunch outside and listening to the river. There were so many places to hike, and spots to fish. Exactly what we were looking for on our weekend getaway. Host was super friendly. Would love to visit again.

We had such a wonderful stay! The cottage had a peaceful, garden-like charm that made it feel like a true retreat. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful—everything we could possibly need was provided, and the attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. It was cozy, comfortable, and felt instantly welcoming. One of our favorite features was the wood stove. It added so much warmth (literally and emotionally!) and made the evenings feel extra special. We’d absolutely stay again and highly recommend this space to anyone looking for a calm and cozy getaway.

The pink cottage is nestled in nature, but also in the city. We were able to head toward UVA campus or out toward Ivy with ease. The place is both quirky and quaint - an artistically steeped homebase.

Charles's cottage was just as described and depicted in the profile. It is surrounded by beautiful farmland and close to lots of local attractions, including vineyards and breweries. Very peaceful and quiet.

We loved this place! ONLY drawback was groceries and shopping other than around blue ridge parkway area non existent

Absolutely beautiful river home and incredible hosts. The Treehouse is loaded with high end, well thought out amenities and decor giving it the perfect river cottage feel. The property grounds are meticulously kept and the outdoor sitting areas are perfect for river-side lounging. We can’t wait to book again. Will be back before the summer ends! We took numerous trips last year trying to find the ideal cabin getaway and this is it! Perfect weekend getaway for those who love outdoors and to unwind on a river. My girls caught their first fish and they love the shallow dock for easy access in the river

This was a great place for a getaway. House was equipped with everything you need plus extras like games and books. We also had a binder with a history of the place and local recommendations for food and attractions. It was bigger than I expected and was very comfortable. Karen was a lovely host and gave us excellent pointers so we arrived with no issues. I would definitely go back.

Fairwood Cottage was a wonderful place to stay! A quick 10-minute drive to Charlottesville, but in a quiet rural setting. The cottage was super clean. very comfortable, with everything we needed and lots of special touches. We enjoyed sitting outside to relax at the fire bowl after a day visiting Charlottesville. We’ve visited the area several times but this is our favorite by far and we will be back! Thank you for the hospitality!

The accessibility ramp to the beautifully landscaped house was a huge help to my Mother who uses a walker. The bathroom isn't next to the bedroom so it was a little bit of a walk for her but it was big and had a handrail at the toilet which really helped her. The house was big enough for us and had everything we needed. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed celebrating Easter weekend with meals and board games at the big kitchen table. Also everything we needed for food preparation and serving was there with a good sized refrigerator for storing leftovers. The beautiful yard was great for an egg hunt and corn hole games, which we brought with us. At night it was nice to sit at the firepit roasting s'mores or just looking at the stars.

Feels like coming home every time we visit. I still can't believe there's a entire WATERFALL just a few hundred feet from the cozy house. If you open the bedroom window at night you can hear the water. And the stars are incredible at night! I can't wait to visit again

Beautiful place. Door separated the two bedrooms and baths so it was perfect to share with another couple. Large kitchen. Best was the back sun porch and outside patio overlooking a small babbling brook and back yard with birds and wildlife. So peaceful yet near everything.
