One of the best things about this house is that it's located less than a minute from Highway 11 on a paved road. This 2 bedroom home is located in a quiet neighborhood halfway between the Volcano Nat'l Park and the bayside town of Hilo(a 20 min. drive both ways).There is a fully equipped kitchen with appliances and supplies (range+oven, refrigerator, microwave, rice cooker, coffee maker, utensils, table setting, and cookware).Clean and comfortable place to come back to after a day of exploring.

Volcano, Hawaii is unique to any spot on the Islands. When you crest the 4000’ summit of Kīlauea Volcano you enter my tropical neighborhood. Our piece of paradise is across the street from Volcanoes National Park with the park entrance less than a mile away. When Kīlauea volcano is erupting, (it is currently active as of January 2023) you can see the red glow of the plume from the b&b. Your private cottage is situated on my large property surrounded by lush tropical plants and my tea garden.

Aloha! Sleep with the sounds of nature in this well equipped cozy eco-cabin in the middle of a young Ohi'a forest. We have the most amazing view of stars on clear nights, while the chorus of coqui frogs sing you their lullaby. The morning forest birds are singing oh so lovely. While this nifty little cabin is completely off the grid, because of its comfort you wouldn't notice any of it. So thank you for helping us preserve this paradise and our planet for us all.

Country Guest Home

(REF TAX ID TA005-218-0480-01) Enjoy time in a small (384 sq ft) self-contained guest shack with full kitchen in a rural setting. If you don't find the sound of coqui frogs at night obtrusive to your sleep, then this space would be suitable. While you will have privacy, my dad stays in the main house in case you need assistance in person. We are located at about 100 foot of elevation which provides for relatively cooler nights.

Though the rental is far from the slow, red cinder road that takes you there, town and stores are accessible via new highway with memorable views through the 2018 Kilauea lava flow.
