What a stunning house in a stunning location - Jamie was most helpful with organising our stay and the house was spotlessly clean! :)

We can honestly say we have never felt so chilled and at home at any property we have rented. This was a last minute find but was genuinely worth it. Clear and concise directions to get to property and once there no need to get in your car again. Alasdair was very quick with answering queries about how to more than anything. Local shops and restaurants are on your doorstep so if you forget anything pop to local Co-op an approximate 10 minute walk. The beach is so sandy (yes that's a funny thing to say but important in the UK) - nice and clean and the locals are genuinely happy and engaging, must be something in the water as the locals all meet early morning for a swim. The house is great. Good size kitchen and living room, and the bedrooms were big. Bathrooms clean and well stocked with shower gel and shampoo and importantly toilet paper. Lounge has a log burner which is easy to use and a tv with good reception. A great experience to be re-enjoyed

We hebben erg genoten van de tijd die we in dit huis verbleven. Het uitzicht is prachtig, de locatie centraal in Portree en perfect voor uitstapjes op Skye. Het huis is schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Heel luxe dat beide slaapkamers (met heerlijke hoofdkussens) een badkamer hebben. Het huis is gelegen aan het eind van een doodlopend straatje, direct aan kiezelstrand/zee (afhankelijk van het getijde). Er is een voortuin met privéparkeerplaats. Het enige waar we wat aan moesten wennen zijn de toeristen die foto's van de baai komen maken vanuit de voortuin/parkeerplaats, maar dat brengt ook wel een leuke reuring en een gevoel van trots dat je mag verblijven op zo'n bijzondere plek.

Pictures of the view from the main living room/dining room was what drew me to the property and the reality did not disappoint. The house was very homely, comfortable and Isabella was friendly and accommodating. I especially appreciated that there was plenty of comfortable seating for the number of people the house can accommodate to sleep. The dishwasher did not work during our visit which was an inconvenience as we were a large family group who cooked regularly during our visit, so clearing up took significantly more time than we would have liked, but once Isabella was made aware, she did not hesitate to get it seen to as soon as possible. Unfortunately it could not be repaired during our visit but I cannot fault Isabella's reponse to the situation, it was just unfortunate. I would definitely recommend the property; it is clear a lot of thought has gone into the property to make it as comfortable as possible for guest. Thank you.

This place exceeded our expectations! Such a beautiful location right on the water! And walkable to the restaurants and nature/scenery! The inside of the house was bigger than expected! 4 sleeping rooms for the 4 adults in our party perfect giving us each our own space. Huge kitchen and family room. The location is just amazing! Plockton was a great location to spend 1 day exploring the Isle of Skye and then another day exploring Inverness. It’s so centrally located to so many beautiful places! There are only a few places to eat dinner in Plockton and all required a reservation or they don’t have availability, just a heads up. You can not beat how beautiful this area is! Angie was great. Very easy check in and responded to communication quickly! Will stay again when we are in the area!

Beautifully converted stone house in a stunning, peaceful location with sweeping views across the water. The sitting room and kitchen are upstairs to make the most of the scenery, with large picture and Velux windows flooding the space with light. The house is cosy, with thick stone walls, an Aga upstairs and central heating downstairs—upstairs is warmer, but it’s where you’ll want to spend time anyway. The conversion is sympathetic and blends well into the landscape, with the large window barely visible from the land side. The kitchen view made washing up a pleasure! Access is via a typical narrow Skye road, but there’s easy parking for two cars. The host was responsive and helpful. Remote and peaceful, this is a perfect base for walkers and nature-lovers—but bear in mind it’s a long drive to other parts of Skye.

Felt like home. We stayed at Braes Retreat for four weeks and we loved every minute. The location is great for travelling around Skye as it’s pretty central but it still has that quiet isolation that most people come to Skye looking for. The house has everything you need, it’s very clean and comfy and Iain and Ingrid are great hosts to help you out with any issues. As all the other reviews say, the garden is spectacular, the views are beautiful and it’s generally a really lovely place to stay.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in Katies Haus sehr genossen, auch wenn es nur kurz war. Alles war sehr sauber und komfortabel. Mit Katie zu kommunizieren war einfach und die Anweisungen im Haus klar und verständlich. Sie ist eine sehr aufmerksame Gastgeberin. Portmahomack ist ein schönes Dörfchen am Meer und es hat alles, was man für einen Aufenthalt in Katies Haus braucht. Wir können diese Unterkunft wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Our stay at the cottage was great! It was such close proximity to Fort George and the beach which we enjoyed walking along as the sun set. It was well equipped and we so enjoyed our time.

Brilliant lovely place at a beautiful location made your stay so peaceful and relaxing..

There was everything we needed; towels, toilet rolls, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, utensils, coffee, tea, cooking oil. The beds are very comfortable but are high. Each bedroom is spacious and very nicely decorated, with sufficient wardrobe/drawer space and lamps. There is a shower room downstairs which is great for anybody staying in the ground floor bedroom. The location was great, only metres from the beach and with plenty of street parking. Overall it’s a great place and we will be visiting again.

Spent Easter with family 7 of us. Perfect place, exceeded expectations. Fabulous location, large very well equipped kitchen everything we needed and everything worked. Nice area in front of house to sit. Swimming and kayaking from the beach was so convenient as was shop, pub and community centre for coffees. Brewery a longer walk but well worth it. Overall would consider staying again for this area.

The Garden Cottage was lovely. There is the ruins of a castle built in 1179 in the backyard. Katie was friendly and responsive. I can't say enough good things about the cottage, the land, the espresso machine and the surrounding nature. I hated leaving.

A wonderful stay in Nairn, the house is perfect for bigger groups, lots of space and so comfortable and homely. The location is amazing, a stone’s throw away from Nairn’s gorgeous beach and walkable to the shops/high street. The host was friendly and very responsive. Highly recommend!

On a quiet road sits this home. Clean home, well equipped kitchen, amazing views out the front door. Glad we found this place.

Alistair’s place is fantastic. It is spacious for 6 of us. The kitchen is well equipped. The location is great within a walking distance to restaurants and also a couple of minute drive to the local supermarket. Would love to stay here again next time we are in Skye.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Stephen’s cottage. The location is stunning, right by the water with breathtaking views, and the house itself is warm, beautifully kept, and very well equipped. We were so comfortable and impressed by the thoughtful touches throughout the home. Stephen was a fantastic host that responsive, kind, and incredibly helpful from start to finish. It was a peaceful and memorable trip, and we’ll definitely stay here again next time we come to the Highlands. Highly recommended!

Had a fantastic couple of nights. Relaxing, great views, and the property was very nice. Would definitely stay there again. Log fire was easy to use, and provided a great focal point in the sitting room.

Lovely little place in the most peaceful of locations. Modern and well kept interiors, extremely comfortable and everything needed was thought of. A brilliant home away from home. A short 10 min walk to the dreamy beach and a lovely little garden to sit out in when the weather is fine. Kenny was super friendly and made it so easy. Highly recommend, we’ll be back.

I love Ullapool and I've been going there for 35 years. Over that time, we've stayed in lots of different houses and this was one of the best, especially for the two older couples in our party. Perfectly located within the village, just right for accessing the harbour, pubs, restaurants and the small supermarket. There was adequate off-road space for our one car. Inside, the house was clean and characterful. Instructions were detailed and helpful. Kitchen was well supplied, including quite a few spices and other essentials thoughtfully left by previous visitors. Access to the two upstairs bedrooms would be a little tricky for some visitors, but we found the small bathroom up there and the views across the street and beautiful rear garden to be charming. Beds were comfortable. One evening we got a nice warm fire going in the small living room. Otherwise, we enjoyed the nicely equipped dining room, complete with books and brochures about the local area.

Nice and spacey appartment in the middle of Broadford We (4 adults, 2 kids) spent to nice days in the appartment: very spacey, well equipped and cosy! The kids loved the garden, the private parking is very helpful.

This house is, by far, the most thoughtfully prepared place we've stayed in. It's beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable, inviting, and well equipped. John provides good instructions for everything from how to find it, to how to use the cottage's features easily and well. The separate recycling bins provided are very helpful. John is friendly and responsive, as well as being a wealth of information and great tips. Our only regret was that we had such a short stay. Even with that, though, we were able to enjoy a walk to the beach and the castle, a peaceful cup of coffee on the deck, and a lovely meal prepared in the well-designed kitchen. This was our stay at the end of a busy, hectic couple of days, and it was just the place to exhale and relax before we headed home. We would come back to the Isle of Skye just to stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Glenelg. The cottage was as described. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the spectacular views from the garden and every window. Murdoch rang on our arrival which was lovely and we knew we could contact him if needed.

Absolutely delighted with the cottage it was extremely clean. Very cozy and warm. We knew we would arrive in the dark but Mathew had the lights on and it was very welcoming. Views of the harbour and was great watching the smaller fishing boats . Skye was beautiful when we could see it as a wee bit misty The sunset in the street was beautiful. The pups even were catered for as treats left for them which was thoughtful. The driveway to park was narrow but was made when vehicles were not so big , got my VW caddy in but was tight . However I would have been happy leaving my van on the quiet street . Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and enclosed small garden was handy first thing in the morning and last thing at night Beautiful beeches, end of season but we had a chilled great weekend and no negatives about cottage . Thank you Mathew for allowing dogs and being dog friendly but being immaculate too .
