This magical treehouse was built by Pete Nelson 25 years ago and recently renovated with help from his crew. It sits in living trees on our 5 acre property next to its own little pond and fountain. Woodpecker Glen

Woodpecker Glen is a brand-new guest house in one of Washington's temperate rain forests. The house has a cabin feel with cathedral ceiling and open floor plan plus lots of natural light in a peaceful, quiet location. The back yard is Tolt MacDonald Park, 574 acres, a favorite for mountain bikers and trail walkers alike. All of this and still less than 11 miles to Redmond (think Microsoft), 26 miles to Seattle downtown. Winter skiing and summer alpine hiking are only 20 to 50 miles away.

Quiet Mother-in-law apartment on hobby farm

The apartment is attached to the back of my residence. It is centrally located, 10 minutes from Duvall and Carnation and 30 minutes from Redmond, Woodinville, Monroe and Snoqualmie. The driveway is gravel so be prepared for a little dirt and/or dust outside. There are hiking and biking trails, as well as Tolt and Snoqualmie rivers for outdoor enthusiasts. I have started a hobby farm with goats, chickens and ducks for you to view. Therefore you can expect dirt and odors common to a farm.

The studio is in a detached garage that overlooks beautiful sunrises, the barn, pastures & the occasional deer stopping by to say "Hi". When we began construction of the A Frame we aimed to curate a luxury escape where you can transcend the monotony of the day to day. This fully custom A frame cabin was hand crafted from salvaged old growth timbers and hand milled lumber. She is built to the highest quality and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail.
