The property is built beneath the GG Swell Museum, and learning about his pivotal role in the region’s past added so much meaning to our visit. What makes it even more special is that the next generation of GG Swell’s family is lovingly preserving this legacy while managing the stay. Thank you, Yassian we wish we had a chance to meet you in person! As for the stay itself, it’s like being in a jungle paradise. You’re surrounded by nature, and while the insects are real (keep those doors sealed!), you're also guaranteed one of the most peaceful sleeps you'll ever have. Bakor handled all the stay logistics smoothly, and Memory well, she truly lives up to her name, leaving us with memories we’ll cherish. Highly recommended for anyone visiting!

Very homely stay. The host was very very helpful and took good care to see that every need was met.

Good place for a short stay. Everything looks like the pics, it was spick and span, heater and geyser are available, there is a restaurant opposite. The kitchen is well appointed. Only drawback for me was the height of the bedroom ceiling upstairs. The low ceiling made sitting up in bed impossible,also had to bend down just to get onto the upper level. Batista is very helpful and recommended a great driver as well.He was also helpful in making guide arrangements for Mawphlang sacred grove and the David Scott trail. Be aware that Mawphlang in general seems very cold compared to the rest of Meghalaya, in my experience, as we visited Shillong,Sohra,Shnongpdeng etc all of which were much warmer. It was 7 degrees at night in Mawphlang and we visited in March,which I think is summer for Meghalaya.We struggled with the cold and were thankful we were there only for a night.

Definitely a home away from home; Couldn’t have asked for a better place to reside at. From cleanliness to reliability they absolutely have it all. Huge credits to the caretaker for making the stay so amazing; Highly recommended if you are in Shillong!

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The host, Banteilor, was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our visit. From assisting with local shopping and groceries to helping us place orders and arrange cabs, Banteilor made sure everything was seamless and stress-free. He also provided great local recommendations, which enhanced our overall experience. The apartment itself was located in a well-maintained flat with beautifully done interiors. It was absolutely spotless, comfortable, and felt just like home. Everything was clean and thoughtfully arranged, making it an ideal choice for families looking for a cozy and convenient place to stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, well-equipped home with a fantastic host. We’d definitely love to return!

Amazing stay and lapyn. The place was exactly as deceived in the photos. Kitchen had all the utensils to cook if needed. Had heater which was helpful in the conditions. We just loved the place and would definitely recommend others. Lots of shops near by and about 2km from police bazaar and can get shared taxi from police bazaar if needed

Emmanuel was a great host very hospitable and ever ready to help immediete response to queries, the apartment was great we'll set up had everything needed a home away from home was so relaxed and enjoyed everyday of my stay, beautiful balcony overlooking the heart of laithumkrah, everything was nearby transport restaurants markets d lot, will definitely visit again Kudos to u Emmanuel Cheers once again..
